  1. Do you have some type of vendetta with Annie Duke? I think you asked a similar question a few months back and a lot of people voted for Evelyn Ng. And you tried to explain that away. So you narrowed the question to Harmen and Duke. Why do care what we think? In the end it doesn't mean a hill of beans. Why not find out for real. Offer them a freeroll. Put up 250k and may the best player win.
  2. So what. It's TV.I wouldn't put it past them but their objective is entertainment. In fact, if you think about it, they're just like poker players. They lie too.
  3. When the flop comes J J 3 and some genius says. I folded J 3. Really? How could you throw away such a premium hand and under the gun no less?
  4. Great question.I'd have to say Howard Lederer. There are two examples where I really enjoy his commentary. The first was the Championship at the Plaza (I think that's it but I could be wrong) I especially enjoyed his comments when DN went heads up against Freddie Deeb. The second was the U.S. Championships at Turning Stone. IVEY v DAGOSTINO He really breaks it down. And doesn't dummy down his comments. He talks like he's talking to someone who knows and understands the game.I can't stand Norman Chad - he thinks he's funny. Unfortunately, he's not.
  5. Most of the pros are nice. But isn't that the case in life? People be they famous or not are cool as long as you treat them with respect. (unless you live in NYC) Of course there are times when you're going to meet someone and they aren't going to be "cool" or they are going to be a real "jerk" But they might be having a bad day. It happens from time to time. Remember until recently these people lived normal lives. No one knew who they were. And now they are getting crushed with attention. A pro might be nice to 99 people and rude to just one persona and it's that one person who tells everyon
  6. I was just looking over the final "9" and I think that DN made a poor choice. I think Jeffgen's logo should have won hands down for a number of reasons.First, there was an actual concept behind his logo. However simple it conveyed a clear visual message. Second, I know this is a technical thing but I think Jeff was the only one who produced his logo in both color and black and white. It seems like a minor point but one of the truest tests of a good logo is if it works both in color AND in black and white. Third, Jeff's logo is very scaleable. I don't think Chadwick's logo works nearly as well
  7. Quite honestly, I don't feel the pros are taking whole Poker Superstars thing too seriously. Remember when Chau Giang was the big stack and he went all in with 87 in early position? The blinds weren't even that high compared to his stack.I’ve got to disagree with you on this point. I believe the winner gets 1.4 million dollars. That’s a lot of cabbage. If you saw how Todd Bruson reacted to the dealer’s miscue when he was heads up with Carlos Mortenson, I think you'd agree they care. As for the Chau Giang hand, remember we have the luxury of seeing their hole cards. So what you might think as a

  9. While I agree Al Micheals is not the best announcer his mircle on ice call was the best call of my lifetime. It was during a time when people didn't try to make history. Best ever - Vin Scully Phil Liggett (cycling commentator)Worst ever - Magic Johnson Joe Nameth
  10. While I agree you’re not going to lose half the time heads up with aces - my point was that just because you have aces doesn’t guarantee a win even against the worst possible starting hand.
  11. A coin means that you’re going lose half the time. Remember AA is the best STARTING hand. It’s not the best two cards but the best five. So lets say you have AA and you go all-in and someone calls. They flip over 72 of diamonds. The flop comes k 5 9 all diamonds. Nest two cards are blank, blank. You just lost to a flush. Thanks for playing see ya next year. Also on another point, I respectfully disagree. A lot of people (at least those who have confidence in their game) would not try to double up on the first hand before the flop.
  12. You fold.Just kidding. But you can't be serious. Why would you go all-in on the very first hand?Chances are you'll just win the blinds. Oh boy! That's just bad poker. I'd raise maybe 5 times the big blind. That's the problem with a lot of Internet players they want to win it alll in one hand. It's all about portion control. You want to maximize your profit. The goal is to extract the most from your opponent. Going all-in especially on the first hand will most likely have the opposite effect. Just my opinion.
  13. Let's wait to hear what DN has to say.Pretty simple really.Since it's his site, his pool and his money whatever he wants I'm fine with.I don't post a lot. I like reading Daniel's blog. That's why I come to the site.I post sometimes, but honestly most of the threads are pretty boring. I could write LMAO or other trite sayings to get my "post count" up but I could care less how many posts I actually have.. I agree that if you just joined to enter the pool that's not fair. But that being said someone who has 10, 20 or 50 post should not be penalized either.Someone might have 200 posts and they a
  14. Hey Daniel,Will STACKED be available for the XBOX 360?
  15. Take 2 months off. You sound pretty shredded. If you get away from the game, when you come back you'll look at the game differently. You'll pay attention more and you might plug some holes in your game.Remember it's not the best two cards but the best five. Enjoy the summer. Get outside instead of sitting in front of a computer all day.One word: Bikinis
  16. I would not be interested in a fullcontact shirt. Not my speed. But if you really want to do it, the first place I would go is http://www.zazzle.com/You design the shirt upload the design and then they send you the shirt. You can do a one off so you don't have to have a run of like 500 shirts or anything like that. If anyone decides to do this, please make sure to get permission from daniel. I am sure he has fullcontactpoker copywrited - it's only fair to get his ok on any design. This is from their FAQIf I design something, do I have to contribute it?You are more than welcome just to experime
  17. A light blue bunny suit. NOT pink. I can't tell you how many times someone in a pink suit has saddled up to the table. It's like here comes easy money. But when a light blue one shows up it's time to call it a night. Also, A baseball cap, sunglasses, t-shirt, blue jeans, sneakers sends the message don't mess with me, I'm one of a kind.
  18. The Harvard of the West. The University of Arizona.
  19. Evelyn Ng.To illustrate my point check out the player profiles on http://www.planetstacked.com/stacked/pros/Compared to the others, Hers is pretty weak. I'm sure she is an excellent player but does not warrant the attention she gets. Is it because she's a woman? Extremely attractive? Or perhaps because she's gulp Canadian?Except for Ms Ng, I think I've seen all the other players at a final table on the WPT or WSOP. (sorry ladies events don't count)
