  1. Not sure what to make of this grave accented JJJ clone, but I already attribute multiple alts to the original, so I think he's the most likely candidate to be impersonating himself.
  2. I was a little unsure of myself diving into a debate about artist merit with SA as my only ally. But I feel like a nice little coalition has come together to stand up and say "no more" to this idea of Swingers as a good movie. #timesup
  3. Are you getting scammed by those TJMaxx bootlegs, or are you #PonyingUp straight from the source?
  4. I do kind of defend those Nikes and think they're cool, but wouldn't wear them and don't really wear athletic shoes casually, so it's not really a cause I'm going to go to war over. I'm just coming from a place of friendship, helping you navigate the murky waters of picking out causal shoes that don't make you look like Turtle from Entourage, don't make you look like you work in a Macy's display styled to look like Cape Cod, and don't look like dad shoes. It's hard out here for a pimp.
  5. I always liked the retro Nike running shoes like the Waffle Racer. You might appreciate that era of Nike more than Jordans or something, as they're less urban, i.e. associated with forgettable whiteness.
  6. I hate those shoes, SA. I pretty much only wear athletic shoes for athletics at this point, but I talk myself into buying Jordans a couple times a year. I've finally just started wearing them to the gym when I'm not doing cardio, because it's literally the only time I will ever wear them. I've chilled out on my boot hoarding a bit, and as the years of dust have settled, an oddly attainable boot has shown itself to be my favorite: a three-figure, made-to-tracing Dayton.
  7. I've actually been struggling with TV placement in the guest bathroom, just because it blocks the view of the guest bathroom shark tank.
  8. Yeah, I hate to shit on a fun theory, but it would be unprecedented for a Christian to go to the lengths of lying to a woman and ruining her life just to lend credibility to an on-going deception. I’m calling this one debunked.
  9. WSOP04 is available in a lot of states.
  10. If you are someplace that allows 7 letters, "KRABLAR" seems to be available anyplace that tells before you apply for it.
  11. I think you're misunderstanding me too. If anything, I think you should have gone harder at him. When a zombie like SA opens himself up for slam dunks about his empty life with a comment like "I must have been busy that day," I expect something more cutting from a trained comedian. My point was that your joke was based on the premise that SA's time was limited or useful, when his entire persona in addition to the the comment you were responding to imply that his time is not valuable to him.
  12. I think you misunderstood SA's point. He wasn't saying the time he has left is precious, he's saying quite the opposite. I can personally attest to how crippling his depression is, and he has money and nothing but medicine and streaming services to spend it on, he'll probably live another 60+ years in hell. I don't mean this to sound like it could be cool or something, but he's basically just walking dead among us, in the saddest and yet least pitiable way possible. Your comeback doesn't fit the context at all. I've got your back, SA buddy.
  13. That Fyre Festival documentary on Netflix is heat.
  14. Re: Loogie, I think the fact that it resonates with you and Cobson speaks at least partially to Strat's point about it being micro-targeted to a specific subculture of aspiring Hollywood entertainer. With that in mind, the movie makes a lot more sense to me as something they made for their friends. I can even appreciate the larger appeal of that kind of voyeurism to some percentage of a more general, outsider population, but it just doesn't work for me on that level either. Re: McGee's point about intent, I think Top Gun is a closer comparison than Fight Club. Fight Club doesn't really wor
  15. cobson/bobson/mcgee/whatever your name is I will humor you and respond since you get an erection with the notion of me even addressing you personally I don't ****ing care who you are or what cornfield you are nursing for your deceased parents. You are just some demented loser with a freakish infatuation with me. I feel sorry for your shitty ass life living in corn country stop begging aim chat-tards for me to unblock you I don't want to know anything about you. I do not want to be your chat buddy or anything resembling a 'friend' because its painfully clear to pretty mu
  16. I kind of agree with this, Swingers just feels gross and problematic to me. I've seen people try to reclaim it critically and present it as satire of the douchey, sexist bar culture that fringe Hollywood actors were surrounded with at the time. But it's not really done carefully enough to play that way, I've heard both male leads describe it fondly as mirroring their lives at the time, without any mention of an artistic point, and the director himself has described the film as a rebellious statement against PC culture or something hacky like that, so I'm just going to take the SA position on t
  17. As much as I disapprove of chain dining, I'm giving this one to SA and Strat, just because I feel like it's disrespectful to Pat's and Geno's and their disgusting cheese sauce. Even the expression "chicken philly" feels like it would ruffle some feathers. Plus, I've never heard of it; places like this and Lion's Choice can remain exotic forever in my mind, because there is no foreseeable circumstance under which I'll ever have to prove that they aren't just knockoff Arby's, which is already inedible.
  18. Breaking news: it appears Layne Flack is alive. I thought Flack had gone the way of Dustin Woolf years ago.
  19. This is sad, but I honestly thought he'd gone the way of Layne Flack years and years ago. I'll lower my Canadian flag to half-mast.
  20. I thought I wanted the blue, but ended up picking the white dial. I definitely appreciate the idea of technically impressive watches, but it's the design that I love about a lot of these German brands. I love the whole German minimalist/Bauhaus thing, but even their modern stuff is great. It makes no sense to me that they got as much text as they did unto the face of this watch without making it too busy or shitty to read.
  21. I love Nomos, that one is dope. I just bought my first, a Zürich World Time.
  22. I think the show works really well. I was worried about Pablo because he comes across as an unlikable geek to so many people, but I think they did a good job of diffusing that by have Bo bully him a little bit.
  23. In ATL growing up, instead of "cross-faded," we said "crunk" or "crunked up." But then Lil Jon blew it up nationally, and it wasn't taken care of. It changed meanings, which is fine, but it was the only word we had for that and it just went away.
  24. Are we including ESPN+? Because Always Late I think is probably the best non-game property at ESPN.
  25. I'll always remember him as someone who drove vintage German sports sedans to and from coked up sex injuries, not for the chain dining and fear of women.
