  1. I have read a few of the major poker books (supersystems I/II, Dan Harrington's Tournament Poker) But I was wondering if there are any really good books out there that go into detail specifically with tells/mannerisms of poker players, much less people. Thanks!

  2. Nice try. If we are going by contributions to the drunk thread then I am the FCP member of the year! king_tanner 192 rcgs59 46 CrookedLink 38 troyomac 27 PillyPill 27 tbrick412 25 grocery_mony 25 lurbz 25 mark_999 24 TheWynn 22 Potomophobia 22 babylondonks 19 Gallo 19 Suited_Up 19 MaxStPolish 19 kobe2odom8 17 wsox8 16 pt special 14 Vick12 13 StrippersNBlow 13 EStormOk 11 chgocubs99 11 FARGOpokerND 11 AAsnake88 10 Ko8e34 10 avsfan 10 TrueAce13 10 RDog 9 mase_gotsem 9 Knollie919 8 DiamondDixie 8 bigcoled 6 Sick Boy 6 whatgreatis 6 Gaffer 6 chrozzo 6 BeaverStyle 6 king1305 5 Zach6668 5 fitzinabox 5 Canary3 5 herly33 5 SlapStick 5 Franchise632 5 Wandigo 5 magnus72 5 KevinFKHS 4 Pack149 4 Ex_Matt 4 Vtlaxer09 4 No_Neck 4 david_keena 4 ncperrotta069 4 GrinderMJ 4 outsider13 4 Painter567 4 Poker Addict 4 mclumpo 4 pokerinc 4 clingfree 4 FCP Bob 3 slink 3 AK_bigslick 3 NoSup4U 3 bdc30 3 mrpaddyx 3 Kaveros 3 rivergirl 3 HighwayStar 3 Jelly-Filled Ace 3 gary21212121 3 Veener Schnitz 3 antistuff 3 KingJames 3 gatortom64 3 Canuckickstan 3 NellaKreb 3 Mickle00 3 no not baxter 2 I_fold08 2 TB17 2 GeneralGeeWhiz 2 jkalib 2 matchstix 2 MJINK3 2 donk4life 2 DM_FLOPPEDIT 2 AcesUp46 2 JSpencer 2 Viper_13 2 JagerWolf 2 Jupiter 2 Stiles2004 2 psufans2 2 MNmiracleCJS 2 CodyDean 2 Citizen Erased 2 El Guapo 2 Ben_G 2 Snake Plissken 2 a__thekevlar__2 2 Fluffdog87 2 r0llin_game 2 Snamuh 2 therescav 2 potatoman 2 Sportsmack 2 four10 lkc 2 MadKennedy420 2 PoppinFresh 1 mr_druid 1 TwstdWrstr 1 NorthPacific 1 TRB05 1 scweeber 1 fright101 1 bdungy22 1 Elo and AG 1 terradawg 1 Lrgetrout 1 Periculo 1 Merby 1 Arsenic 1 Tehtoe 1 Mackenzieee 1 Sheiky 1 vervius 1 Cappy37 1 cubsfan44 1 custom36 1 ChuckNorr!s 1 Dhall901 1 zimmer4141 1 adamkpm 1 TB17's Mom 1 Jam-Fly 1 OMGFluffdog 1 Scriptpro727 1 Jariso13 1 theinvestor 1 Giggidy 1 jcashx36x 1 tuckermitchell 1 sealster 1 yinzerr 1 Mercury69 1 sean23 1 dizzlerock 1 nutzbuster 1 SuperJon 1 Ganseynogle 1 sKIjaKuDa 1 checkymcfold 1 looshle 1 Jordan 1 loogie 1 Ship_itt 1 The Parking Sign 1 Skeleton Jelly 1 gibler321 1 JaNnN 1 vbnautilus 1 fatman 1 Jargonator 1 JustLikeNegs 1 Bessel 1 Tank4Daze 1 The Czar 1 pckt10s 1

  4. She was living it up while her daughter was either dead or had been missing for a month. She's a psychotic **** who should have her vagina filled with concrete.Edit: imo
Never thought about the concrete part. I think the defense is doing a wonderful job defending her, though. I think they are putting up one hell of a fight.
  5. No, I don't believe the shooter should be in the military, but he certainly seems better qualified for that than he does for functioning in society.
Are you serious? You know, I really don't get ticked off, even when spademan blasted me on the religion forum. I understood what I was getting into. But are you really being serious? You might want to look at how many people who used to be in gangs, or going down a bad path that the military has helped out. Please, before you say retarded things that really do not make any sort of logical sense, check your facts. Every organization has bad apples. Every status has undesirable people. Don't try to put it like we are friggin monsters. Also, about the 'alledged gun knowledge' and so on. Yes, there is no 'alledged', due to the fact we have to qualify with a rifle every year. Also, let me put it to you this way. When a military member is put up for the medal of honor, a discussion occurs between several people to discuss if his/her actions deserve that award. Guess who is included in the discussion. MEDAL OF HONOR RECIPIENTS. So yes, what spade was saying and what I was saying (although approached slightly different) has relevance. However, I am not saying that I knew what went on and that he was right/wrong. I was just adding contribution to the conversation. Bit of advice: I would highly suggest not comparing military members to savages, seeing as we are the ones who help protect your right to call military members savages. Its really silly to spit in the face of whom is protecting you. Just saying.
  6. Wow, talk about logic you guys are all idiots that couldn't put an 8 piece puzzle together. This is the south and the guy was coming home from a Tim McGraw concert. Judging by the pic, he has a beer belly so obviously the guy was drunk. He stopped so his niece could pee, which means he was letting her drink as well so she was obviously about 18 years old and pretty hot looking in her mini-skirt and cowboy boots and had been shaking her shit all night causing the old fat drunk guy's head to swell with resentment over how his life had turned out, since he was such a loser, a schmuck that had never had sex till he was 23 in the first place missing out on all the young booty and earning him the nickname "solo" from hisonly friends, the dork ass nerds in school. At this point it's pretty obvious what happened. The drunk never gave a description of the man or the car. Why? Why does he only refer to him as a "gentleman"? Because the guy is black. As he enters the store a young black male who is on the smaller side, the type of guy who is used to being verbally abused and treated with bigotry, a guy that probably just lost his job and the company used the excuse that it was cutting back when in reality it was about the time he would have received benefits to help pay for his daughters medical bills that were mounting, medical bills because her mother was a crack whore who partook during pregnancy and has since run off leaving the weight of the world on his ever burdensome shoulders. What was his degree worth for after spending $25K on student loans for community college? And of course he has a gun, what normal black dude living in Atlanta carrying children around doesn't. You never know when you are going to get hit from either a gangbanger or some drunk ass cracker and you have a family to protect. Goddam, US of A where everyone over 12 owns two guns and he's thinking, " Why couldn't I have been born in England?"So here he is going in the store to grab a orange juice to stop the daughter in the car seat from whining from her childhood ailments and damn how was he going to afford more medicine, when this drunk ass cracker starts mouthing at him and using derogatory racial terms about how "brothers" don't know their place. Is it his fault the drunk ass loser didn't hear him mumble thanks? MF wouldn't know African American Vernacular English if it hit him in the face. So as he heads to his car this drunk ass KKK wannabe keeps mouthin' and chasin' him around and follows him to the goddam car? He was rushing back to the car in case someone called the police for leaving a child unattended and he had to reach in under the seat for the gun just to be careful since that honky loser was still following him around running his mouth, and he was starting to sweat as his daughter was looking worse now and he might have to rush her to the ER, another thing he couldn't afford but no doctors would even let him in the door without insurance and as he turns around he sees a metal flash as the guy is rushing towards him. Before he knows it the gun goes off. Crap, is it his fault the flash of metal was a foot wide cowboy ass beltbuckle? Asswipe asked for it though, and really he has no time to stay and chat since he has to get his daughter some help....So now this drunk ass cracker is sobered up and soaking up all the attention and trying to lay blame on someone else for his dimwitted blurry actions that he honestly only half remembers and isn't about to accept the blame or face the facts that he is still a loser, a loser that can't wait to get away from this interview and go home and jack off to the thought of the hot tv reporter and lay on his ass and collect unemployment and sympathy for as long as he can soak it up. He's thinking that if he lays it on thick enough the local bar will hold a charity for him like that other sick kid or something they did, and maybe he can milk his time off work for another 6 months or so.
You should write a book man!
  7. Spade, stop typing so damn much, it hurts my head. In the military (Marines), how I was instructed in MCMAP under weapons training, They usually assume closer then 30 feet is an unsafe distance with someone you might consider a hostile. Granted, this is not a warzone or anything to that nature, but the same fundamentals apply in the sense of self defense. One step can possibly bring someone within range to do bodily harm, whether it is a fist or a knife if the distance is approximately 15 feet. I don't know the specific law out where the incident occurred, but I do know that I would rather be judged by 12 then killed by 1. Someone who insists to the point of following a person on a polite response seems to show that person might be a bit mentally unstable. Walking away is suspicious, but also try to look at the other side of the scope. Maybe he went into a bit of a confusion once he shot him? Maybe it didn't register to him he did that. It is a very traumatic event with someone who gets shot, but it is also traumatic to someone who shoots and hits a person.

  8. Has anyone successfully received anything from them? I am kinda curious now. Quality good? Was it legit? How do they receive the merchandise?

  9. I'm pretty sure you're not an atheist (at least I'm inferring that from your post, please correct me if I'm wrong), and if that's the case you really have very little idea what it feels like to experience something like this. If you are an atheist, your views certainly don't represent how most of us feel. Your comparison between what happens at a public institution and a friend's dinner party is ludicrous. Part of what is so infuriating about hearing a public institution endorse particular religious beliefs comes from the fact that an important principle of government is being violated. Its one thing to be ostracized by peers at a dinner party, but to have your own government which is supposed to represent you do that is absolutely distressing. What? There is no gray area. It's a public school. They can't have prayer at a school function. The supreme court has ruled on it over and over again, even if it is student-led. Its a closed case.
I've agreed too, and I am Christian. It is what it is man.
  10. i included scientology because christianity needs to be viewed in the same context. they are both cults that preach unproveable nonsense. only one has more idiots in its flock.
And you had to say that....
  11. prayer has no place in public school. prayer has no place in public school events. if the christians want to pray before graduation they can all meet in the church basement before the ceremony and pray there. what if a muslim student demand a muslim prayer? or a jewish student? or a scientologist? should we do them all? or should we leave that idiocy out of events that everyone attends? the answer is obvious.any stand against the irrational nature of religion is a good stand.
    Lol he said scientologist. Sorry...
  12. Yep, if I go to a dinner party and my friends feel like reciting the atheist creed or whatever, or thank the FSM, I'm fine with that, just as I would be if it was said in court or at graduation.I don't care if it is against the law, it's a stupid thing to piss people off about. He did nothing legally wrong, or even morally wrong, just tactically wrong. Don't spend $1000 to solve a $1 problem.
Unfortunately, I do disagree with your statement. IN YOUR OWN PERSPECTIVE, you feel it is acceptable, which is 100% fine. However, if he has a problem with it, the who is anyone to question/judge it? It is his right. It is just like the Westboro Baptist Church. I fully disagree with them and what they believe. However, It is their right to express themself. They were backed up by the law. It's the same exact thing. He asserted his LEGAL right, but was jumped on for it. I don't think it is as much a religious problem as it is a legal issue, although the main topic is religion. What the school allowed was WRONG, legally.
  13. Yeah, that's just stupid. There's no reason to make a stand like that. A prayer at graduation isn't going to kill anyone. If you don't like it, make up your own words to mock the others and say them to yourself in your head.Seriously, even if you are an atheist, listening to a prayer doesn't hurt. Just give it a break. What next, refusing to go to a friend's house for dinner because they pray before meals? So where should you draw the line? When they try to make you actively participate, or the school's insistence on prayer becomes so pervasive that it is interfering in education. Another example might be if every class made you say a prayer before class started, and wanted everyone to participate.A prayer at special events? Not so much.
So hearing someone speak about how people who believe in god are wrong would have been acceptable too, right? Also, IT WAS AGAINST THE LAW. He did nothing wrong.
  14. Comments are appreciated, so don't worry, But I will try to respond to everything stated. Ugh. Paragraph breaks. Minor editing. An attempt at clarity and brevity. <---- Try these things.-I don't really care about the structure. However, I could have REALLY broke it down compared to just surface write. I didn't put too much of an effort. My Mother and fathers religion was mentioned for background AND was MEANT to be funny. FYI.The path that I was speaking of made sense if you followed it. I said that I try to use the bible as a guideline for how to live my life. Honestly, I don't think I really need to explain that further. Also said that I am not perfect, and do slip off the path. Let me define path moreso, because that should have been thrown in the explination. I view the path as MY PERSONAL interpretation of the bible, or of what I know of it. What I have been explained, accepted, and so on. I am sorry you weren't able to understand what I was saying. Let me give you a smaller example about what I was trying to say with the rest. Someone so proud as to be obnoxious about religion to the point that they attempt to belittle a person who puts their faith in somthing they are unable to see, feel, or touch shows ignorance and closed-mindedness. Granted, I am not saying conform to any specific religion. However, instead of just trying to blast a person for believing in somthing, why not just state your point in a dignified way and move on. As for the 'use a bible to guide and strive', I try to use the overall message of being a better person to infulence my day. Do not confuse that with 'I am better then you' better person, but when it comes to temptation, anger, so on and so forth, I try to 'turn the other cheek'. I am not enough of a bible thumper, per say, to be obnoxious to any other religion. I do look, here and there, into the different religions. I haven't found a good book about the different religions, so any suggestions would be nice. As for spademan, the critique was nice, although you tried to dominate a bit more then you needed. I don't agree with all things that the bible has in it. I do think there are flaws. It was written by man, whom is not perfect. Therefore, the bible is unable to be perfect. As for the thanking god for everything.... It's just a weird position I take. I thank god for waking me up, putting me to sleep, and giving me another chance to do it again. However, I work, which gives me money for food and shelter, which I use for both. If I were homeless, and I received food and shelter, then I would thank him. However, its the free will that I am given that allows me to work for what I have. Again, probably a weird view, but its just a personal one. Nothing to take away from him. I just view that more as common sense then anything else. Thanks for the critique Spade.
