Sorry not being mean...butIf you all think that everyone is going to show up at the same card room in Ontario and play at the same time... well I'd like to know what room has that kind of flexability

Like Coom'un!If enough FCP member live within an hours drive of each other...why give up a rake or a seat rental. Lets get a under ground game together and play for our own money!

His chances of taking dead money would be better. I agree with your point that more players will take home more than their buy in.... But the chances of Big Name Pros making a solid living with Tourney play is slim.

Okay I'll bite!Wow, You can doooo it!Go on and go pro. Wait....let me ask my Mom....Okay she says you can go pro.Glad to hear that you have decided that you should take care of your physical health because you decided to play Poker as a living. I have always recomended that non-players eat pig fat and smoke road tar. But here is the most important info I can offer... If you decide to go Pro.... keep it to yourself and just do it. Maybe one day I'll be postig on your website

I see your logic... But it is wrong. Yes more dead money is introduced into the tourneys, but that does not equal better odds. It just increases the cash winnings. Aand increases the amount of coin flips one has to win

Okay, here is my opinion. It is really, really hard these days to make a living playing Tourney Poker. Too many people playing in the contest. It is hard to consitantly play solid Poker...win coin flips.. and still make final tables. Gone are the days of 300 players in WOSP when Unger was the champ. 6000 plus is too hard for the best to beat the Odds. Moneymaker and Raymer have proven this.

Couldn't tell for sure. But I emailed Barry Greenstein and he told me that the change was what he let Danny "Legs" keep after he handed him his ass. He also told me that the Canadian 20's was a gift given for the best BJ Barry ever got. -
My GOD. I know I said last post... but this is too good to pass up.1) No hot chicks in Idaho except Mrs. Potato Head and she is taken.2) No clubs in Idaho except the "Gopher Hunters Of America"3) And most important. If my coments turned you off of hot chicks...You need more Viagra

Okay! Here it is. I can't believe how many of you keep calling me DC, but keep posting. It just gets easier and easier. You have been Had.I have been just posting contrary for the sport, but you all keep going for it.Jesus Christ, think about it! I have alreasy given my reasons for sitting here on a Saturday posting crap. But the rest of you keep posting like we are debating future African policy towards A.I.D.S. I can't fathom how so many Poker Pros have so much time on a Saturday night when they could be playing in the "Big Game" or spending their money on some hot chick in a club.I know in t

You posted in the first place. Don't put any Poker winnings toward your tuition and they won't know about it... problem solved. Or, grind enough so that you can pay your own way and be a MAN and not rely on your parents or cyber strangers. Playing Poker is not the Drug Biz. First, you are not going to go to jail if you play (providing you play in legal rooms). Second, if you feel that Poker is as shady as the Drug Biz -or your Parents do and you feel that you have to live up to Mom's" standards...don't play. Keep Mom happy. What I mean by this is if things are working for you playing Poker, wh

I KNOW THAT HE IS NOT ASKING ABOUT TURNING PRO - atleats overtly- 'i don't plan on becoming a professional poker player (though where life takes me no one knows)"What I am saying is THIS!!!! If things are going so well in any given task. One nedds not explain it to people. Some how I think his parents opinion would change when he is living well without help from them And if he was living well without help from them he would not need his parents "okay" and he would not need to seek it from cyber strangers

Okay here it is.Oh and by the way! thank you for the interest! No book smarting is not part of my learning here in the Big hills of Canada. We prefer our books on 8-track. If I have failed to "meat" your standerds of "gramer" and spelling it might be because our Beer is a little more "MANLY" then the American girl piss that your drink and I am drunk. As to my being on strike FU. You know not of what you speak. As to what I am saying about the original post. One needs no advice to prove to one that they are suited for a task -other then big returns. If that is not enough....Who cares you are mak

I am amazed that all our lives suck so much that we are posting on a stupid fourm on a Saturday night instead of earning on a table. I have an excuse. I am on strike and have no money to play with. What's yours?

Sorry for speaking the truth. Wouldn't want the boy to do something with his life that is productive.Sure some persons are geared to make big money playing Poker for living. However, the majority of players are bound to be casual and even big hopes won't change this. Just look at all the prospective college pros in sport whom ignore their studies because they think that the big time is around the cornor. Most of whom become Car Salesmen trading on past glory. So F Off and read between the lines!

You are right! I forgot about the time when DN asked me if he should go pro and I said yes. DC

Blah, Blah, Blah.I got so board with your post that I had to stop half way in. If you are looking for total strangers to encourage you to play poker for a living forget about any constructive advice from players who are not looking to take your BR. Your parents are right. Don't play Poker for a living. If you are good enough to play for a living you would not need to ask advice from total strangers on the mater. I think that you will find most players who make a living doing it kind of just progressed into it. It went from being a casual thing where extra money was made to a living when they c
