"At your age I looked for hardship, danger, horror, and death, that I might feel the life in me more intensely. I did not let the fear of death govern my life; and my reward was, I had my life."If anyone guesses what play that is from, then i'll be absolutely stunned.

Oh My God. Has Anyone Ever Lost This Much Money?
SapphireTiger replied to MikeR's topic in General Poker Forum
No. No one in the history of poker has ever lost that much money. ever. -
HAHAHAHA. The ending was AWESOME.
-
If you'd like to see how it's done. Go to YouTube and type in "Street Magic Revealed"Kinda ruins it...but interesting how they pull off those tricks.
-
i'm ****ing ugly. give me money?

Basically, you're not going to get any simple answers or some short cut math trick. As Cobalt said, "You want to raise an amount where they're receiving incorrect odds to continue playing with the hand that you put them on."It'll depend on so many different factors that anyone here is going to have a hard time giving you an answer.
-
Again,it really depends whether it's limit or no limit, what the stakes are, and if it's a cash game or tourney.A lot of people leak out of their asses from the smallblind. They justify it because of the "generous" pot odds and the implied odds...but if you check your pokertracker, you'll see that there are less hands than you think that are +EV to complete the smallblind with.

Honestly, they aren't going to understand. Non-poker players don't realize its not a session to session thing. When you lose just say you broke even.

Ah...KowboyKoop in his true form.

It's supposed to be the other way around. The more you play the less you go on tilt.Generally, when you first start playing, you don't know what the **** you're doing, so you dont' tilt. When you learn a little more, you go on tilt because you realize that your opponents are about as smart as bricks. Then when you play A LOT more...you get numb to the money. A one session/one hand means nothing because you know you are making +EV decisions and you'll make up for it later.

because he's awesome.
