  1. Hand A and Hand C are just bad beats. A is worse than C though. No biggies there.I can see where Hand B would be frustrating, if you are paying attention to RESULTS only. I mean, there all you have is A high on a nice looking board for someone in the BB. It only cost him 800 to see a flop, but with only about ~13 BBs I think it was not the greatest of call with K6, but turns out he got lucky and flopped an open-ender. He should be getting it in as fast as possible on the flop here. I am wondering if your PF play was not the best. I'm kinda thinking after 2 limpers and button's small raise, I'
  2. Ehh, It's Merge. They have some really weird Satties/Micro MTTs. One I played in was a .25 with rebuy/add-on. 2nd-9th place got an $11 Tourney Ticket (Unlike Stars, you have to use the $11 at one time. It is a Ticket, not T-Money). and 1st Place gets a $215 Tourney Ticket. One good example that I can remember is just got to FT. There was two walks, then 3rd hand guy in EP Shoves for 8BB. Smallest stack at table was 2BB, largest was 12BB. I had about 8BB as well, and I was HI-J or C/O with 77. I was really torn about what to do here. I think I was in 6th position at the time. With this goofy str
  3. After not playing much for 1 1/2 years, started back grinding again. I have been playing some small 180-220 person MTTs on Merge. Got to the FT several times recently, mostly small buy-ins for Satellite tickets, or small buy-ins in general. Been doing good remembering on on open-shoving/ ATC don't-give-up-any-walks, Stop-N-Gos, etc. but can't remember calling ranges. For Example:You are at the final table already ITM. Everyone at FT gets Same ticket (except for first) or small GTD or small Prize Pool and the difference between 9th and 3rd is only a couple of bucks. 8-9 players at the table. Eve
  4. I've never met the guy before, and I have only been hanging around here for a few years. I was a complete tard when I came here, but donk (Ian) has always been helpful to me. Just be glad this forum is almost dead. I can think of some major asses that use to post here but don't much anymore. In it's prime, someone could really get forum-flamed for talking shit here. That was the great entertainment days.
  5. Thanks! There were about 15 or so the past 2 weeks. Only been going for 2 weeks now, so I am sure it will grow some more. Come on and dive in!
  6. Thanks! Thanks!. So why did you want me to post the above hand? You said you had me with bottom pair, but didn't mention the club you had. I stole tbrickah's over shove 3 on board play from earlier. I figured I had you on top pair, but didntt want to take a chance of another club rolling off, and you winning with a 10 high club flush. Basically tried to put the heat back on you for a sec, since you got me figured out pretty well and like to push me around, which is fine. Gotta get knocked down a few times to learn and get better.
  7. WTF!?!?!?! My first ever FCP/NEG-O/Mini Poker Tour Win!!I need to go get some Mega Million tickets or something.Good Game Everyone!! Looking forward to next week!!

  9. IDK, but the fact he was on the BB, wouldn't that factor in here? I mean, alot of players at this level will flat the BB with any paint just to see a flop and see if they "hit it". As played, I would have snap-called, and if he happened to have KQ or hit a set of 5s or so, so be it. A little more history on the guy would have been nice, but with him coming in at 40BB, personally I would not give him much respect unless he had shown me otherwise in previuos hands. Just my thoughts.
  10. OP said he was aggressive, but in a reckless way? Personally, I might have 3-bet light here and would have folded to any shoves behind. Depending on the UTG previous play, either call his shove (he would have ~20% invested at this point) and hope for a flip (assuming he plays a little spewey/reckless) or fold (again, really depends on his past play and how he responds to 3-bets PF). If he flats PF then fires a 2/3 pot bet, then he is committed here, then decide to shove and flip for the OESD (pocket 10s just wouldn't hold here, so OESD would be only hope) or fold and just waste ~.36 on pocket
  11. I miss the Neg-Os more than not being able to play on Stars anymore. I think it would be great to get a USA Neg-O back going. Only problem for me is I have been super busy with work and side work that I have not had time/motivation to play in months, plus it just isn't the same anymore. :(If there ever is a Neg-O like the old days again, I may get motivated to start playing again. :mellow:BTW - I plan on signing up (I think that will make 4 accounts I will have on Merge), but just don't know when. Right now I've got the money but not the time, which I guess is better than having time but not t
  12. So, I was thinking about this, and trying to understand some more of the dynamics. Help me out here.1)Pre-Black Friday I could totally see this. #1 buying #2. Buy your biggest competitor, and have dominant market share. May tick some players off that hated PS and only played on FT, but if they were US Players, where else could they have gone? Basically no where. I understand that there were others Pre-BF, but game selection would have been terrible, just like it is now for US players. I don't play much anymore b/c I really don't want to wait 1 Hour + for a $5-$10 45 man SNG to load, let alone
  13. For some reason after reading this, I remembered ole "tuff fish". These videos still make me laugh.
  14. Poker Maximus on the bubble Event #60 $3 Rebuy. 1457 players. Bubble 150. This happened at the bubble:KK<AAOut at 147 for min-cash for the min-buy in/add-on. Wanted to puke. I was in top 50 just about the whole tourney. Would have been top 5, but guy caught a monster 2 hands in a row.Currently 16/24 in the 5000 player $200 freeroll. I get a purple ribbon! Whoo-Hoo!!
  15. Yeah, PF play to me was really different to what I am used to online at the micros. Not used to so many limpers and 5-6 handed pots. In 2 hours time, I don't think there was ever HU flop, and there was maybe 1-2 3 handed. Most flops were 5 handed. One guy was so tight, I only saw him call a limp once in 2 hours! Two orbits before, BB and another decent player got in a big pot were he stacked the guy for about $150 with K4hh. He called PF raise to $10. He did not play a lot of hands, but when he did they were premium hands/pairs. Flop was K4x rainbow, with the turn being a Q, and the river was 1
  16. Finally was able to make a road trip. Currently at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi. Decided to play live poker for the first time in about 4 years, and first time since actually learning the game. To me, it was way different than online. A lot of limping, slow playing weird 2-pairs, slow playing bigger hands, etc. The table was about $200-$300 deep. Half the table was pretty tight, the other half was full of calling station/limpers. I found out pretty quick that the limper/stations would check off 2 streets 3-5 handed, then after I would make a 2/3 pot size bet on the river on some decent boards, th

I had been at the table for about 15 mins. or so, and he had never tanked like that before, so I assumed he was not busy multi-tabling and did not have time. I tanked for a

  20. Great Statement IMO. People talk a big game these days, especially online, but carry the smallest of twigs. Well-versed in life. You've probably gained WAAAY more life experience than the guy who spent 4+ years in college then punches the clock at a corporate job for 20+ years. Living outside the box. I like it. (Can be a good and bad thing). That's why I don't understand why people knock the internet kids for moving out of the country to keep playing a game and are good enough/lucky enough to profit from it and not harm anyone. (Other than the gambling degens, but that will happen anywhere.)
  21. I wish I could be 20-something again. At least I have no kids, so life is not totally over.
  22. Personally, I don't think getting Daniel back here will bring the site back to "greatness". Actually, I came along here in 2010 and really enjoyed hanging out here and playing the Neg-Os with everyone, chatting, learning a ton, etc. Daniel never really posted then and only played a few Neg-Os in early 2011, which did increase the size of the game, but not much in traffic here. The one thing I liked about this site vs other forums (2p2 for example) is that it is a smaller site, and you could get to know people here and hang out as a group, unlike the monster 2p2 sites where there is so many peo
  23. Hand #1 I make the hero call and villain has Qc10c. In the moment, something just didn't seem right. I mean, the board was fairly dry, and villain was tight. BUT, if he was just going for the steal, a J in his range would have fit very well. Generally HU in these kind of situation with the nut flush draw or straight draw, I kinda like to call OOP, or bet/call OP. Try not to inflate the pot. Problem is that when it does hit it is pretty obvious. Some players will just keep on betting, and some will slow-up. Kinda a "dammed if you do and dammed if you don't"??Hand #2 I folded. Should have given
  24. Spot the error(s) that were made here:Hand #1Villain was pretty tight, and this seemed like an obvious steal attempt. I hit a home run draw, and his bet sizing/pattern seemed like he was repping big air, so that is why I just c/c the first two. Problem?? River gives me a small holding, but I still am feeling a pretty cool breeze here. 25. 22Good point. Just went along with the flop since I was in an EP and the flop was pretty dry. Trying to drag along a few folks in such a family pot. I see what you are saying about the turn bet. Kind made me look like a spaz on the river, in which I probably left some pennies on the table.Didn't go so well moving up to 4 tables FR tonight. Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. Too much going on, got ran over a few times, could not pay attention to the hands properly and made some really bad calls, caught some nice coolers, and couldn't win a flip for $hit. Nice experiment tho losin
