  1. Phil Gafond posted a really good line on 2+2 about these kind of spots. He advocated a check/call and lead/fold blank turns. That way you get a Cbet in, improve for cheap if you're behind and you're not allowing a free card on the turn if he has two overs. What happens if Q-A pop on the turn? 3bet preflop to 115 and this hand plays easier and differently. I really don't like your lead/call. Kept saying in my head, he can only call a 3-bet if he's got you beat, so I think I out thought myself here. with the way he was playing, I guess I have to be ok with running into a big hand here. If his
  2. Yeah it was... Hand was in the subtitle and forgot to include it. I couldn't see calling and then folding river unless another draw got there. Felt weird on this one and pushed in (a little frustration here). Villian showed j 9 which I really didn't see. My read was that he was weak tight at this piont. Later I kinda just pegged him as weak stuck. Hated this hand and really knew I should have folded.
  3. I feel like I should have bet the turn here. My thinking in the hand was that he was capable of c/r bluffing here and even though I could be ahead often, I really didn't think I had the stomach to make a call. I really hate the check though.
  4. Only reason I asked. It's close and I call if he turns the nut flush up I call, but does he have 77 here enough to fold. I guess it's thin either way so it really doesn't matter?
  5. To just try to end the hand since I feel like I'm ahead a lot but facing more bets on the turn and probably never being able to call river UI Nothing on this one cause I think this hand is awful. I think I'm ahead of his range often and his calling range is pretty wide. I could see him call with AJ+ and KQ and any pair higher than 5's

  7. Are any of these ever a good idea? I'm in 8 seat and 6 seat has been accumulating fighting chips. Raising greater than 60% of hands. He's not awful. He's made a couple pretty good calls with top pair no kicker, but also a number of bad calls with top pair top kicker. He's reraised 200% of flop donk bets into his raised pots. (Great if I could ever flop a set). Hand 1: Stack $500Raise from vilian UTG+1 to $25, I call with 6 8 suited. 10. 1) Varies highly on opponents and Shed vs. FR. First instinct will be to always raise here, for obvious reasons, equity drops at the turn, blah blah. However, in aggressive games that you're calling thin, I think you have to call with these big draws (as well as big made hands) in order to disugise you're bluff catching calls w/ 910 here. Consider that even if you brick the turn and villian pots the turn, you still have straight pot odds to call for the river without consideration of pot odds. So you don't have to worry about getting priced out.2) I'm more prone to raise with 5 7 just beca
  11. Anything about the bet sizing in your opinion? The repop is light and the turn bet is super light, almost as if he's just trying to avoid having to put a lot of money into a pot he's going to fold to a re-raise. But if he has a history of betting strong hands like this, then maybe you can c/c flop and turn and fold the river. I don't think I ever c/c this river (regardless of whether the nine hit) against a tighty who's not going to ever bet the river with a worse hand. I think you're either C/Cing or C/fing based on how absurdly tight the guy actually is. If he's tight passive like you
  12. preflop is ok. Fold the flop though.
  13. Gross. Thoughts behind not reraising him at the flop or C/Ring the turn? Did we really see 57 the whole way here? I probably bet the river as well. here.
  14. If he's playing back at you, raise air, strong hands, and strong draws. Don't reraise with a hand that has strong, but still marginal value. I really hate the C/R because of the history.
  15. The presence of the heart makes pushing better for me as opposed to calling and calling the river. I'm ok with calling the flop. A lot of times a strong bet the pot into a preflop raiser in this spot is going to turn out to be a 3-bet back to you that you're usually folding. Atleast by calling, you've manipulated a situation where you can get them in better against a super draw. I'd say if the heart rolled off on the turn, you could call behind one street and fold the river. if he bet again.
  16. Some times I feel like a nit, some times I feel like a station, but I always have a hard time understanding why I'm way off a thread of 20 people saying something drastically different than what I think. Why would we ever consider c/cing two streets here when OP doesn't say he's a crazy maniac bluffer. When he calls the flop, he's got some pair much more times than he's floating with AQ+. He's keeping us honest just so that he doesn't give up this hand so easily if we're semi-bluffing, or he has a really strong pair and didn't want to raise into a jack or draw that was going to rep the jack.
  17. You have so many more small pairs that are happy to get to showdown here.
  18. Tran. I'd hate to be at Kahn's table, but I'll admit that I enjoy watching him on TV. Tran is just an *******
  19. Your range doesn't have a ton of air and air is the only thing that needs to bet the river. This is awful spewing against anything but the most retarded of players.
  20. Yeah, i didn't really know much about him until this wsop, but what a huge horse's ass. If i were at the table on the hand he got busted, i don't think i could stop from laughing at the sick call he made when he beat absolutely nothing.
  21. Agree with no. Neck. You're going to find a jack here a lot.
