  1. IMO, It's all situational.Depending on the table, you could consider limping with all of those, or none of those. I know you said "assuming that a raise from later posistion players hardly ever occurs", so ok, factor that in, but now you have to ask yourself how many other people on average limp in? Will it just be you and one late position limper? Are there 6 players seeing a flop regularly?

  2. Full Tilt.
Full Tilt's bonus takes quite a bit of time to clear though.
True but if your going strictly by dollars and sense it can't be beat.
Cents, maybe, but a 16.67X bonus makes no sense when there's plenty of 10x bonuses out there. Even Noble Poker has a comparable dollar amount bonus and it's a 12.5X bonus (at 2/4).
    16.67x is larger than 10x
Exactly.Which means it's harder to clear. It takes 16.67 raked hands to make $1 in bonus rather than 10 raked hands to make $1 in bonus. So after 1000 hands, you can have $60 in bonus with 16.67X or $100 in bonus with 10X.
  3. I've played at a bunch of sites. I was wondering what you guys thought of AP. As far as:1. Bonus clearing2. Ring games3. TourneysI was drawn to the site b/e of the possiblity to win a seat to the WSOP 2006 or Foxwoods. Thanks guys/gals.
It's a decent bonus. 10x I believe? Clears pretty easy. Problem is, lots of bonus whores, as they have reload bonuses at least weekly. The ring games are ok, a little on the tight side, I think, if you're at anything above .10/.25. They have a decent amount of 6-max games if that's your bag. Just a couple full ring at each level if I remember right.I think I only participated in a couple tourneys, and they seem to go well. I was in a freeroll on Sunday, and it seemed like the blinds may have gone up a little quick. Maybe every ten minutes are so. Not too bad if you're in a big tourney. The main complaint everybody seems to have is the software. I wasn't having any troubles with it until a few weeks ago, and it really crapped out on me then. Connection issues, and crashes too. They seemed to have stopped now, as I didn't crash or have connection issues at all on Sunday. Everybody's got some kind of complaint about the software at some point though.Hope that helped.

  5. the bodog bonus is now 10%. If you've got $500 and you want a decent bonus that's easy to clear, try pokerrewards. It's a 50% bonus up to $200, and it clears at a 10X rate. it's a prima skin, so there's plenty of games, and a LOT of chasers.See my sig... sign up through there.

  6. I want to say only call the river, but I'm not sure that's right either. I'd probably play it the same. Boy do reads help. How is the general play in these satellites? The more donkish they are, the more I prefer a river raise.
Fairly donkish as alot of people thought it was a NL tourney. If I would have just called the river rather than raise, I would be even farther shortstacked. edit: If I just call his river bet, I'm left with 125.The converter wasn't accurate, the pot was T1425
  7. Tonights PPM SatelliteJust tell me this made sense. Player just got moved to my table a few hands before. This was the first action I saw him in....Party Poker Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind t50 (10 handed) converterButton (t1220)SB (t1260)BB (t1645)UTG (t1730)UTG+1 (t905)Hero (t675)MP1 (t1220)MP2 (t315)MP3 (t725)CO (t1105)Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with [Ks], [Ad]. 1 fold, UTG+1 calls.Flop: (7.50 SB, t375) [Td], [Qh], [As] (2 players)UTG+1 bets, UTG+1 calls.Turn: (5.75 BB, t575) [Ah] (2 players)UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 calls.River: (7.75 BB, t775) [Js] (2 players)UTG+1 bets, UTG+1 calls.Final Pot: 13 BB (t1300)

  8. KQoThis is a typical problem hand for me, and this is an example hand of why:I get it in the CO, folds around to me. I choose to limp, as I still do not feel it's THAT strong of a hand. Tell me if this is a good idea or not? Suited I would raise with, but not unsuited. Is that a problem?anyway..... folds to the BB, who raises. I call.Flop is Kxx rainbow. He bets, I raise, he 3-bets. This tells me he either has one of three things: a set, AK or KQ too. I decide I will call him down the rest of the hand. Should I be doing this, or should I be folding after the 3 bet on the flop?I get myself in trouble with this hand alot, and I really want to hear lots of opinions on this because I know in alot of instances, KQ isn't THAT bad of a hand...
