  1. I would also say that the potential for real life distractions negatively affecting the player's game is higher at night than during the day, especially if they have a family that would otherwise be out of the house at work or school.

  3. I agree with the sentiment thus far. There really isn't a lot of wiggle room in this hand. You plays your cards you takes your chances. End of story. Most of the time you will win wih this hand, some of the time you wont. At least it was over quickly for you.DD (http://pokertimes.blogspot.com)
  4. Thanks for the wisdom. That does illustrate a key difference between the two games and is probably a big part of why I've been going broke early in the SNGs lately. Too many calls where I am only a slight favorite.DD
  5. Does anyone else out there find it hard to make this switch? I play mostly online but I think this would hold true in live games too. When I started out playing online I concentrated almost solely on SNG's and I did quite well. I played anywhere from 20+2 to 50+5 and I seemed to be able to beat them all often enough to make a nice profit. Then I realized that while SNG's were profitable, I would need to learn how to grind it out in the ring games if I wanted to start making consistent profits. I learned how to beat the micro limit ring games and have moved up to the bottom rung of the mac
