  1. out of curiosity did they send you to the class or how does that work exactly. I have thought about trying to get a dealer job down here in biloxi but wasn't sure how to go about it.
  2. I understand what you are saying about him possibly having 6789. It was just a thought about him posturing. Its hard to read a situation when you are not actually in it. You have experience playing with him as I do not. I just have played with the guys before that like to pretend that they are building a pot when they have a monster hand and then people think he is loose and he eats them up. I agree with your shove on the flop, you have to do that to maintain control of the hand.
  3. i would love to but I am not a good limit player. I need to practice it more.
  4. let me know if you head down to biloxi and try to get banned. I want to come watch. ha ha
  5. I don't mind your preflop play. I think it was correct to try and isolate with that hand. You want to move those junk hands out. On the flop though I might have been hesistant to push there. It seems to me that with the statement the OR said that he could have been posturing with K K x x. I agree with not wanting to give up control of the hand but I would have been carefull. What was the outcome I am interested to know?
  6. could someone please explain rakeback to me and how that works. Sorry to kind of derail but i have never understood it.
  7. Thanks for that info. I never thought of trying to satty and build my bankroll that way. I am going to have to give that a shot.
  8. Great flop for you both times. That is the risk you take when you slow play AA like that. Of course the guy should have been more aware and considered you having an 8 in that spot. Other than that congrats on the hands man.
  9. I am sorry if it came out that way. I really just wanted advice on this hand. I obviously made some mistakes and just wanted some advice on my thought process. I learned some things thanks to you guys.
  10. I like the show. I was worried at first because it was on G4 and I figured it would be nothing but the guys running around with hot girls and such. I don't mind that it is just I wanted to see some poker. My question is are they just going to play online poker or are they going to play some live poker as well? I want and need a tilt room. I will def be watching more of this show.
  11. dude that sucks that you have had to deal with this for this long. At least you learned your lesson on loaning this guy money. I read earlier in the thread that people on here will coach others. I have been playing for a few years but really want to take my game to the next level. I started posting on here hoping to get info and some advice. I would love to be coached if anyone is intersted.
  12. Thanks for the advice and I will keep that in mind in the future especially about stealing the pot and hitting the ace. I didn't think about that at the time so i will try and correct that in the future. I am always learning. That is why I posted this so I could learn from it. I will make mistakes but at least I can learn from them.
  13. I did consider 66 and 77. The only thing that had me lean away from that is how he has played mid pp in the past. This guy has a very distinc betting pattern and I don't think he realizes it. Plus with my flat call I figure he probably put me on over cards before the flop. All of my reasoning is based also off of how I play and he has played with me enough to know I am aggressive. I was trying to figure out what he thought I might have. The only reason I could see him shoving is if he had pp below what was on the board. Like I said earlier I normally wouldn't call with A 5 off in this situati
  14. first off I wasn't out of position. I was on the button. I had position on him. Before the flop I wasn't sure he had low pp. He might have had Kj or KQ. I was fairly certain I had the best hand after the flop since he fired $17 into a $7.75 pot. Not to mention I have played with this guy for years. This wasn't the first time I have ever played with him. As far as seeing his hole cards yeah i should have waited and made him show first but I didn't want to cause anyone to get their pants in a twist.
