  1. http://www.truepoker.eu/poker-promotions/moss/ I've been playing an True for a few months now and their customer service is great. They offer 3 methods for cashing out and the longest only takes about 2 weeks. The take VISA for deposits, along with a couple of other methods. The tournament and cash fields are exceptionally soft. You can go through www.imawhale.com to sign up if you like. This is actually my backer but he is also a True/ACR affiliate and he offers a unique way to earn insurance on your account balance. Please let me know if you sign up through him so that I can let kno
  2. I can't even begin to tell you how stressful playing is when you have to make money at it. I didn't go "pro" on purpose, I lost my job and couldn't find another one. I was doing well online and early 2011 I was starting to do really well then Black Friday hit and it's been a major struggle. The game that you love and enjoy changes when you have to make a living at it. Don't get me wrong, I still love poker and I still enjoy playing but it's just not the same. I was no where good enough 2 years ago to try to play full time, I'm barely good enough now. Variance is awful and a 3 month downswi
  3. Looks like heaven to me, ofc look where I've been playing.
  4. According to Carbon Ryan it seems they're redoing some stuff with that cashier that should improve withdrawal options, let's hope this is true.
  5. Carbon is owned by Sportbook, Sportbook is Merge basically. Carbon is merging their poker client with CarbonSports.ag. CarbonSports has a new cashier which currently allows VISA deposits up to $1K along with WU and some other methods for US players, but no other skins are currently taking VISA and the other deposit methods aren't really a viable option either. Poker Maximus III promo is all under the Carbon website, the thread on 2p2 said Poker Maximus III PRESENTED BY CARBON POKER. This is totally different from PM I and PM II which had their own web pages with no skin mentioned. Peop
  6. As of Nov. 1 Merge skins will no longer have player to player transfers. You can read more here and there are also some links to 2p2. I don't think it's the end of the world as far as Merge goes, hopefully just some new management restructuring. From some stuff I've read it even seems temporary.
  7. Yes you are correct the original Reid bill did auto opt in states with B&M gambling, just not other states. I really think that this Reid/Kyl bill is nothing but a farce to do as you say, strengthen the UIEGA, rewrite the wire act and impose as many restrictions on the states concerning gambling as possible. It is just cloaked to appear to support legal and regulated online poker when what it really does is impose very restrictive conditions for online poker probably ruining any chance of us getting anything beatable or playable for that matter. I feel that the restrictions the bil
  8. I've copied this part about states opting in and/or out below. I seems pretty clear that the states have to rule on it one way or the other. Opting out doesn't seem automatic the way this bill is worded. Also the old Reid bill was an opt in not out bill it was the Barton bill that auto opted the states in. The only way it's automatic is if the state, such as Washington State has a specific law on their books prohibiting online poker specifically. Most states don't have any laws one way or the other so they will have to have a majority of a quorum to vote yes or no. Pretty sure most states will
  9. Am I reading this right? It sounds like all states will have to choose opt in or opt out, neither will just be automatic. That's actually not too bad if that's the case. With so much of the tax revenue from ipoker going to the states it will create a huge incentive for states to opt in. GA legislatures have been really pushing for gambling expansion in the state to save the HOPE scholarship and pre-K program so this my be an easy pass for states like GA who have overall been pushing for more gambling revenue. If they could just ignore it and be opted out that would most likely be the case in m
  10. Nothing to be scared about we all have a little gamble in us or we wouldn't be playing poker. As a player you're doing nothing illegal so other than risking a little money, which is what gambling is all about anyway, right, there is nothing to fear. I enjoy playing online, even now in this ridiculously tough environment. While I wish Black Friday had never happened I wouldn't be nearly as good of a player as I've become had I still been able to continue playing on Stars. The tougher fields and smaller payouts have made me work on my game much harder than I would have otherwise. Of cour
  11. If the Reid/Kyl bill passes it will kill all the progress NV has made getting their sites up and running. It calls for a 13 or 15 month blackout and imposes a lot of other unnecessary restrictions. This bill is awful and we, as players, should do all we can to oppose it.
  12. Did you post this same thing on Pocket 5s and are you working on a screen play?
  13. Yeah Merge, which is made up of various skins such as Carbon, RPM, Blackchip etc. and Revolution which is Lock, Intertops and some others, I highly recommend Intertops on that network, depositing is easy with a VISA debit and their cashouts are the best around. If you're a cash player True or America's Cardroom is probably your best bet but they aren't so good for MTTs except for the nightly $10K and Sunday $50K which are great. Then there is Bovada which I can't stand. You're taking a risk of course so don't put money on you can't afford to lose. Competition is tough on Merge and Revoluti
  14. Yeah it's the day I generally have the most costly crash and burn!
  15. Yes they are but depositing is difficult at best and withdrawing even worse and everyone knows what a big risk they're taking to have money on any of these sites. MTTs on Merge are not for the faint of heart as they are over filled with really good aggressive regs. Even the micro cash games are pretty tough. The guarantees on the MTTs are so low it's hard even for a good reg to break even some months. So while these sites still accept U.S. players many people aren't comfortable with it. I've played on Merge since BF and I can tell you it has been anything but easy and I've come close to g
  16. Started with 6 3 hours ago still in 4 so with decent stacks so I think that's a good sign. Good luck everyone!
  17. Saw this announced today on 2p2. Hopefully they'll fix some mistakes they made last time and the turnout will be better. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28/internet-poker/carbonpoker-presents-poker-maximus-iii-november-1258002/
  18. I'm opening for 16 to 18K max and then c-betting about 1/3 pot. You still give yourself room to get away from that hand with this bet sizing. With 15bb I also like jamming here, I think I like it best tbh. It's tough to play post flop poker with 15bb so a jam is never going to be bad here. You do lose some possible value by jamming but you keep yourself from having to make tough post flop decisions with so little left behind.
  19. We were deep, I min raised, he does this some, more than some other good regs but I didn't know this at the time. We probably have a couple of thousands of hands together and we do HH reviews together so lots of knowledge of each others game. Because I hadn't seen him do this, or at least not much, it threw me off somewhat at the time. I'm mostly interested in the concept of what and when and against who we can do this profitably. I also meant defending when shallow stacked. I defend a reasonable amount with 25bb+ but as we get shallower it becomes much trickier. Donk4 you're not p
  20. Things started out well but went to shit in a hurry! Cashed in the $60 $40K but busted the others OTM. Doubt I could be running worse lately. Good luck to anyone still in anything! Mexico is not looking to possible atm.
  21. Last night a good reg, who happens to be in my same staking group, did this. I opened from MP and he flatted in the bb with about 14 or 15bb, I had about 24bb. This is just something I generally don't do but it's gotten me thinking about the benefits of doing this so I'd like to discuss it. What hands are best to do this with? Against what type of opponent is it best to do this with? What are the pros? What are the cons? In the hand mentioned I was pretty confused by his flat and didn't even bother to c-bet.
  22. Here are the CO's stats over 1500 hands: VPIP 17, PFR 13, 3 Bet 6, Folds to 3 bet 84%, Overall attempts to steal 30%, total AF 4.4 total AFq 52.8, I don't find a stat for steals in the CO but he's still only opening 17% in this position. I don't know if this tell us enough or not but him having such a high fold to 3 bet stat does make it likely that pushing AT here would be profitable. Sorry shaggy I feel like I highjacked your thread but it is in the same vein.
  23. Okay last Sunday didn't get it so tomorrow is pretty much my last chance. So send me some good karma please.
