  1. I enjoyed the blog immensely Daniel.I am not a "practicing" religious person, but that doesn't mean I don't have faith. And, I only wish I had people with whom I could share my feelings (other than my wife).I applaud you for speaking your mind, because it is your life after all....and your blog. If you feel the need to vent, or share something about your life, so be it!!Never let anyone question your motivation, or your right to share your feelings & thoughts with us.Thank you again, and good luck from here on out.
  2. Thanks for the post Blair. I have always thought you were underrated (as are quite a few others). As for actions like Dutch's getting attention, unfortunately it's our country's sad "National Enquirer" personality that fuels it. And, the media are only too happy to cater to it.Hope to see more postings from you.
  3. Okay, on the main FCP site it says the Sunday freeroll has been moved to 1 P.M. EST, but I went to register, and it says registration isn't until 3!!! WTF, over????This new site is getting REALLY tiresome in a frigging hurry!!
  4. Haven't seen that done around here for quite awhile. But, then again, since I work during the day, that's probably why.I know they used to fund Veteran's activities with those donations, but didn't know they were still doing them.
  5. ProfBackwards has joined the game at the $1000/2000 table.
  6. Gus Hansen is sitting at Pantheon ($200/400 PLO) and Pearl ($1000/2000 OHL)right now with Benyamine & CrazyZachary at the PLO table and the OHL table also.
  7. Only ever met 1 face-to-face. It was at the 2005 WSOP. We were walking down the hall and saw E-dog. I wasn't going to even stop, but he's my oldest son's favorite. So, we went up to him, just to say "Hi" basically. Ended up talking to him for probably 10-15 minutes. Talked about the local college football team, about our anniversary (which we were there celebrating)...lots of actual chat.Great guy.Hoping to meet a few others when the WSOP Circuit event hits Council Bluffs next February. Contacted DN on his MySpace page, he said he wasn't coming. Thanks again Daniel for the reply. Not a lot of p
  8. I realize this was supposed to be a "speculation thread", but has turned into an "I want" thread. In that vein, I'd like to see FT.
  9. God!! Why didn't I think of that???Seriously, I asked when registration had started, and was told it wouldn't open until next year. That's the reason I mentioned Phil.Is it like a "verbal commitment" in college sports...IE...means diddly?? I assume so.
  10. I was just wondering if you had any tentative plans to be at the WSOP Circuit event at the Horseshoe in Council Bluffs, Iowa in February. I spoke to the poker room manager there the other day and he mentioned that Phil Gordon had already "committed to the event", whatever that means.
  11. Well, although I'm just a micro-limit player I want to add my thoughts.#1: Daniel, thank you and all involved at FCP for sticking with us.#2: I would like to add my vote to going with Full Tilt if at all possible. I love their software, features, table layouts, etc. Plus, their format for s'ng's is a lot more conducive to me since I play at my lunch break. FT has them running constantly, while the current FCP ones seem to be only every 1/2 hour.
  12. In the time it took me to read the first 3 pages of this, there were 2 more pages added.Option 1.
  13. Hate to say it, but normally I don't agree with Baloon Guy on a lot of things; but it doesn't matter because I rarely post on here anyway. I will say that this whole thing has prompted me to post 3 times in about an hour, so you can see how up in arms it has gotten me.Daniel is free to say what he wants, because it's his blog. His opinion is valid for that reason alone if need be.I intend to join the PPA also as soon as funds become available. Thinking about cashing out my NETELLER account until this whole thing is better defined as to what we need to worry about. My poker account is just that
  14. Personal opinion only, but this PC world we live in makes me want to hurl!!!If you think someone is a ******-bag, why shouldn't DN express his feelings towards that person???Did Mr. Frist go to all the media and tell everyone and their dog what he was planning on doing?? NO!! So why should we worry about his feelings, or those who care nothing about ours??I realize that this is the way things get done, and has been for a long time (anyone ever see Mr. Smith goes to Washington??). We aren't going to change that by being PC and saying "excuse me but I don't like this". We're going to get it chan
  15. I got a message from DN yesterday on MySpace after I wrote him asking if he was planning on addressing this fiasco. His reply was basically "I will be doing this shortly either in my blog on my CardPlayer article".I assume that since his blog didn't go into a great deal of detail about his feelings/views on the matter that we'll be seeing more shortly.
  16. I know that Daniel does have a MySpace page, and I'm certain it's the right one. But for every even semi-famous name in the world, there's 5-10 pages with the same name or a variation of it.Too bad people can't just be themselves, instead of pretending to be someone else just to try and sucker people in.Is there some way to "rat them out" so to speak? Maybe get their page removed or something??TheCorporation said "Rat bastards Daniel. They are rat bastards.", but I'd amend that to DIRTY rat bastards.
  17. I keep all of our brave Armed Forces people in my prayers and thoughts at all times anyway. But now I can add another special person.Keep your head down, and come back home safe.
  18. Ah yes....another keyboard commando with 4810 posts to his user name. I forgot, that gives you the power of sarcasm against which there is no defense. Why oh why did I dare to match wits with you, one of the self-proclaimed gods of the forum???
  19. I understood the poll, but my post was saying that his blog has been about himself. I would think we can assume his posts also follow that genre now. It's not all Poker, all the time; it's about the greater experiences. The only one on drugs are those who think there's something wrong with his posts. Read between the lines, embrace what he's saying. I.E. get a clue!!!!
  20. Since you didn't put a choice for "None of the above" I didn't vote.Seems to me like Daniel's going back to doing a blog about himself, not just poker. What's wrong with that??The whole idea of a blog is to tell people about the daily goings-on in your life, and he's doing that. Letting us in on the inner workings of the man himself.I for one applaud Daniel. There's 20 bazillion places you can read about poker, but only one where you can read about Daniel.Go get 'em Daniel. Keep up the good work!! I'll keep reading.Edited to add: I do wish you could make the blog more often, but with all the o
  21. Thanks!! I figured as much, but since I'm paranoid, thought I should ask.
  22. Will we receive some official notification? Or do we just show up? I deposited $25, so I'm guessing that I'm auto-qualified for the tourney on the 27th of August, correct?
