Let me preface this by saying I'm not a heads up expert by any stretch of the imagination. I'm more of a ring game player. So I watched DN and AlltheWomen play heads up 500/1000 for quite awhile the other night and noticed a somewhat strange (at least it seemed strange to me) phenomenon. A buddy of mine and I were discussing it, but I wanted to get the thoughts of others on it. The game was ultra aggressive, obviously. But we noticed what we both thought was an excessive amount of three betting the flop and turn and then folding to a single river bet. My take on this was that perhaps the f

I'm a reasonably successul online player (5-10 full table and shorthanded) and I'm taking a trip to Vegas next weekend. We're staying at Bellagio and will likely play most of our cards there. Just wondering if anyone had any valuable insights on how the games are at various limits there. Which limits are softest? Are the games wild? Aggressive? Should we look at playing somewhere else? If so, where? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Also, 15-30 with 10 big bets in your bankroll? You got more balls than me man.

If you can't learn discipline, you'll never be successful long term. You shouldn't be busting out due to bad play. That means that you probably both lack discipline and aren't practicing good bankroll management. If you want to get yourself to the point of playing good enough cards to play higher limits and make real cash, I suggest putting $50 in and playing micro-limits for about a month. If you can tolerate that and keep your play sharp, you'll have learned how to be disciplined. Then you can throw some real cash in and hope for success.

1. $3002. Online, cash games (except 1 final table in a MTT), I use Party as my home base, but have been bonus whoring so I've been on about 5 different sites this month. If you want to pull down some quick cash, that's a good way to do it. Check out www.pokersourceonline.com. And if ya feel like it tell 'em NDIrishdogg sent you.3. Online 1-2, 2-4, limit, but be forewarned that this is bad bankroll management. I just decided to take a stab to get a roll faster because I could afford to lose the $300. Now I play 5-10 limit and have about 400 bb in my bankroll. 300 is the minimum for ba

Never ever ever use instacash. The service fee is absolutely ridiculous. Credit card if I absolutely can't wait. Otherwise, EFT. -
One year to clear the bonus.

Pocket sevens. In the cutoff shorthanded, I banged it for three times the big blind. Button cold called, big blind called. Flop came As7d7s. Big blind bets the pot. I call hoping to keep the button in the hand for another round. Thankfully the button calls. Turn brings a 9s. Big blind bets out the pot again which was about half of his stack. I decide another call is in order thinking that maybe the button was drawing to the flush. Sure enough, the button player raises all-in (he was the shortest stacked of the three of us). Big blind re-raises all in. I had him covered (though jus -
Have yet to learn to control the rage after three years. Probably happens once a week. It's a function of knowing too many of the odds. When they come in rapid succession, it just boggles my mind. I get the whole world is against me mentality. Doesn't put me on tilt, but it's definately a leak in my mental game.Oh yeah, and I broke a knuckle punching a mortar block wall in college after a particularly bad beat.

Beal says he currently has no intention of releasing the tapes. Why not enter into a conditional contract, whereby Beal controls the release of the tapes, but if he chooses to cut and release them, the proceeds are split 50/50? Seems like it would alleviate a lot of the concerns about profits from the taping and give Beal the ego protection he needs.
