  1. Yeah...and when he talks to you with his lisp....it makes you crap your pants....... Yes, he definitely has a Mike Tyson sort of thing going.
  2. Yes, I'm guessing that if he was playing Nam's brother Tuan instead, this wouldn't be an issue.
  3. Oh yeah? Well...umm...I bet people steal your blinds!Pay attention to me.
  4. That's not what I meant. They are playing NO LIMIT hold 'em. So how can there be a limit as to how much they can lose on any given hand? did you mean LIMIT hold 'em?You really need to think more.
  5. Actually I watch him on Pstars, where he plays with extreme aggression. And also, in tourneys when you look at his huge stacks of chips, he has those mostly from stealing blinds and small pots.I'm getting confused, are you saying that his aggressiveness and looseness ratings are too low?
  6. Around 95 percent of the hands.
  7. Agreed. Although, I think that if Barry didn't think these ratings could be added together to rank the players overall skill, he would have clearly stated that before posting them for the public.Oh wait..."I don't think you can add up the ratings in the skill categories to get an accurate comparison of players. Some factors should be weighted more heavily than others. Also, some factors are correlated, e.g., Steam control and Side games"^Taken from the player analysis page of Greenstein's website.
  8. I've only been in Denmark once so I may be wrong, but technically he could be playing pstars from over there. I vaguely remember that they have electricity and all and they might have internet (assumption only) so not sure if your response contributes to the issue at all of whether gus is around or notI only read the original post once so I may be wrong, but technically Brian could have been responding to the OP's statement about Gus playing low limit online.
  9. Do you think Antonio's chip stack might be important in this situation?? This post is sooooo 1.4
  10. You're so confident in this point that I almost believed you knew what you were talking about.
  11. But a respected tournament pro has a business associate who says otherwise. Who should be believed!?!?! Plus, I've been killing 300/600 limit games for a couple years now, and my bowl of frosted flakes says that it knows a spoon that heard Daniel is broke and somehow owes Doyle the state of Texas. Play within your means Daniel!
  12. I can't be the only one who got hungry after reading this.
  13. If I had been four-tabling non-stop for several days I wouldn't be chatting very much.
  14. Don't you think this is sort of flawed logic? To be technical, nothing happened from 1941-12-7 (Pearl Harbor) until 2001-9-11. That's a shade shy of 60 years before the department of Homeland Security graced us with its presence. To say that Homeland Security has kept us safe for the past 3 years and change since the attacks is making a huge leap of faith. It would be similar to me saying that me regularly mowing my lawn has prevented my house from being hit by a tornado. It's obviously working because my house hasn't been hit by a tornado yet.i swear people in this country are just looki
  15. Yes, agreed. Great line about TJ Cloutier's loins, but i can't remember the wording well enough to do it justice.
  16. I would never question Barry's arrogance, as it's clear that he is off the charts in that department. But it does seem logical that if some of the tournament specialists could beat the big game consistently, that it would be worth it for them to do so. The impression I get is that the big game is a step up from the tournaments, and while I know it isn't that simple, it does seem to follow that the best of the best would be the ones who beat the big game.
  17. I don't think your NFL analogy is totally accurate. The 5 players that Barry listed are all bracelet winners and, from the little information that I know, are all very successful tournament players. In other words, they are very good QB's and LB's. This is why I tend to believe Barry when he says that the players beating the biggest cash games in the world are the best players in the world. The biggest cash games in the world are where the most money is at risk, and therefore attract the best players and the richest players. So, if you consistently beat the players that are in those games, you
  18. Forget playing $4k/8k, the real question is when did jen and daniel get married!?!?!
  19. I bolded the portions that have been overrun by irrelevant cliche's and broad, misinformed generalizations."Money is money."Surely you jest."And although I am still a humble student of masters like Brunson and Chan, I find a lot of these new rich players to be calling stations, you never know what they have unless its a live game or they have a really obvious betting pattern."I blame this sentence for causing my response to the entire post. It's author appears to have been so busy trying to make himself sound intelligent, that he forgot to make sense."Three, every players dream is to win a bra
  20. he is, Did you see the dude playing golf for hundreds of thousands of dollars a hole, and he'd never played golf before in his life.and ummm... he frequents the craps tables and places ridiculous bets when most people who gamble would know that craps is just like throwing money away because there is no real advantage in it...I'm sorry, but phil ivey is a degenerate gambler... he will end up as one of those guys who stops playing poker as well.. but doesn't stop spending as frivelously as he does now... so he'll lose everything,I'm pretty sure you have to diminish in skill or become in some wa
  21. i know what you mean some people don't seem to know how to express their ideas most clearly especially college who are too stupid to know about anything because they are dumb they don't know anything except beer how do you expect them to write in paragraph form it's just crazy.
  22. Oh, I was getting the misguided perception that you were one of those people who look for any excuse to point out that they are M.D.'s.
  23. OK, give one good reason as to why he wasn't on there last year then. He is so much better than several of the players there last year. And he has several bracelets (too lazy to look it up, but I think he had 3 in one year).Uhhhh, because you can't remember the tournament?
