  2. eddie... you could have avoided it all by folding AQ preflop. There is no reason to get involved in a flop with a shitty hand like that.
  3. really loose table and sensed weakness on the button. Im tryin to pick up every bet that i can without much risk. i took a stab at the blinds with my 5 6 and hit a great flop. Normally i would hesitate calling all my chips with bottom 2 with draws out there like that, but i was nearly certain i had my player crushed, and i was right. he moved in with a gutshot and a 9 high flush draw and the rest is fcked up history

  5. im pretty sure 6,600 is the number. They are capping it for sure.
  6. Scott, where do you get the imformation that Hellmuth isnt one of the top players in the world?Seriously... he is definately top 10 tournament players in the world and anyone who disagrees is just simply wrong.
  7. Although AK suited is a tough hand to get away from, especially preflop, i dont think the call is as black and white as people have made it to be thus far. I think massholes point about risking half his stack he worked hard for may have some good reason behind it. I ask myself, what would a professional do in this spot.... and i think that most would call. If you win this coin flip (which you have to do to win tournaments) you will be a dominating prescense at the table and will be able to pick up many free blinds helping you go on to win Raymer style. Id say if the other dude had more than 5
  8. Ive been on Absolute for 2 or 3 years now and i genuinely think its one of the best sites out there. The tournament structure is very fair and they offer Sit and gos from 50 cents to 200 dollars. Granted it is a smaller site, but ifyou like 50 to 200 person tournaments this will be great for you. As for cash games, you will never have any trouble finding action at any limit or no-limit ring game. Not only wont you have trouble finding action, you wont have trouble winning either. Give AP a try, i dont think you will be dissapointed.
  9. I really think im going insane. This is by far the most rediculous post yet. Just call with the third best hand in poker and hope he doesnt have the AA or KK. Its not even a second guess really. You MIGHT be racing at worst. chances are you have him crushed.
  10. So if am counting right, five full houses were made (including yours)? Also, neither the pocket sevens, queens or tens raised pre-flop? I also don't understand the logic of "he is good enough to know that raising will not thin the field much but I could tell he wanted to do something but couldn't." How does this make someone "good"? Wanting their pocket pair to be up against so many drawing hands? Why couldnt he raise?one more thing.... with the board of 44Q.... TT and 77 called 2 or 3 bets on the flop? and then TT called a capped round with the board 44Q7? that just doesnt make sense
  11. Keep in mind. Kings represents the second best hand in poker. When you are playing a 10,000 dollar buy in and want to protect your tournament life, you might fold kings with a few other people all in. YOU ARE IN A 10 dollar tournament for gods sake...with all the screwballs online, he prolly reraised with a pair of 8s or something. Hold on to those kings brotha, if you run into aces, thats just bad luck and you are out 10 bucks
  12. I believe that mid pocket pair play is one of the most essential skills to master in NL. Because of the fact that a set is one of the most difficult hands to put a person on without doubt, they can lead to some of your most profitable scores. Thus try to see a flop whenever possible, and if its one of those 7 1/2 times you hit your set on the flop, make sure you value bet and protect your hand.
  13. Daniel, suited connectors are your thing, they never let you down... at least i've never seen them let you down. HOW DID YOU FOLD THOSE GEMS??
