Now that we're officially 2 weeks away from the final table, I thought this would be a good time to get together for our annual river card pool. I've run this successfully the past couple of years 2008 Pool 2007 Pool .This years edition will follow the same format as the 2008 one. $20/entry, starting with one card per person, and we'll allow people to purchase a second card if we don't sell it out by game day. Payment is to be made on pokerstars only. Send to bdcfcp (city - Dutton FCP). If you don't have stars or need a transfer, post in the thread anyway and I'll lock up a card for you un

this guy's so delusional. At least the habs can look forward to seeing a couple first round draft picks in '10 and '11.By that time Kessel's shoulder will be in pieces and he'll be doing commentary on sportsnet sitting next to Kypreos.

My other thought was that it was the habs' home opener. You knew the bell centre would be packed full and with a long drawn out opening ceremony and the fact they'd been off a few days, I figured the players would be full of adrenaline early on and might just crash as the game went on. I think it was a great spot, and I'd have stuck by it even if I'd lost.

you just can't stand being wrong can you? Don't forget to update us how it goes betting on the leafs for the next 10 games, I look forward to hearing about it.

It's funny I so rarely bet against Montreal, but it's almost a win/win thing. If they lose, I make money, if they play well and win, I'm happy anyway (not like it's life changing money I'm betting here...)I just think they're playing terrible hockey right now. I saw it first hand in Buffalo a week ago saturday. They had NO business even being in that game, let alone pulling out the win in overtime. Not only were they outshot by a massive margin in the first and third periods, they were outplayed from the drop of the puck to the buzzer. Their defensive positioning was terrible and they wer

Care to put $25 at +137 on it??
-
Wow, I turned on fox there for a second. They're blaming it all on Barack Obama's healthcare plan. Shocking.

ding ding ding.I had my whole pinnacle roll (all $75 of it...sigh) on colorado the other night - and will be betting them again tonight against montreal. I'm at work so can't check the odds, but last night when the lines went up I got Col at +122 for $50. If they're still +anything tonight when I get home I'll probably bet the rest. Montreal is playing terribly....

Please can I book ALL these bets?

oops sry not trying to undercut dale =-= but i'll take action on that too if you're giving it -
I don't get why you think the players are "barraged with negativity". I prefer to think of it as being ACCOUNTABLE for their (mostly poor) play.
-
shoulda had this yesterday, avs were +122 over the leafs. easiest account doubleup i've ever had.
-
who are you?If that offended you I apologize, it just seemed a bit rediculous for you to say this wasn't a wa/wb situation, then go on to describe it pretty much exactly AS one...I have honestly never seen you on here. It wasn't a personal attack
-
yes it was obv an intentional overstatement

I think if you just folded every single time you got checkraised at full ring plo with less than the mortal nuts, you'd come out waaay far ahead in the long run. This hand isn't that big of a deal, fold and get him next time.

what's that job pay?? lol ;)It just works better for me with my job/shift work because I can't commit to being somewhere every saturday/sunday at whatever time. With reffing I can work it around my schedule.

Dickhead, do you know what the term WA/WB means?"and destroy like a million" <---Way Ahead"we lose to exactly 3 combos..." <---Way Behind
-
Not that Montreal is looking much more promising right now but wow...this is ugly....

Here's why I just flat here. For argument's sake, lets say UTG has another $7 left. That's 14bb at this stake. One of the first things I learned when moving to heads up was the following statement "protect every bb". A good plo winrate is 5-6bb/100. Thus, 14bb should not be an insignificant amount. UTG is obviously never folding here, no matter what. I'd rather see a turn before getting the rest in. Who knows, maybe the board runs out terribly, maybe the flush comes and the 3 pairs, whatever. If we can save $7 on the times that we're never going to be ahead, that's 14bb that we don't
