  1. I believe I need to amend my first statement. I believe Tom stated he would call a raise if it was less then 1/7 of his stack. The other factors that everyone has stated makes sense if he where the first one to come in or if there is just a call.
  2. Question: I believe Tom McEvoy states that he will call with any pair in a No Limit Tournament as long as it doesn't cost more then 1/7 of his stack from any position. Do you agree with that? If not, what would you do different?
  3. >I hope you have come out of your slump and torn it up since. >JackTheCat Oh yes, that was a couple of years ago. However, it seems I tend to remember the really bad beats or long losing streaks a lot more then the strong winning sessions or the bad beats I've put on people. Human nature I guess.
  4. Yes, thank you Daniel for sharing with us about your father. It sounds as if he was an amazing man, full of life and a love of his family. You where very fortunate to have such a close relationship with him. My own father was a work-alcoholic who never had time for us kids. A very kind and genrous man but raised to not show much affection. He died on a business trip at 63 just a few months before retirement. We weren't really close. Too bad.
  5. I can feel for you Jack. I was playing full time in Vegas between software engineering contracts. For 2 and 1/2 days playing a total of 32 hours (yes, that's way to much) the highest hand I had was a pair of 10's. I could live with that, you don't have to have great hands to win, but I couldn't get anything to hold up. Started at 20/40, dropped down to 15/30 and then 10/20. Total down for that time period was 1400.00. That's poker.
