First off, I am a christian because that is what I choose to believe in (not trying to start a war here, just background). Mother is Catholic, father is Protestant. The difference that we need to establish, to a certain and limited degree, is that we are not trying to just slay people for the reason of slaying them. With Saddam, we threw out quite a bit of propoganda (I think I spelt it right) that ended up helping our cause out to a certain degree. Yes, he did release a statement saying he was ready to die as a martyr, but he also had a statement released before that (I heard it on the news, still looking it up) stating somthing along the lines of regret for what he did. Reguardless of the situation, I felt that a golden opportunity slipped away from them. Look what they did with Saddam before he was going to be killed. They put on television that he said he was sorry for what he did. Jesus, if that isn't a way to try and take a slight mental advantage, then I don't know what is. Somthing like that could have stutter-stepped some of the resistance and the power from the terrorists. It wouldn't have made a HUGE dent more then likely, but it still might have made some sort of change.

On a personal note, I am glad that some people feel like this event gives them closure from the 9/11 attacks that they may have been personally been affected by. If the death of Osama was somthing to give them closure, then I hope they can move forward. On a professional note, I am not going to celebrate or scorn anyone who does.
