Sign up for FT through CardRunners, get rakeback and get HEM for free. Its at least as good and probably better that PT. You should be smart enough to figure out how to re-sign up for FT if youre already a member.

What are his 3 bet stats (or history in button vs sb, bvb that youve observed)? With an effective M around 20 you can fold to the 3 bet if he's not a big 3 bettor.

If hes going to fold to a turn bet hes going to fold to a river bet also. You have no reason to slow play here against a competent player. -
You didnt disagree! Must be an Aussie English problem!

Dont be silly, thats not even close to what I said. This forum has been around forever, I cant believe it needs a basic starting hands chart for 6 max. -

QJ off oop is only going to get you in trouble. Its a clear fold. There is way too little respect for position in the posts Ive seen. -

This.Another 6 max thread where way too weak a hand is opened from EP. -
what is itt?

I dont know PLO that well, but it looks like a loose call PF, and I probably just shove the flop while youre probably still ahead. Youre going to get called by any A and most flush draws, but you'll lose the flush draws on the turn if a c doesnt hit. As played the stacks are too short to fold. Your hand is under-repped to a flush, and if a naked A outdrew you, thats poker.

The 80% fold to 3 bets/7% of all possible hands is very deceptive because of his huge VPIP. You really need to know his fold to 3 bet in position stat for monkey 3 betting to be automatically profitable OOP...it most likely isnt.Checking the flop looks extremely weak here, because you're saying you have a hand that isnt worth protecting against that very wet board, so youre playing mid-pairs and weakish Aces face up. When youre OOP against a super loose PF player, cbetting is almost mandatory except for balancing plays. Against a somewhat drier board not Cbetting might look suspicious and sl

I agree with KJ...A9s is not a call here. If the button is super fishy and your 150+ BB deep then it probably becomes callable. As far as checking the turn goes I dont like it. Not because of the risk of getting caught by a set, but because of the risk of a scare card on the river killing your market.Check raising the flop has a lot of merit. Any raise is pot commiting, so youre really check shoving 600 to win 740, needing 44% to break even. If Aces are winners you're there on hot and cold equity at basically a coin flip, and maybe you have a little fold equity. If aces arent winners then youv -
Against hero he's jamming around that...but its the BB who is more imporant here. If he has anything but a monster his best $EV play by far is to put BB all in, inviting you into the hand for a cooperation play if you have anything but a monster or garbage. He's got position on you and risking half his stack on a push with a medium strength hand is awful. He's never picking up both your money and the BB's money any other way than putting BB all in and playing poker against you.If hes at all decent then his shove screams monster to me.

why would a decent reg push here?

I dont know that "Standard" plays apply here. Its very player dependent and having a feel for why he's raising so much is critical. Without reads, youve got very little fold equity once he commits that much of his stack, so how does 99 play hot and cold against a real hand. I dont have stove on this computer, but id guess that youre right on the border vs 77+, AJ+. On the bubble against the big stack I wouldnt go any lower than 88 unless he's super aggro or cashing is totally meaningless to you, and then Id stretch it no lower than 66.

careful...different situations. R/f a lot was in the context of having a dominating stack and full ring. Even stacks and 6 max is a totally different game!
