  1. I'm in co with J q . 2 limpers to me and I limp, button and blinds call so it's 6 to the flop. Table is loose/passive but my read on bb is weak/tight. My image is loose/aggro, mainly because I've been hitting good hands and winning with a showdown. Flop is k 9 10 . I flop the nut straight with the OESFD. Bb bets, 2 limpers fold, I raise, button folds, bb 3 bets, I cap, bb calls. Turn is Q . He checks, I bet. He calls.Turn is 9 . He checks, I...?
  2. The official word, as far as I know, is that there is absolutely no rakeback on Party. However, from what I read Party is willing to sneak you some rakeback if you are a high volume player, meaning you generate thousands of dollars in rakeback a month, but otherwise you are out of luck. I would imagine most of the people grinding the low/mid limits are in the out of luck territory.
  3. I'd check it. I don't think the semiaggro would be raising anything that we can beat with a K or Q on the river, and it would only drive out people with a piece of the board who we would want to value bet should the draw come in. I don't think there is enough fold equity here, as it is highly dubious you'd have an 8 as the preflop raiser.
  4. I haven't played nl in a while but here's my take on the situation. 66 is not a good hand against two other people, although preflop you are likely around 40% with each of them 30% assuming there is no domination. However, you are out of position with a hand that is hard to play unless there is an ideal flop, not to mention you might be bluffing into a dry sidepot only to then be vulnerable to the guy who is all in. Taking your stacks into consideration, by investing $55 preflop you do not have the implied odds to try for a set against a potential overpair. I would lay it down and wait for
  5. I like it. This is the kind of move I never have the balls to pull at the more expensive buy in games, which I'm always berating myself for. I salute your testicular forititude.
  6. There are more flushes seen because people will play any two suited and habitually get all thier chips in with just a flush draw vs any other type of draw. Saying that should affect the value of the hand is just stupid. I see people showdown A way more than K, does that mean Ks should be the higher card?
  7. Complaining about no Dom at the table? Phil sounds like a spoiled little jackass.
  8. Terrible opponents means you get value from calling more and jamming your good hands. It does not change the fact that the cards in your hand are marginal at best given the flop. Aseem is not going to outplay his opponents here by pulling any higher level thinking or metagame nonsense....he pure and simply needs to get lucky, especially with a passive player betting into him and a maniac on his right making everything expensive.
  9. Wow if you get angry at that don't ever play low limit live at a casino.
  10. I cap that flop and lead the turn. No party low limit player raises trips on the flop.
  11. I fold the flop. I'm likely beat, all I have are possibly dirty over cards and a backdoor flush draw, and there are numerous cards which put four to a straight on the board which could leave me drawing dead. I don't think I can call two bets profitably here. I wouldn't fold the river here, but I don't think the flop call was good.
  12. Don't forget to mention that it is a 20x raked hand requirement, which is pretty worthless unless you play the NL tables.
  13. Why is Smash's avatar some ugly chick?
  14. I didn't know us Azns had such a crappy image at the poker tables.
  15. I would most certainly not be raising that flop. All you have are two weak overcard draws. Even if you hit top pair on the turn there are numerous redraws against you hand. Considering your weak position and the small size of the pot, I would fold the flop. However, I think you need to bet this turn. A check here screams freecard play and you will not likely see the river for free. So bet because you might get fold equity from mediocore hands or low flush draws, and have a good number of outs against a checkraise.
  16. Tough but easy fold. Does that even make sense?
  17. This seems like a big brag post of "the grinder/rock got so sick of me he was committed to calling down with a made hand that beats mine (although not the best hand), and I was so aggro I bluffed him anyway." There honestly does not seem to be much discussion here. Disregarding how you could have played earlier streets, clearly the turn is not a fold since you still have clean outs and your implied odds on the flush are potentially huge. I believe the implication is that calling the checkraise is not an option, as villian will lead out with a large bet on the river regardless of what falls, wh
  18. Me and my friend go over hands all the time....but the words "supersystems said to not do it" has never come up. It's all situation dependent, and by the book play will only take you so far. However, I can't comment unless you can give an example of "mixing up" your play. I don't play deep stack games, but frankly 95% of all the "creative" play I see is people being too smart for thier own good.
  19. Annie Duke is gross, implants or not.
  20. It depends on how much you think you can milk your opponents. You have the current nuts, with the draw to the nut flush. You have nearly nothing to worry about, and pushing all in will likely not protect your hand against two pair/set even if someone has one. People are just about drawing dead here, so I value bet it.
  21. No, the monthly $100 reload bonus ended on the 14th.
