  1. I shoved, and even had my kids cheering for 'no 7' once the flop came (I know...bad father!), but:Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with K, Q. 1 fold, Hero raises to t34304, 2 folds, MP3 raises to t43641, 4 folds.Flop: (t87145) 4, Q, K(2 players)Turn: (t87145) 5(2 players)River: (t87145) 7(2 players)Final Pot: t78208*** SHOW DOWN ***whezer16: shows [Ks Qs] (two pair, Kings and Queens)PSISFNBS: shows [7d 7c] (three of a kind, Sevens)PSISFNBS collected 78208 from potI felt that shoving was right, but given the way the hand played out I thought that maybe I was wrong to get it all in with a drawing hand.

  4. I think this is true. I have to remember to not just copy the style of the Cardrunner guys (who are extremely aggressive), but to incorporate an aggressive appraoch into MY game. Thanks for all of the great feedback everyone!!! I have already made some changes for the better.
  5. Any guidelines for firing 2 barrels?
  6. I tend to play full-ring mid-limit NLHE cash games. I am a little frustrated right now when it comes to c. betting. I have really ratcheted up the aggression in my game lately (with help from Cardrunners) but I find that c. betting has now become a leak for me. My c. bets tend to be roughly 75-90% of the pot, and I will sometimes hold back on c. betting when OOP, when facing multiple callers. and when there are lots of draws on the board. With missed flops, it seems that my c. bets either win me a little or lose me a lot, especially if I fire 2 barrels. I think that at these limits I may need
  7. Quit UB last year...customer support is non existent...small table selection...they started tacking on fees to routine withdrawal requests. Pathetic imo. Super happy with PS.Loved the interface and faster games too though.
  8. I figured he may reasonably be shoving with QQ...I called...he turned over A9offsuit.
  9. I think you're right. I didn't figure him for AA or AK, so why not bet the turn? I think I acted like a deer in the headlights instead of thinking it through. QQ, TT, or JJ was most likely imo. I checked figuring I would call any bet on the river (which I did).

  11. The key, for me, is to focus on good decision making. If I get sucked out on for a big pot it usually doesn't upset me anymore so long as I made good decisions on the hand. I know that in the long run things will even out. I am much more likely to get upset if I make a stupid decision that costs me money.
  12. I have misclicked (usually due to browsing the internet while playing) min. raises or called raises accidentally with nothing, but have never blown more that ~$20. I sometimes compund the mistake when I hit part of the flop and feel like I should c.bet/semi-bluff to try and get my money back...usually doesn't work out.Anyone have any horror stories?

  14. Thanks for all the feedback. I agree that a pf reraise is probably in order. I also agree that the min. raise on the turn is a little weak, but it usually gets me the info I want without pot-committing myself. I will re-raise more in these situations in the future. The only way it seems that I get away from this hand is if he 3 bets all-in preflop.

  16. This situation still confounds me:Low limit NLHE...relatively new to the table/little info on opponents...opponents with full/equal stacks...I have AA in SB...1 limper in MP...I raise 4xBB and limper calls...flop comes Q83 rainbow...I bet out 75% of pot...opponent raises (2.5x my bet). What the hell do I do now? He may have AQ and is feeling me out, or he may have a set and I am dominated. Folding is safe but seems too conservative. Calling and check-calling down to the river seems weak. Raising or shoving is high risk.I need advice.
  17. Thanks for the feedback.I have taken some ridiculous bad beats (no, really...see bad beats forum) right at the beginning of my attempt to learn 6-max and so I am feeling particularily uncertain about continuing. I'm going to give it a good shot though.
  18. I have only played 9 max until recently, and have been a marginally winning player (1-2 BB's/100hands). The swings are relatively mild and I have always been most comfortable with full ring.Recently I have tried 6-max (using tips from Cardrunners,...) and I am addicted now to the constant action. The variance however seems DRAMATICALLY greater. Even though I feel like I am playing solidly i worry that I am headed for disaster.Any advice?
  19. I've been learning 6 max NLHE and doing quite well despite running into a lot of coolers lately, but this is the straw that broke the camel's back:PokerStars Game #16218925216: Hold'em No Limit ($0.50/$1.00) - 2008/03/24 - 15:18:34 (ET)Table 'Burgundia III' 6-max Seat #4 is the buttonSeat 1: X!DoMyBestX ($141.15 in chips) Seat 2: Ldonnie ($102 in chips) Seat 3: whezer16 ($99.50 in chips) Seat 4: bmwe60 ($134.95 in chips) Seat 5: dapapst ($100.55 in chips) Seat 6: Kapol ($100 in chips) dapapst: posts small blind $0.50Kapol: posts big blind $1*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to whezer16 [Qd Qc]X!DoMyBes

  22. Holy cow...info on Cardrunner videos is awesome. I knew I needed to add aggression to my game but didn't really know how. Love it so far.
  23. Thanks for the feedback.Has anyone subscribed and found it a worthwhile investment?
  24. I'm looking for a website with video tutorials for NLHE 9-10 player cash games, as opposed to 6-max tables.Any suggestions?
