  1. wow, that is tough. Can you not put him on these?Ah, K, Qh, T. You are dead to a jack in that case.Ah, K, Qh, Q has you drawing dead.A, K, Q, T leaves you drawing to the jack(s) and the hearts. Ah, K, J, xh has you drawing for the fullhouse.I mean doesn't this bet sound like one of the above hands? Maybe he has the Ah, K with no flush, but bets the pot with current nuts and nut flush card. If he "likely" has any of the hands above then you really need to fold. What range did you put him on? AK?AK plus 2 pair?AK plus trips?Ah with K?AK with nut flush draw?Trips?K9 with nut flush draw?
  2. You can not raise that hand preflop from the big blind. If you want to raise with it you basically have to be on the button, but this hand isn't all that great. That being said, the flop hit you perfect. Your lead out was a little small - you hit this flop REALLY well and you want some others to stay around(so not bad in that case). The turn and river bets need to be bigger. Any non club 9, T, J, A is likely going to make someone elses straight, so make them pay for it. Plus you have all redraw outs if they hit on the turn. On the river you have the nuts and you don't know what the other
  3. your hand is super vunerable here. There are only 2 cards that you will really like on the turn - either King. But there are many cards that are nuetral that could come. I just call. If a 2,3, 9-A comes, I pot on the turn. Just remember that the 9 and T open a lot more straight possibilities for the river and if there is a second suit on the turn then a flush is likely to stay around. Potting this on the flop isn't what I like to do because you might be getting free-rolled and with two cards to come other draws still have time to catch up.
  4. this isn't the Omaha 8/b forum. try posting this over there.
  5. your points are logical. It makes sense that they would want to do that. Have they done it? I wouldn't see why not.
  6. I am sure this has been asked before, but I have never seen the answer. What is the rake on the 4,000-8,000 game? Or do they just pay for time? Or something else?
  7. awesome hands, its nice to get paid off with quads...For a similar story, 1 guy had quads 3 times in 6 hands at Ultimate bet playing PLO(last week) - the same guy paid him off each time(twice with a FH, the last time with aces up)... it was hard to believe - and I was playing in the game.
  8. My only saving grace - if I have one... is that I didn't see that I had flopped a straight. I have been sick for a few days, thought I was better, I guess not though. Had I potted maybe the others wouldn't have stayed in the hand and I might have won, I doubt that though. I played it bad, I agree. About not putting the last guy all in on 4th street, you are right, I need to raise there. But wont he fold anything that I beat and call anything that I lose to?

  10. He'd been donkish all day. He had no draw and tripped up his ace on the river. meh to thatYeah, you did nothing wrong, he hit a two outer. That's poker.
  11. your 2-1 favorite on the flop IF the guy flopped the straight, so there should be no problem with getting all your money in (at any time before the river) during this hand.
  12. three handed I don't mind this play. Of course if he has QQ you are toast, but the odds of that are obviously small. I love the checkraise on the flop, but his call either says trip queens or the AKT9 (or similar variation) with the diamond draw. I go broke here(middle set with OESD) when it is 3 handed, I play the hand the same way you did.
  13. yeah, fold preflop OOP.anyway, now that you're in this mess, flop pot is standard, unless you've got a nutjob who will always, and i mean always, pot it from late position. as for the turn, without any prior reads, i'd say set/flush draw are about equally likely, with the flush slightly more so. i'd put out a bet of about 1/2 pot (check/fold multiway, but this is heads up) and see what happens. just keep in mind that if the villain shows strength back at you, there's a good chance you're drawing dead.I guess I figured it was about 50/50 - since there was 7$ in the pot and the villian had 7 lef
  14. That is the thing I guess, I figured him for either 10 10, A 8(most likely) or even AA... I checked, he bet the pot, and I folded. Hhe said that he had A8 - I didn't see it though. Was I 66% sure - I think I was, which is why I folded.
  15. I call Q8 -- Kuwait, just because of how it sounds when you cut off the 'een' from Queen.
  16. Good job, keep it going. What is the payout like?
  17. betting the nuts, a good thing to do. Having a nut flush redraw, a nice thing to have. That is the right way to play it in my book.
  18. that is very wrecklace and doesn't normally work in Omaha, especially at that level.
  19. So you are saying that no matter what the next card in I have to take my remaining 17 dollars into a pot that I have put 6 into already? The turn came an Ace. What is my move? Can I not 'safely' assume that he had the A8 combo?
  20. I have been trying to work on my hand selection - and you will see why. I think it's working so far, playing much more solid, but I got in trouble here.I potted it, got one caller. Turn came 7d - made flush possibility. Is it a check/autofold here? I guess why I am wondering is - can I assume that he either has top set or nut flush draw(50/50)? Or is flush draw more likely. I know both are possible too - top set with nut flush draw(or weaker flush draw).
  21. you don't wait for the check raise(because of flush draw bet) or wait for 4th street brick to hit?
