  3. The wife thing I can see as being viewed as a witch hunt but not the political contributions received by Dodd (and Obama) from AIG:According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Obama received $104,332 from AIG and Dodd raked in $103,900. Obama and Dodd far outpaced the rest of Congress, as the next largest beneficiary received about $45,000 less than each of them.My guess is the wife's position was just another form of a "political donation" to Dodd. These things would normally be viewed by me as business as usual in Washington but since Dodd and Obama are the two screaming the loudest about
  4. WoW! This from RealClearPolitics.Link: HereDodd's Wife a Former Director of Bermuda-Based IPC Holdings, an AIG Controlled CompanyBy Kevin RennieNo wonder Senator Christopher Dodd (D-Conn) went wobbly last week when asked about his February amendment ratifying hundreds of millions of dollars in bonuses to executives at insurance giant AIG. Dodd has been one of the company's favorite recipients of campaign contributions. But it turns out that Senator Dodd's wife has also benefited from past connections to AIG as well. From 2001-2004, Jackie Clegg Dodd served as an "outside" director of IPC Hol
  5. No doubt. The President and Sen. Dodd, who were some of first the people screaming about the bonuses, are the very ones who put the language in the stimulus bill that allowed for the bonuses to happen! At first, Dodd even denied it: On Tuesday, Dodd told FOX News that he didn't add the exemption."When the language went to the conference and came back, there was different language," he said then. "I can tell you this much, when my language left the Senate, it did not include it. When it came back, it did."Then he admitted that he did add the exemption but that the President's Treasury officials f

    Dear Ouch 8-s

Not sure about killing a pump station but I had the same trouble a month or so ago when I bought a new microsoft wireless mouse.I had to download a fix for it from the microsoft website now it works fine.Who would have thunk that a microsoft wireless mouse would have messed up the screensaver for microsoft Vista?
  8. I agree, it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Just wanted to vent.
  9. I'm not really worried about anything regarding this, I just find it rediculous.
  10. "The US is a nation of cowards on racial matters".This is truly an amazing statement from our new Attorney General. Not only to we have a black President and a black Supreme Court Justice but we also have our first black Attorney General. Attorney General Eric Holder. But yet we are a nation of cowards when it comes to racial matters!?! Holder said, but "we, as average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race." What's there to talk about? I'm white, your black and we are both human beings created in God's image. Ok, good talk. Thanks. But wait that's not all.Holder said the
  11. Now that's not very nice lol.Sorry to respond so late. Haven't checked the forums lately.Pretty sure I know what a socialist though is.
  12. I am a conservative and agree that Obama is a refreshing honest character and really admire him for his speech on the racist Rev. Wright and his thought about race relations in America. As much as I admire him as a person I cannot vote for him due to his socialist positions on the issues. He is the most fiscally liberal candidate running for President out of the three and with a majority in congress will no doubt have free reign. If he does win though at least I won't have the disdain for him like I did for Algore or Kerry.I am a bit offended though that he called his Grandmother a "typical whi
