  1. Got in a bunch of games, made 3 final tables and bubbled another. One was a silly little sat and I finished 3rd for less than I had in it. The other two I had a 8th and 9th, lady luck and I didn't get along once I hit the FT's. Even with that I still finished the day down $50, how the hell do I make 3 FTs and still end up in the hole? Only on good ol Merge! Weeeee it's fun to be LOL American!
  2. Great thread, sorry I'm getting into it so late. Was putting in some serious Sunday grinding since I have a prop bet going on to play 300 MTTs this month which on freaking Merge takes some serious work and I hate losing prop bets. That said, I missed a ton of the hands today, does anyone know if they are re-airing today's broadcast anywhere?
  3. I read on PokerNews (sorry don't have the link) that GBT would be paying back non-US players and the DOJ will take care of paying back US players.
  4. You did I was only in for around $300 yesterday.
  5. GG Cobalt! Your 4th on Bodog paid more than my 4th on Merge! Finished 4th in the $33 $9K gtd for $693 - Raised ATo on the button, guy in the bb, who had been shoving his ass off, shoved on me and I called (with ICM it was close at best) he turns over ATo and hits a four flush and left me with 1 or 2bb and I busted 3 hands later. Decent profit for the day though and had a GREAT month so not complaining at all!
  6. Another good night on Hero! 2nd in the $16.50 $5K (same one I binked above) for $683.40, 3rd in the $5.50 $1K for $108 and 19th in the $11 2r,1a for $72, all for 5 hours work! The bankroll is looking much better now!
  7. Good news today: Fair Play USA is taking a regulate it for protection of consumers and to prevent under age gambling and identify problem gamblers point of view. Which since the PPA's game of skill argument hasn't gotten us very far might be a better angle. You can see all the witness testimony here: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showpost...p;postcount=128More info here and it's supposed to be streamed. It starts at 10:30 am ESTCan we get a one time for tomorrow's hearing!!!
  8. FairPlayUSA from FB: In advance of tomorrow's congressional hearing on online gambling, please tell us why you want to see online poker strictly regulated: http://action.fairplayusa.com/p/sals...111024facebook
  9. Just saw this on FB: http://www.pocketfives.com/articles/900-mi...t-poker-586875/
  10. @UncleHoot but but but if you and Max would play there would be 7502 players online! On a more serious note:Trump teaming with big hedge fund manager on online poker room! http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-10-1...ng-venture.htmlIf the Donald is getting involved there may be hope on the horizon.A couple of the members of the commerce sub-committee have mentioned the HR2366 and internet gaming hearing on their tweets and FB pages. https://www.facebook.com/bonomack/posts/10150422264840664 Mary Bono Mack's post, please like the poker comments and make your own response if you like. I got this
  11. Key points from the conference call with John Pappas tonight:Fairplay USA isnt as "out there" as we would like. PPA has little contact with them -- mostly via their lobbiest. The South Carolina law suit is in Supreme Court and awaiting decisiion (skill vs luck). The Virginia law suit regarding the Port Smith poker room is scheduled for NOV 9, skill vs luck.A hearing on the HR 2366 the Barton bill is scheduled for Oct. 25 in the commerce sub-committee. Fair Play USA's Board members Freeh and Ridge were both invited to participate in hearing next week in D.C. but both will be out of country so the
  12. Hero may be re-opening and they are more reliable (only my opinion based on my interactions and the 2p2 interactions with the CEO) and they have a couple of freeroll MTTs and some freeroll PLO sngs and some super micro PLO/HORSE etc MTTs available that the rest of the network doesn't have. These make it a bit easier to grind up a bankroll, so if they are indeed reopened you might want to think about giving them a try.@Max thanks for the reply and I do understand how you feel.
  13. The PPA has learned that the U.S. House of Representatives’ Subcommittee for Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade will hold a hearing on Internet gaming on Tuesday, October 25, 2011. The subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee will bring forward a variety of witnesses to discuss regulation of Internet gaming and gather information for a future hearing to examine the merits of Rep. Joe Barton’s Online Poker Act of 2011 (H.R. 2366). At the time of this email the witnesses for the hearing are still unknown. The PPA and its lobbying team will continue to meet with members of the subc
  14. I play on Hero but they didn't reopen to the US and they aren't going to. It's a shame because the customer service is honestly Stars quality. David Jung is CEO and he formerly worked for Stars and when I email them he replies personally within 24 hours. There is also a Hero thread on 2p2 where he replies almost daily. I've gotten used to the MTTs on Merge and I don't mind them as much now as I did a couple of months ago but they are reg filled.
  15. No problem Bob, I was mostly curious as to why it seemed to be such a pain for you to do something that should be fairly easy. Now I understand so no problem at all. We're all human and we all screw up and it's not like I really care that much, so whenever, whatever or if ever no big deal. Thanks for all you do for FCP! Hope my questions didn't sound bitchy, I really was just curious.
  16. Just a question for those of you US players who choose not to play online anymore, what is your reasoning? If you'd spend $100 on dinner and a movie why would you not put that same $100 online and continue to play? If you grind it up, great if you grind it up and we get DOJ'd again and you lose what you grind up to you've still kept up your game and got to enjoy playing and in the end your only out your $100 since everything else is won money. I know I'm a total degen and poker fanatic so no way I quit but I just haven't really understood why so many people don't want to play, yet many of you
  17. Ditto to what SuperJon said! I've played since 4/16, I went right over to Carbon where I had a little money and deposited immediately on Cake and Bodog. I lost my initial deposits since I was so pissed about BF. I was way too tilted to be trying to play but I learned my lesson, got my head outta my ass and pulled my game back together. 1. I'm not going to let some stupid law keep me from playing a game I worked hard on and love. As long as there is a place to play I will continue to play. 2. The money I'm playing with now was built up from the $100 I won in the Hero freeroll in May. I have alm
  18. Wednesday night I'm in on a conference call with John Pappas (PPA) let me know if there are any questions you would like asked.
  19. Well brutal grind, busted a bunch, 13/303 (or something like that) in the $11 cubed $6.25K for $85 so only down about hundred for the day. Could of been worse! It was my day for running into the top of everyone's range and/or getting sucked out on. That's poker!
  20. thanks all!Rose just remember when they play 72o and get lucky it reinforces their bad play and that's why we win, because they make mistakes and play badly. If they all played perfectly we couldn't ever beat the game. That one things that's so tough on Merge, decent to good regs deep in every tournament even the lower buy in ones. I'd love more donks!!!
  21. Merge re-opened to US players so sign up!!!
  22. LOL Americans made me laugh! I'll be doing the Sunday grind on da Merge... Time for some more FTs and another bink or three!!!
  23. They've improved a decent bit. The payout structures are much better now, still not perfect but better. I've gotten use to the games so they don't seem so bad now. Hopefully the influx of fresh fish will help all the way around. I just hope it doesn't get their asses busted!
