  1. This decision had me upset all night.Last night I was in the $7500 guaranteed at Bodog. After the second break I was above average stack, but within one orbit I managed to get myself down below average after trying to play AJo in the button. So my stack dwindled down, and the players dwindled down closer and closer to the cash.Somebody just went out in 57th place, top 54 pay. The blinds are 400/800. I have 2465. I let both blinds pass, so no I'm at 1265. When I get the button I'm dealt AKo. I look at the player list... Somebody just went out at 56th.Should I try to double (or even triple?) up or eek it out past the blinds in hopes that somebody else will go out first?

  2. Messed up hand I got myself into last night.... Help me out along the streets here please? Limit .50/1.00. No reads.I'm in the BB, with 10s 10c, folds to the SB who completes.I raise. SB re-raises :?: - what should I do here?Three undercards come on the flop. 9d 4h 5d I believe? Two are suited.SB bets, I raise. SB re-raises :?: - what should I do here?Turn (Js) ? and River (2d) ? This is one of those situations I don't really know what to do in. Can you give me reasons why I either need to stay in this hand or reasons why I need to fold?

  3. I sense that you cracked a Krablar or an Ace-3 soooted. :club:
...i wanna know what the button has been calling down with
BB has 3s Kc (full house, threes full of kings). 8) he should've raised it! :D UTG doesn't show. Button doesn't show. Hero has 5d 5h (full house, fives full of threes). Outcome: Hero wins 30 BB. I've been seeing lots of fishy behavior at .10/.25, but it usually isn't this wacky at .25/.50. Is it just nano-limit at Absolute, or is 6-max this crazy everywhere where people think that their top pair pwns all?
  4. Absolute Poker 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (5 handed) converterPreflop: Hero is SB with [5d], [5h]. UTG calls, 1 fold, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks.Flop: (4 SB) [Kh], [5s], [3h] (4 players)Hero bets, BB calls, UTG calls, Button calls.Turn: (4 BB) [As] (4 players)Hero bets, Button calls, Hero calls, BB calls.River: (16 BB) [3c] (4 players)Hero bets, BB calls, UTG calls.Final Pot: 30 BBQuestion is... could I have played it different? Please tell, because this one really confused me

  5. If somebody pwns me I'll tell them nice, or nice job, but never nice hand. It's not like they had anything to do with the cards they were dealt. But the way they play them is another story.I don't say sorry either. Even the other day when my 23offsuit from the BB ended up with a full house :club: That's what they get for limping in.

  6. depends on the game type. Shorthanded, full ring, passive, aggressive, loose, tight, 1-3/1-2/2-3 blind structure??
Most are loose, limit, full ring, and 1-2 blind structure (.25/.50)
    hmm, how aggressive? avg. PFR%?
PT rates me as a SLAP. I can't remember what the range is for that. Without it in front of me I can't give you a definitive number.
im asking about the table averages. In an aggressive game you should be folding in the blinds a lot more than in a passive game. In passive games, where there are few raises preflop and even fewer threebets, its often correct to complete in the small blind with any medium connector, suited one gapper, suited two gapper, Axs or even Kxs. As soon as you are facing a raise these hands all become unplayable from the SB (Axs and some big suited one gappers may still be playable with a raise and many callers but that is much more situational).
OK, I think you kind of answered my question anyway then. I would say the table averages are passive. And the hands you listed are the range of hands I'm completing the SB with. Usually I'm folding anything but a premium hand to a raise. Thank you again!
  7. can somebody walk me through how to set up an Empire account even though I already have a party account?I can use the same neteller account, or no?
find a computer which doesnt have party installed. Download and install Empire. Create an account. MAKE SURE YOU USE A DIFFERENT EMAIL ADDRESS. All the other info can be the same, although its a good idea to change the name slightly (i.e. Matthew on Party and Matt on Empire). Thats it, now you can log on to Empire from anywhere, including your machine with party on it. Its not unheard of for players to run both at the same time so they can 8 table. BTW the reload is easily clearable.
Sorry to sound so stupid, but how I can have a different email address with the same neteller account?

  9. he left because my parents didnt approve(im know im getting flamed for saying that) and also are there ne site that allow u to play at 18?
lots of sites have are 18+, just check the user agreements.
  10. I know what approximate numbers people like to strive for in VPIP, but my question is:Is there an ideal number for VPIP from the SB. There's a stat for that right? I thought I saw it last night as I was trying to figure PT out. I've looked around and can't find what I'm looking for. Thanks for your help.

  11. OK  I was mis-represented by what I previously typed. When I hear drawing hand my mind immediately goes to middle suited connectors. I realize AQ does need to catch something, that it cannot go unimproved in a 7 way pot. Geesh. I gotta be more careful with what I type.

  12. apparently you assume the table is full of morons (all the more reason to limp methinks)...do you really think with 9 players there isn't ONE pocket pr out there?...lets give one guy A5 suited and another guy QJ...you now have four outs to improve(excluding str8's and flushes)...the lil pr has two...you still like your chances?
If there's 6 limpers before it gets to me in late position, then yes, I'm going to assume the table is full of morons. Not that this is going to be entirely accurate, but I'm using this as an example, here's an EV chart from pokerroomso using your example hands:AQ has a 4x expected value than A5s and a 10X EV than QJI'll take those odds.
