Benvenisti wont play anymore because Moneymaker gave away the "tell" he had on him! He just claimed he had a tell so he didn't look foolish on his bad calls that ended up going his way!

When I first started reading your post I was assuming that you check from the blind. Bad assumption! You should have never seen the flop with this hand. The one thing most people don't understand is you can NEVER get good enough odds to play crappy hands!

Because I'd say just about anything to be picked as wellUB four9's

I don't remember all the specifics of that hand... but I do remember the commentators (who apparently don't know much about stud) overstating a little how good the play was. Even iIn a full-ring game, it'd be correct to play with a pair of 2's and an overcard kicker against a probable pair, and to be prepared to go to the river unless you know your opponent has 2-pair early. In a 3-handed situation, it's even better. At some point, I think Brown checked the hand, and I think Forrest took it down without a showdown. Does anyone remember better?I don't doubt that Forrest had a good read on Br

1st payed about 1,0502nd @ 6253rd @400I did push it in thinking middle pair was likely good heads up with a loose player and if not then I probably had outs. But that wasn't the case! He called and turned over A J so I was drawing to 2 outs and was drawing dead when a hit the turn. I never really thought about check/folding to try to move up. I really thought that if I doubled up I would have had a good chance to make heads up and have a chance to win the whole thing.Thanks.

Playing in a multi table NLHE tournament. Blinds are at 4,000 - 8,000 and increasing rapidly. I have 12,000 remaing after posting the big blind. 5 players remaining in the big blind I checked with Q 6 against 1 limper who is the chip leader by far and has been playing almost every hand. So it's heads up with a flop of J 6 2 . The player to my left has 12,000 remaing in chips and will be in the big blind on the next hand. 5th place pays $155 4th pays $240 Just checking to see if I played it the way most others would. I'll post the results later. Thanks for the help

If luck weren't involved I guess I would always win! - Phil Helmuth

I think I play mostly like Harrington. Tight Aggressive. Let others make mistakes then capitalize on them.

All most people play is NLHE because that is what is on TV. :wall:

I could be wrong but it sounds like you win $500 for every game you beat him in. It's not a bet!

Too Bad you were playing in a PLAY MONEY Tournament.Yours doesn't count! -
Maybe I'm not the smartest guy but wouln't the best hand be quad 10's.Next best would be jacks full of 10's then 10's full of jacks.Think before you post.

In early position you can try to eliminate other player, but in late position you can't knock anyone off their hand in limit poker it's just 1 more bet. Just calling in late position also helps to disguise your hand if you do hit a set.Pocket Jacks are vastly overrated by many nubies.
