i think my favorite moment from the show is when Bruno is hanging out with the wrestling team guys during spring break. he keeps making them do a cheer where they have to yell P-A-R-T-Y PARTY!!!! each time, he tells them they need more energy, so they keep doing it and going crazy. it probably doesnt sound too funny in print, its more of something you need to see.then, when Bruno reveals that all this was for "austrian gay tv" the reaction from the guys is just classic. "WHAT!? This aint no gay tv!!!"

im not sure if i agree with your chipleader comment. though it works in a sense, i was trying to think more of performing in the clutch with heavy pressure. though he does it now, i dont think roger is going to continue winning every match he plays in majors in 3 or 4 sets, so he is going to have to be able to pull out those matches sometime. the only person who has ever really put pressure on him in a major final was nadal in the french (which nadal won). i am in no way saying that roger cant handle the pressure or that he is going to turn into playoffs peyton manning if he has to go five sets against roddick (or whoever else) in a open or wimbledon. right now, it is an unknown.(PS) Agassi! though he has grown on me in his old man years, i always hated agassi back in the day when he and pete were dueling. also, i think that pete had maybe the greatest final moment in sports. he is washed up and hasnt won anything for two years, then in his final tournament, he wins the us open (beating his arch rival in the finals) and goes out on top. i just dont think any athlete has ever gone out on top like that.On the 5 set match thing, it's like defining which is better being the chipleader and having an easy ride to a win in a tournament or being down to chip and a chair and fighting and clawing your way back to win the tournament.Both have the same result. It's just a matter of which you think is more impressive in attaining that result.Roger is undoubtably a great front runner. I think the less tennis you have to play to achieve #1 the better. Means you can maintain that level of tennis longer. So I'm not sure that the 5 set match record necessarily says good things for Pete.But I grew up idolizing Agassi.

i think that one thing pete may have had over roger was the ability to pull out the epic 5-set match. pete won so many of those matches, many when he was injured. Roger has yet to really have a defining classic match. true, he takes care of everybody quick and hasnt had the oppurtunities pete had, but i believe roger has a pretty mediocre record in five set matches.with all that said though, even though i grew up idolizing pete, i would still have to go roger > pete. the shots that roger hits and his level of dominance right now is just freakish.Good point to apply back to our Roger vs. Pete discussion. I don't think Pete was ever that intimidating to his peers. -
i think my greatest achievement in life is beating contra by myself once without using the code for extra lives. i wish i was joking. i also wish i could do it again, but i could probably play the rest of my life and not be able to pull it off again.

i dont know how many people watched the match with blake last night, but i think the body lanugage/verbal language of blake was really telling of how other players feel playing federer. like, when roger hit one of his amazing/routine shots, blake just yells at him "you're too good". it just must really suck playing federer, knowing that when he is on his game there is absolutely nothing you can do.

it would definately be higher than it is now, but because of things like the katrina fall out it still wouldnt bet stellar. it really is impossible to say though, because nearly every decision of the administration has been in some way effected by iraq. even the aftermath of katrina probably would have been somewhat different if it weren't for all the time/money/attention that iraq has been getting from the administration.

i used to be a huge wrestling mark, and owen and bret were my two favorites. so, i was really saddened and shocked when owen died.

i found this on youtube yesterday and thought it was so awesome i had to share it. even if you dont like tennis, you will be amazed by what federer does here.
the best part is the clear dejection of roddick after this point. there is no way a person can bounce back from something like that. -

wordI was so into Metallica in like 9th grade that it's hard for me to give them any kind of real evaluation. I listen to them maybe twice a year.My musical taste has really changed in the last few weeks, though.And the worst band ever is U2. It's not close.
