  1. Daniel is currently playing at a .05/.10 table, and I managed to get there right as he was starting. I made it to first in line on the waiting list, and to my horror it told me there was an open seat when there wasn't. Tragically, it gave me a minute to take my seat, but no one left during the minute so there was no seat to take. Just another example of Pokerstars crushing my dreams, haha. Good luck Daniel, maybe someday I can make it back to the top of the list when the system isn't screwed up. I just hope it happens before you climb out of my bankroll level =).
  2. Well, my bracket took some hits in the first round with Allen Cunningham, Chris Ferguson, and Annie Duke getting knocked out. Also, J.C. Tran falling was a HUGE miss, as I had him going to the finals. However, those are the only players I had going past the 2nd round that fell, so overall not too bad considering the structure makes it fairly luck-based anyway. Overall I was 21 for 32 for the first round matches, so could be worse and could be better. Kaplan really surprised me by taking out Ferguson, who is always a perennial powerhouse. I know Kaplan is good and knows his stuff, but I still f
  3. My reasoning for having Laak go this far was basically that "Math" guys and aggressive players tend to do very well in this structure and I think Phil has a good combination of aggressive play and the math knowledge to know when the +EV spots will be in this fast structure when the blinds get too high for either stack. When it comes to Laak vs. Hansen it was a tough pick since Gus will be the first opponent who I feel plays more aggressively than Laak, but I just randomly picked Laak. However, I'll admit I don't have a really good idea of what I'm talking about, just did this for fun.
  4. Hello FCP members- I have quickly put together my picks for the NBC Heads Up Poker Championship. I picked Daniel Negreanu to win because I am a big fan of his heads up style and I think it's his year having little success in the tournament thus far. Most picks were based on who's styles I feel are better suited for the fast structure of the tournament. However, some picks were random guesses based on little information on either player, or I went with who I would like to see win if I thought it was a complete toss-up. Anyway, let me know what you think of my picks and post your own brackets
