  1. I've started to play with about $20 on PS and now i'm at 47.xx$. But i first played out of my bankroll so i went back to 0.02$. ( i only use PT3 since 1 week) My goals are :- Double the money before the end of the month, (i don't even know if that's realistic...lol), in order to be as close as possible as $100 ( can't wait to play higher stakes).- Playing as many hands as possible. Here's my current graph :graphl.jpgAny advices/tips would be appreciate.
It looks like i'm doing pretty well. Now my BK is up to $64. I finished in the money in many tournaments. most of them are 9-45 players but i also finished 28th out of 4500+ players...but i only won $8.gamesi.jpgtournaments.jpg
  2. I agree in the late stages i think you can start raising 2x- 2.5x the BB and get the same info and it does make the c-bet less costly. Personally i would check a flop this coordinated out of position. On the turn you hit your top pair, but also completes the flush. I would have checked the flop and probably took a stab at the pot on the turn. betting about 1/3 the pot, which would have been smaller in size do to pot control. On river i'm check folding this 99% of the time unless i have some sick read on my opponent.
Ok, thanks for the infos. And about the sick read, i thought i had it..lol!
  3. PF raise is fine...you could have bet more on the flop, but at these stakes is villian folding the NF draw? Call on the river is suspect, what exactly are you beating here? A fold leaves you with 91K with blinds at 3500/7000, plenty of room to find a better spot.
Well, in fact he was a good player and i thought he was chasing his flush agaisnt the odds. But that was not the case. I checked on the river and when he betted i thought "Wtf? he can't have a flush he's bluffing!"
  4. I just played a tournament. The buy-in was $1.10, there was 4500+ players and the price pool was about $4500.I played well until this hand. I don't know why i played it like that. I didn't lose all my chips on this hand but it was the beginning of the end. I finished 28th out of 4500 and won $8.15 (first place was paid like $500).I think i should have raised more pre flop and on the flop. Discuss.http://www.pokerhandreplays.com/view.php/id/398579At least, until now, i'm still a winning player...

  5. Good luck to you and hope you continue to love poker when that graph swings the other way.
Yeah, i know it will happen. That's why i enjoy the moment. I also know that 1,000 hands is nothing but we all have to start somewhere, right ?And to answer a previous post, yes i use the HUD at the table.
You know what I love? Chocolate. And highwaystar. And Highwaystar dipped in chocolate.
Do you like croissants, cheese, red wine and frog legs too?
  6. Non, i didn't win $10,000 at the SCOOP....lol I play micro stakes and try to build a decent bankroll.Tonight i played at 2 different tables (at the same time) for the first time and it was great. I finished on one table but it was full of fishes. I'm far from being a very good player but i saw stuff that i can't even beleive : we finished at only 4-5 persons and most of them played like 80 % of the hands and never raised. They called me all the way long...amazing!So just to tell you i feel happy...lol. I know it is only micro stakes but i think it is a good start. I'd also like to have opinions about my stats like BB/100 or stuff like that because i'm new with PK3 and i don't really know what the "average" at those blinds.ps : sorry for my poor english, but French is my first language.statsgnd.jpg

  7. I'm far from being a great player but i'm doing well at micro stakes and i gain money. My advice would be to keep your game as simple as possible. Play only the good hands (of course it depends of your position) and raise a lot when you're pretty sure to have the best hands. At those stake people will call you with any two cards, so let the donks call you raises. You can also read some books, it's helps a lot. If you're losing money you're probably playing too much hands. Imo over 15-20 % is way too much. You should also get one of those software, like poker tracker, it will help you to analyze your game and find your leak.I'll always been a "decent" but i really started to improve my game after i learnt patience (sometime waiting for a good hand can be boring) and after i decide to never play a marginal hands.Cheers.

  8. There are no cases of people in the US who could not afford care, have attempted to avail themselves of care through all available options, and were unable to get care.Reality matters.
That's bollocks. This kind of situation exists everywhere. I know people in France and in the US with low paid jobs who work like 8 hrs a day and earn about 800 euros. a month. When you have to paya rent and some bills with few money you can't afford anything else. Some people don't wear glasses because they can't afford it, some others can't take care of their teeth cuz they can't afford it, etc...You should read Daniel's blog when he talks about his mom and says how much some "things" cost in an US hospital compare to Canada. The fact is when you rich you can pay a doctor or an hospital, when you poor you can't. And things will become worse. You can't blame people because they don't earn like $5000 a month. If you were a poor dude who just got fired from GM you'd think different.More, even if he doesn't always tells the true you should watch the Micheal Moore's movie called "Sicko". You'll learn a lot of things about universal health care system.
  9. Some things nobody has mentioned:You should be sitting at least 100 times the big blind deep at all times. Let's say you had been sitting on $2. That's an extra 50 cents you would have won that you're just throwing away because you're not sitting with enough money. If you have at least $100 in your account, you should just buy in for the maximum. Also, it's a good idea to turn the pokerstars "auto rebuy" on.
i had 100 BB. I came with $2 and the BB was at 0.02$.
  10. Without trying to come across as an *******, you could have remembered that you were playing no limit instead of limit. You have an early position raiser, which means he has a strong hand and will call more than a minimum re-raise. (You should never ever ever ever ever do this, by the way.) The fact that someone else called before you means you should be raising this to like .32-.38 or so, I guarantee you'll still get callers. Check through on the flop is fine.Again, don't min-raise the turn. This is a standard blocking bet from villain here, betting .10 into a .75 pot - he basically doesn't want you to raise because his hand isn't that strong. You basically need to pretend like he checked here - would you have only bet .20 if it were checked to you? I doubt it - bet like .55 or so. River obv plays itself.
ok, thanks guys, i'll follow your advices. No more mini-raise..lol.
  11. Ok, i meant your raise from .08-.16 wasn't that big, i would have raised to 0.2-0.3I dunno, im just not a fan of small/min raises. In my eyes it doesnt extract max value, sure it keeps your opponent in, but you dont have very much to show for it.The check on the flop and then min raise on 4th street looks very strong to me. Most semi decent players would notice this. All in all, at these stakes, simple poker is the best. Raise/Bet every street. Like i said before, these guys will call you with any hand. You must exploit this.
    ok, thanks.
  12. You more than double up didnt you? Is that not close to max value? - Though you probably wouldnt have got max value if that 3 hadnt hit. Villain probably thought he hit gin LOLTBH you played that hand pretty weird for a few reasons.1) DONT min-raise preflop, raise to .2-.3 at least to get max value.2) Why do you check that flop? to make it seem as though youve got AK?3) When you do get a guy to bet out on the turn, you min-raise him again. Why? Raise bigger. Remember, guys at these stakes will call you with any pair, any draw, so when you have a hand like QQ, you need to raise bigger than a min-raise.This isnt supposed to be an insulting post, im just offering advice. :club:
Thank. no problem, advices are welcome.1) i didn't mini raise : i post 0.03 because i was "sitting out" the hand before. First player raised to 0.08 and i reraised at 0.16.2)No. Just cause i don't want people to know i flopped a big hand. Imo they would have folded thinking i had the last 8 or a big pair.3) Once again, because i don't want him to fold. I want to be paid. But yeah i should have reraised more on the turn.

  14. Even if he does happen to have a deal where he gets rakeback for being a pokerstars pro, I am sure he's not calculating that into his numbers.
It's off topic but just a quick question : i don't really understand the point of "rake" and "Monthly Gross Rake" in the Poker Trackers's statistics...?
  15. Je sais Patrick Bruel. Il est acteur et chanteur. Ainsi que, il joue poker. Je pense il gagne un tourni dans le EPT, mais je ne suis pas sur. Je vais faire mon examen de francais demain, suis-je bon en francais?
Yes, you're pretty good. Except you should "je connais patrick Bruel", not "je sais Patrick". In french you can't say "i know ..." when you're talking about a person but "je connais".To know = savoir (when you talk about an object or something)orTo know someone = connaitre (when you talk about a person). It's complicated, because it's not like that all the time, but just know you should use the verb "connaitre" when you talk about a man or a girl.
