  1. Meet Atlanta's newest right handed bat.
  2. Yep. ACL surgery set to sideline him for 6 months. As much of a fixture as he is in the lineup, it's time for Heyward to assume his rightful spot as the 3 hole hitter for the next 10 years.
  3. I was wrong, the Mets lost last night and the Braves retained the small lead. However, after today's losses by NY and Philly, the Braves gain a game on both, on the back of a Kenshin Kawakami gem for his first W of the season.
  4. My understanding is that the alcohol is never 100% cooked off. As it evaporates, the moisture condenses on the side of the pan, on the food itself, etc. Whatever is left is a trace amount, sure, but it's still there. Added to the other reasons already stated, I think there's a strong case to be made for her to get the boot.Like I said, though, I have no doubt that the pudding was awful and deserving of elimination as well.
  5. It's a disagreement with the outcome of the judge's table. I realize blondie ignored the point of the challenge by adding that much sugar, and I'm sure the dish was completely disgusting. However, Amanda completely screwed up on this one. She thought serving a dish with alcohol in it to a group of school kids was a great idea. She's an idiot. Whatever amount of alcohol was left at the end of the cooking process was minimal, sure, but it was still a bad idea and she had to know the judges would roast her for it.Of course, at the end of the day, that entire team screwed up. Nobody called her out
  6. We just lost our share of first. The Muts have sole possession now. Outside of Hanson's blow up, the pitching was fine, we just need to get the bats going and try to find some more power. With any luck, Bobby will sit Heyward for a few days and see if his thumb heals. A hot Heyward will do wonders for this team.
  7. So it's better to serve alcohol than sugar to school children. Gotcha.
  8. I'm going to assume you're talking about Peter Dinklage. Otherwise you would be horribly wrong.
  9. The Hangover."Men should be like Kleenex- soft, strong, and disposable."
  10. Agreed, though I would have lked to see a little more from the emotional wreck who also got the ax.
  11. Phillies bullplen implodes, blows 5 run lead, lose 13-10 in extra innings. lol
  12. It feels dirty, I agree. And of course they lose. Fucking Yankees.
  13. Close enough. I don't get Peachtree games and had to watch it on ESPN Gamecast. How did Heyward's homer look live?
  14. JJ needs to shake the rust off and get back into the rotation and Heyward absolutely must get his thumb healthy. However, McLouth can stay on the DL forever for all I care.
  15. 2/3 in Minnestoa, now 1.5 games up on the Mets with a much needed day off today.
  16. He pitched his ass off. We should have taken 3/4 from the DBacks with ease.If we grab 1 from Minny, we're guaranteed the division lead when we getback home for the Rays.
  17. Heyward is up to second in the voting, so he might not get that long weekend off. Also, Prado and McCann (I believe) have both moved to number 2 in the voting.
  18. And it might have happened if Cox has brought in Wagner instead of Chavez. Wags hasn't pitched in 3 or 4 days, and Chavez is a walking disaster.Splitting 4 with the Dodgers on the road isn't a bad way to start the road trip, though. Especially if we can take 3 in Arizona. Also, according to Pendelton, Heyward's thumb injury might slow him down all year.http://blogs.ajc.com/atlanta-braves-blog/2...nta_braves_blog
  19. The Braves completed the sweep today. Lowe pitched 8 innings of 1 run ball to get the W.
  20. Done and done. The boys didn't let up today and Tommy Hanson looked like he's getting into a groove now. With Huddy and Lowe going in the next two, I wouldn't be surprised to win at least 2/3 this series.
