I too extend my best wishes to Lori. It sounds like a very amicable parting of the ways, and they are still friends, so no condolences are needed.

A big hand for the little lady. Gotta love Henry Fonda.Basically a poker meets "The Sting" movie.

Pretty much I d/l'ed it (took like 20 mins. with some add-on) and played at lunch. I may not be anywhere near a pro, but these people make me look like one!!

My main concern is it worth frigging $20 a month to win that junk?? I mean the only really good prizes they have are for "Members" only.I may d/l it at work to pass some time, but those guys need my $20 a month like Lindsay Lohan needs another drink.

I was trying to inject some humor, referencing the AP cheating thread. That's why I originally posted this in the General forum. Thanks for moving it though, whoever did it.Not looking for sympathy as I knew I messed up going off a read from previous play with this person and my notes on them.I only play the $2.25 sng's because that's in my bankroll, supporting a disabled wife and 2 sons. And, I've only played for cash sparingly; unlike you high rollers. Thanks for the input though. I'll go back to lurking and trying to learn from all of you.

I agree totally. My screw-up.Here's a later hand. Different outcome though. Hands like this are where I got my read from. If I were paranoid, I'd say this fool could see the cards that were going to come. I have notes on this player saying that he/she/it LOVES to bluff with nothing, but I never expected anything like this: Full Tilt Poker Game #3886703158: $2 + $0.25 Sit & Go (29586449), Table 1 - 15/30 - No Limit Hold'em - 20:50:15 ET - 2007/10/17Seat 1: Nubin (1,035)Seat 2: King Kinser 11 (1,455)Seat 3: bluffG (1,455)Seat 4: rexeffex (1,545)Seat 5: thebege5 (1,500)Seat 6: acespina (1,320)Seat 7: olympicvista (1,500)Seat 8: poksmk (1,500)Seat 9: husker mom (2,190)rexeffex posts the small blind of 15thebege5

Keep up the good work Daniel. Hopefully you'll start hitting some cards and go on a better run than Eli did. We're all waiting to see you take that sucker down!!!! -
Currently (2:43 P.M. Central) o_drunkenboxer is playing 8 1/2 NL tables, mariorjr is at 1 and the other 2 are not playing. Side note, mariorjr isn't at any of the table drunken is.

I really enjoyed it, laughed almost the whole time.1 question though, do those 2 not know how long it takes to get alcohol "INTO" your system so that it affects the breathalyzer? I mean, yes there's a small effect from what's in your stomach and residually in your mouth, but c'mon."Let's drink for 20 minutes straight and see if that does it!!". C'mon!!!I will be watching this from now on; online of course since we don't get it around here.

Sorry, hadn't checked general forum when I posted this. Just figured since it was in his blog, it should go here. As for Mike golfing, I figure if it involves gambling of some sort, he's there.

Just watched the latest blog, and OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, is the show with Antonio & Phil hilarious. Just 2 buddies, out in the world trying to best the other one. And some of the bets!!! I won't spoil it in case someone hasn't watched it. But, you definitely need to check it out.

Well, the last one "Hold'em Wisdom for All Players" came signed for an additional $5. I would suppose this one might be available in a similar fashion for a similar price.P.S. At least I "think" he signed it.....the scrawl was almost illegible. Probably because he'd signed 4,999 copies before mine.

Personally, I blame myself. We saw Norm Chad walking down the hall at the Rio prior to the WSOP 2 years ago, and I failed to take his life. Sorry.Seriously though.....I believe I'd rather sit next to Phil Helmuth, beat him with 7,2 off-suit and listen for the next 12 hours than be subjected to Norman Chad for even 5 minutes.
-
Okay, another good one!!!! If there was even a SHRED of truth in the fact you were looking to be like Phil, I bet there'd be more than a few fans you'd lose.

Firstly; to SemiBaked....I apologize if I jumped to the logical conclusion. Please inform me of the actual connotation of your screen name if you would.Secondly, 11 to 1; you seem to have a fairly good basic knowledge of Bi-polar which is pretty unusual. You were correct about one of the key ingredients being support, and I think that Mike has that in abundance through his family. You also hit the nail on the head when you mentioned stressful situations. Add to this the sheer numbers of people in his immediate vicinity, many of them scrambling to get close to him for one reason or another, and

Well, I assume that I do.
-
Well, let's see where I may have gotten the perception you deny. Your screen name is "SemiBaked".Naaaah....no reason to assume anything. And no, I don't think his ramblings are meant as anything more than kidding. There may be 1 instance out of 100 where he's actually hurtful, but I doubt it's anything more than a lapse into his problem of Bi-polar.Have you ever lived with anyone with bi-polar? My wife's suffered from it for 15 years. Believe me, there's no intent there; but sometimes it cannot be helped. The occasions are few and far between, but do VERY rarely happen.Now....if you want to t

Semi-Baked; Perhaps if you stopped self-medicating yourself, your viewpoint of reality would be a little closer to the norm.Mike is Mike, plain and simple. It's just a persona he puts on when he plays; no different than anyone else who has a "character" that they play. Phil Laak does it, Tony G does it, Helmuth does it (although personally I think this is closer to the real Phil than anyone elses characters are to their true personality). I've shared some interesting e-mails with Mike & his brother. Very, very nice people. I've also heard more than 1 top professional say that Mike is (para

Just talked to my oldest son, who went up there to rail. He said the only "big" names there were "Jesus", Cloutier and Phil Gordon who put on a seminar on Saturday.Cloutier had already busted out and left by the time he got there (he had a test today so didn't get there until about 3 CST), Gordon had a big stack and he didn't know about "Jesus". They were down to 130-some.

And not just the young fans. I am on the sunny side of 50, and have followed your career for a couple of years now. I have always enjoyed your style, your enthusiasm and just your "joi de vive" so to speak.Although I had messaged you on MySpace, I also felt compelled to respond here.Your blog has inspired me also. I have returned to a proper outlook on my spirituality. I had the "usual" upbringing; church every Sunday, baptism, bible school in the summer, etc. But, after my father was killed in the line of duty as a police officer when I was 13 I became a bit jaded I suppose. I began to drink
