I lost interent connectivity during a tournament on tilt last night, and it annoyed the hell out of me. So, what annoys you when playing online poker?

He got 1stwhat place u get? -
I honestly have no idea. Watched the whole thing this afternoon on my work machine - Windows 2000 Pro, Windows Media Player 9. Just double checked and still seems to work fine.Specific Windows Media Player Version: 9.00.00.3250Wish I could help moreAny reason I'm getting still images with this? - I have cable internet- All media players and plugins are up to date.- I don't have the ESPN 360 player <---- Is that the reason? -
http://broadband.espn.go.com/EBB2/baseline...long_format.wmvI was once given a link for that showthat I need again if possible, but I also had problems getting it. One problem I KNOW I have is the fact that I am on Dial UP (flame away, I know). Can you download the show OR does it just have to load from the site and play once it has enough cached (or whatever it does) to show it?Thanks for the link and the info,Co-D -
Working fine for me.or is it just me? its all locked up!!! -
I assume this means in addition to not liking the pre-flop raise (already said I know this is a bad hand,) that you don't like the semi-bluff on the flop, and you think the flush is no good on the turn? What hand do you put the small blind on, and why?Whole hand sucks.
Actually no. I was hoping to get into some decent conversation about how to play small-middle flushes. I lost this hand to Aguy just wants praise for hitting a flush. what an idiot7
. I don't come hear looking for pick-me-ups. I normally expect a slew of pre-teen boys to stroke their e-penis by using witty insults to look cool online, but I hold out hope for some decent strategy talk/help with my game.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) converterMP3 ($11.25)CO ($9.95)Hero ($3.85)SB ($25.30)BB ($3.75)UTG ($13.10)UTG+1 ($12.60)MP1 ($4.10)MP2 ($11.45)Preflop: Hero is Button with Td, 6d. 2 folds, MP1 calls $0.30, CO calls $0.30.-- I normally won't play T6. In fact this was the first time out of 22 (In my ptracker db,) that I played it when not in one of the blinds. I had played very few hands at this table, and figured I would gamble a litte.Flop: ($1.70) Kd, 2d, Qc (4 players)SB checks, MP1 checks, CO checks, Hero bets $1.5, SB calls $1.50, MP1 folds, CO calls $1.50.-- Checks to me. I semi-bluff.Turn: ($6.20) 8d (3 players)SB checks, CO checks, Hero bets $1.95 (All-In), SB calls $1.95, CO folds.-- Checks to me again. At the time I figure I would push the rest in to avoid someone having an Ad and getting a free river. However, after seeing it again, its pretty close to the right odds anyways. About 4-1 pot odds and about a 15% chance to hit another diamond. So about 3-5% off depending how specific you get.-- Other thoughts?River: ($10.10) 5s (2 players, 1 all-in)Final Pot: $10.10

Live Tournament Update 2005 WSOP [Event 20] $5,000Pot imit Hold'em Scandal at table 3 After checking security tapes and speaking to the dealers, the Rio staff has determined that during the break the leg of table was kicked causing Brunson's end of the table to tip. The chips stacks of seats 6, 7 (Brunson), 8, and 9 were dislodged causing many of them to fall to the floor. When the dealer replaced the stacks, Brunson's pink chips ($500s) were place in another players stack. The most likely stack was Paul Testud's (seat 8), but he unfortunately did not count his chips prior to the break and doesn't think he has any extras. To make the situation worse, Testud does not speak english and requires a translator. Hershel Zelewski was in the six seat and agrees with Brunson's story-- he claims that Brunson did indeed have 7 or 8 pick chips before the break. from pokerwire.com

4th -- but there are still 12 players (6 at my table and 6 at the other - the other table also has a guy stalling - waiting 15 seconds every time its on him.) So there is still lots of time left, but the blinds are starting to hurt with the idiot at the other table making every hand last almost a minute.Where's the money at? Fifth? -
Right -- thats what I mean by stepping out of the mess. Playing normal, and not letting the fact that I've been running cold mess with my headlol i dont think this is a preflop foldbut you certainly cant convince yourself its AA from a minimum raise and play scared cause of it -
I agree, wish I could have stepped out of the mess -- Luckily it was not the end of my tournament. I managed to put it behind me and play decently after.IF you're going to play incorrectly based on your "gut feeling" why not minimize your possible losses and get out of the way? Playing the hand like you did ends up being the worst of all possible options, including folding the flop.Ice -
Yep -- can normally always find someone with a worse bad-beat story, or running colder than you could imagine. I love it :twisted:that's poker -
Just didn't make sense -- I had no reason, no read (was like the 6th hand of the tournament. ) I did let it affect how I played, so folding probably was the best decision - guy probably could have had 72o and taken me down, had he been a decent player.i thought he had acesFold the flop then. -
Pretty much matches what I was thinking. Six handed, I really liked Tens. I bet 600 - he called and showed Kings. Caught a King on the River.I was knocked out in tenth a few hands later:PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (5 handed) converterButton (t3055)SB (t4225)BB (t3630)Hero (t685)MP (t2850)Preflop: Hero is UTG with Ks, Kh. I can sympathize with the OP. I play on multiple sites, and have had a horrendous run on one this week. The bad part is I'm almost positive I've aloud it to affect my play.A few sample hands from the last five days:
Flop sixes full of Aces, lose to Aces full of Queens when a Queen hits the river.
Flop a set of sixes, turn a boat, and lose to JJ when a Jack hits the river.
Flop broadway, lose to a boat (AQ) when a second Ace comes on the river.
Flop top two (AQ) three way pot, turn is a King giving one player a better two pair, and the third player broadway.I'm not pricing people in, or giving them free cards. I'm not slow playing these hands, I'm getting people to make incorrect calls (based purely on odds.) Its very frustrating, I just hope I can walk away a better player because of it.G'luck to the OP, hopefully you find a way to improve your game through your current bad run.
