  1. Just wondering if anyone here uses PNC bank and has made a deposit into Pokerstars.I have been with National City Bank forever and they got bought out by PNC. I have made deposits in the past with National City, but PNC is rejecting them. I contacted PNC and got this in return...

I understand you concerns, regarding using your check card for an onlinegambling company outside the U.S.. However, In accordance with thepolicy of the U.S. Justice Department, PNC declines the use of any PNCBank Check Card for offshore online/Internet gambling transactions.Websites that are outside of the United States are considered to beoffshore. We appreciate their business and apologize for anyinconvenience this policy may have caused. Please let us know if youhave any additional questions.
I guess my question is, Is there anyway around this or to fight it? Can I argue the fact that its not Gambling? If anyone has any information, it would be great. My only other option is Western Union which charges outrages fees.
  2. Had a quick question about hand equity. How do you know what your equity is after all the cards are out? Is there a method or shortcut in figuring it?For example:Hand: 4H - 2HBoard: 7D - KH - 9S - 2S - 4COpponents: 2 (Unknown Hands)Its saying I have a 18.9% equity. How on earth are they getting this number? Or even close. I was guessing 5% and I got it wrong.

  3. Hello everyone. Loving the forums here. Been reading for a while.I've been playing on PokerStars for a while, playing anything from .02 to .25 games. It just seems to me (and I may be wrong) that players just don't play correctly. Too much chasing / lack of strategy. Again, it could just be me. I was wondering where a good place to jump up to and not feel like i'm playing with children. I know I've heard Daniel talk about how different it is playing micro games. Would a good area to start playing be around the .50/$1 tables...Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Wstar
