  1. Well, my uncle when he first came into this country and barely spoke a word of English, applied for his first job at a McDonald's. On the application where it says "Position preferred", he wrote "Sitting down".
  2. Surprised that no haseven mentioned how even Jerry Buss(sp?) pwned Phil Helmuth. Phil raises, Jerry calls, then Jerry takes command on the flop. I think that was actually my favorite part. The only time Jerry made any aggressive moves was when he actually had a hand. Granted, he was on the nut flush draw, but it was still classic.
  3. It is the nuts when the 3 players are all in on the flop and all cards are flipped.
  4. Thanks for the advice guys. I wound up folding. These were the hands:Shortstack-99SB-KQ offMy pocket 10s would've held up and I would've knocked both out. As you can tell, I folded.I felt that I didn't want to go heads up shorstacked against the SB guy or get knocked down to 3rd place. So I went with caution. We wound up basically chopping, but we played it out and I lost, but either way I was happy with the outcome. Trust me, I did NOT want to lay the 10s down, I wanted to win the whole thing, but I felt that I had the best chance by laying it down next time.Who knows, I'm pretty sure ther
  5. Here's my thought process on this situation, it's funny, because normally I think it's an easy call (just a click of a button), but I told myself that I would think out every stuation in this lie tournament, so it wasn't just a click of a button.Anyway, here were my thoughts:1. I call and can knock out both guys and win the whole thing.2. If I call and I lose to the guy currently in 2nd and knock out the low chip stack then I would be going heads up with only about 50,000 and the leader with 210,000.3. I fold and would be about even if 2nd place takes out the low chip stack and either way I wi
  6. Payouts:1st-$10002nd-$8003rd-$450
  7. Ok, here's the situation.I'm chip leader with 140,0002nd has 90,0003rd has 30,000Blinds are 4,000/8,0003 handed. This is a tournament I'm BB. UTG goes all in (shortstack), then SB (2nd place) goes all in. I look at my cards and I have pocket 10s. Should I call or fold?
  8. If the stipulation was "no water", why not just drink some pop?
  9. That's my main problem with Virtual PC, it slows the comp down. I'm just happy knowing that I can use my Mac for playing. Macs are so much friendly user, less spyware and viruses to worry about.
  10. Just got an email saying that Full Tilt is now available for the Mac. Not sure if this has been posted, just an fyi.
  11. Don't know if that scene was in an Alfred Hitchcock movie, but it was in a movie helped directed by Quentin Tarnatino called "4 Rooms"
  12. I know this is kind of late, after the fact. But knowing that he's the type of player that would've gone all in on the flop I would've called in that situation. Sometimes you gotta go with your read and say "Fock it!"
  13. I'm thinking it was either a physical teel or betting tell. If it's a 2/5 game I probably would've raised it to about $30. What position were you in (EP, MP or LP)? I think if you're planning to bet the turn then you probably should've jammed the pot on the flop.Just my opinion.
  14. Just looking around and there's a crapload of new features (menu items). Just like a real poker site. :dance:Plus there are no more error messages when posting/replying.
  15. Yeah, I really like the look and design of the front page.+EV
  16. Tried some Absinthe for the first time. Tastes like black licorice, but dang does it have some kick!!
  17. I think one of the best tells that I've seen is the betting. It's almost the same as online, when a guy usually has a strong hand they bet it strong, when they are afraid of a card or tentative their next bet is not as strong. Of course, this tell is only common against not really good players, but ok players.I think I remember Lederer mention how that online poker tell bodes well in live games as well. Or something like that.
  18. I totally agree with this comment. He freakin check raised you!! From then and on anytime I play with him at a cash table I will try to outplay him no matter what. If you guys had somewhat of an agreement beforehand, that checkraise would've certainly pissed me off. Did you guys drive together? If so who's driving? If it's me, I'm leaving his punk-azz there.
  19. Well, this minimum raise crap b4 the flop has become quite popular. I've learned to adapt to it. As in this case, I've seen plenty of players min. raise with AA or the like and it's quite possible that he's minimum raising with an overpair here. Basically, I really push the betting here on the flop and more than likely I'm all in if he's gonna reraise me. If he has trips then there's nothing you can do. But I think he's overvaluing his pair if that's the case. It's also quite possible he has a flush draw too with an Ace. I've also seen alot of players minimum raise with Ax suited. Either
  20. Full Tilt invitational live from MonacoWhere was this shown? TV or internet? What channel?I wanna see!!!it was on fox sports, im sure they will reair it...they also showed the negreanu/lederer heads up match that they had back in julyI didn't get to see that. Here in Chicago they went straight to their regularly scheduled programs. Who won that anyway?
  21. What about that semi-suckout Ivey had to catch the straight? I knew FTP was rigged.
  22. Sorry, I'm not going to be able to make it out today guys. Something came up...my lunch.
  23. I would've also checked the river there. As for your turn bet, depending on stack sizes and how much was in the pot, I would've either bet the pot or put him all in for the rest of his chips on the turn.
