Bill Fillmaff Makes Online Poker Final Table Video
DB10-2 replied to Kevin Bowen's topic in General Poker Forum
i watched it. pretty funny. -
man, i got janked by the krablar last night.down to three-handed in my home game, and me and another guy are sitting on maybe 6.5k in chips with blinds at 400-800. the other guy left in the game had about 12k, so whoever went out next was either going to make him a huge chip leader or be heads up with a slight lead.chip leader folds the button, and the SB (who i had covered by about 300 chips, mind you) moves all in. knowing how he plays, i looked down at the vaunted K-3 off and knew my king high was good and he probably had a stupid hand, or at least a hand stupider than mine. after thinking

yeah, pretty much. i was playing O8 one time a few tables over from the mexican poker when one really drunken guy jumped up screaming in spanish. two other guys from the table then hopped up and a shoving match (in spanish) ensued. keep in mind that drunken mexican guys yelling at and shoving each other isn't even really that uncommon at the bike, but what happened next was something i'd never seen before:one of the security guys came running up and dropped a flying tackle on the first guy at full speed. the guy wasn't very big and they went down into a heap off to the side, but apparently the

if i put a really sick beat on somebody, i make sure to rub it in by telling them how badly i outplayed them on that hand.

do any casinos in CA even card? if you go to a big room like the bike or commerce, i can't imagine they're going to ask for ID.
-
so awesome. i'm starting to think this guy isn't for real.

i don't know if there is a right answer here. odds probably say to call against the likely hands we've discussed, but the chances of winning are, obviously, low.i'm most concerned about AA with doublesuited cards in the high-straight ballpark of my hand. so, if my hand makes a straight, i'm probably in danger to a hand like AA89 or AA910 or something. that's the real problem with the hand. the same goes for making a low flush against nut flush draws.with two players all in, somebody's probably got our hand in a pretty bad spot. i think, overall, it's a bad gamble. fold.

$15 buy in, $10 rebuys (actually, reloads) for the first 3 levels, usually 8-14 people play, top 3 or 4 paid. it's not big money, but it's a fun time. players of all skill levels--there are some sharks, and some donators. if you're looking to meet nice people and play some low home game poker, PM me.

it's all because of the WPT lawsuit! GODDAMMIT!

What Do The Following Players Have In Common?

i never said i believe it, just that it's what i've heard them say. i don't think they're even after damages from the suit as much as they're after the endorsement money a less restrictive release might open up to them. or, gee, maybe it really is principle. but i think most people agree that it's better to stand on a principle that's profitable rather than one that is not. take your own conclusions from that. -
personally, i felt a bit better knowing that even a player with as much talent and success as DN can go on tilt and make bad plays. as a fan of his it was painful--but instructive--to watch.

What Do The Following Players Have In Common?

with all due respect, this is idiotic reasoning. foremost, there are no guarantees that these players' financial records will ever become public knowledge. the courts have the power to keep private matters like that under seal, and any good lawyer will ask to have that happen before they are ever produced. second, very few of the "gamblers" that read and post in these forums make the kind of money the IRS is ever going to care about. also on that note, any gambler who does make that kind of money has already been told that cheating on their taxes is the #1 way to ruin a good thing--most top p -
late last night, phil was at the bike in the high limit section sweating someone else who was playing (i think) chinese poker. toto leonidas was at the next table in a $200-$400 blind mixed game and ESPN classic was showing the US poker championships from 2003 when toto made a donk call against phil and still sucked out on him to bust him in 3rd. phil was actually pretty funny in person and didn't come off as much of a **** at all, even while those hands were playing out behind them on TV. i think his dog and pony "poker brat" routine is mostly reserved for TV.

what "damage" do most of us even have wrapped up in this? what do we care? i can't see how most players here aside from DN and maybe a few other high stakes pros would even care. so what if DN can't make money off FCP's poker room? what do you care? all it probably means is that if you want to chunk off your money in $25-$100 increments, you'll just have to find another way to do it.there are so many people on this board who say the lawsuit is bad when it's clear they're only doing so because DN says so. it's a joke. -
i ran into some tough players at MGM. it sucks when there are like 2-3 players at a table who can play and the rest are awful, nervous tourists. the MGM is where i played what is, still to this day, The Best Hand I Ever Played :nervous touristy midwestern kid in MP raises the $3 blind to $9. LP--a good, creative player who obviously plays a lot because he knows the dealers, calls (he also has about $750 at a $200 max table, something that seems to have escaped MP's notice). i'm BB and have AA, so I pop it to $35 to go. MP calls quickly and I put him on TT-QQ. LP thinks, counts, calls. I think,

they have similar games in LA: $40 max 1-2NL. these games are high-action, high-volatility. plan to have at least 2-4 buyins if you want to play comfortably and profitably. if the luxor game plays anything like the ones i've seen in LA, you can crush them if you have any idea at all about what you're doing. always keep your stack as near to $50 as you can by reloading, then wait to double or triple up. know that people have a hard time folding any kind of a pair or draw no matter how much you bet, so just punish people when you make a hand and watch yourself get paid. if the blinds are $3, you
