  2. So you reckon the poker gods are punishing me for playing a shit hand?I never put him on the higher flush...He turns over JJ, board pairs on the river. 22% on the turn... sigh.I can almost guarantee if it were me with the JJ in that spot I would have lost, gah :(I've come up in similar situations quite a few times, where I flop the nut straight against top set and it goes to a showdown, where I lose. I've had a look at the odds, I'm pretty favourite. There's not much you can do right?

I guess I can be thankful I lost $20 and not $200,000 like some of Daniel's beats :club:

  5. yeah my success was shortlived...even though i haven't lost anything from a session, they haven't been the most profitable...i've run into aces with kings at least twice... pretty sicki'm loving these $11 double or nothing sngs though, my rolls almost up to $100...how much do you guys reckon i'd need to try the 0.05/0.10?i'm thinking $200?

  6. looking forward to phil laak and esfandiari... they make the game so funny to watchsammy farha would be cool to see again, or maybe phil hellmuth for the pure comedy factordurrs hand against barrys was sooooo sick.... i felt for durr lolloving this series, can't wait for more

  7. I'm stuck about $240 since I first started in about November. If I knew what I do now back then, I doubt I'd have lost so much, but I'm sure we can all say that about everything.I'm chipping away at it slowly though, I'm sure I'll make it eventually.Would you guys say that it's better to bank first, or try and increase your bankroll and then bank...? So far I've opted for the former, trying to bank in $50 chunks, leaving myself with $30 or so to rebuild my roll.

  8. Just like to share my success at micro stakes tables...Started off on the $0.02/0.04 tables, 4 tables, only a brief 45 minute session but I walked away with respectable profit. Nothing too big, but a small win is better than a large loss in my books :)When I first started I made the mistake of playing cash games out of my bank roll, then I discovered sit n go's.I've been doing ok at the sit n go's, but I thought I'd give the micro stake multi table approach ago, and so far I'm pleased with the results.Basically I'd just like to share my small win with you guys and hopefully I'll be on my way to starting up a serious bank roll and breaking even :club:

  10. :)Surprisingly I feel better :DI found this hand history thing - saves me typing out my painful loss. And I just found out that the other guy flopped a straight too, we both had the same hand and that lucker ARGHHHH!!!!

  11. Sorry if you're not supposed to post about these or there is a specific place to talk about them but I am pretty pissed off and I need to vent...$0.25/0.10 blindsI'm dealt 6s 5s, suited connectors, figure I'll post my blind. 3 people in the hand.Flop comes 7s 3d 4h.I flopped a straight yey.Checked round to me, figure I'll put out a small bet. Minimum bet $0.25. Raised to $0.50, call, I re-raise to $1.50. Re-raised to $3.00, call, I re-raise to $6.00.Ends up every all in, with about $75 in the pot.Turn comes Ace, Ace on the river. One of them turns over pocket 7's.Ergh.... I'm still so cheesed off. There was nothing else I could do and I don't think anyone would have layed down top set, so I guess I just got unlucky...The most annoying thing about it was the guy/girl was like, "Knew I'd get you" as if to say they played it well - they got lucky <_<Glad I've got that out of my system.
