  1. Dang, completely forgot about these. They do clear VERY easily at almost any limit, although full ring traffic is light. I just cleared Martin's last week and used it as an opportunity to drop down a limit and work on my sh play.FYI ... PT already supports B2B but you need a (free) add-on program to capture the hand histories.
  2. even with rakeback and bonuses, which are significant, i think you need to carefully consider whether the horrible game quality at absolute makes up for what you are giving up by not playing at party for instance. That, and when Absolute changed their rake structure a month or so ago it decimated the traffic at 2/4.
  3. So I just found out that my bride's boss is sending her to Vegas for a week at the end of Feb./beginning of March for seminars and conferences and that I was welcome to go, all I have to do is buy the plane ticket. Done. Didn't have to think about that one for very long.So ... routine first-timer questions ... Poker related:- what casinos have the juiciest low limit tables (we'll be staying at the MGM)?- any one place to avoid like the plague for any particular reason?Non-poker related:- any restaurants that are a must-eat that won't break the bank?- any FCP'ers going to be in the area the l
  4. I like it. I was in this exact same situation earlier today and checked, only to have happen exactly what you said you don't want happening. LP bet, SB raised, and I'm stuck with a tough decision. I don't want to be put to tough decisions as often as I want to put others to tough decisions.EDIT: Furthermore, if, in the long run, this type of play falls into the "too cute" category, I'd still rather be too cute on the flop for a coupla small bets then try and get cute on the turn for a coupla BB's.
  5. Small sample on villian ... 44/9/.7 in that small sample ...Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converterPreflop: JackJack is MP1 with [Js], [Jh]. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, JackJack raises, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls.Flop: (8.50 SB) [5h], [Ks], [Th] (4 players)BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, JackJack bets, BB folds, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls.Turn: (5.75 BB) [Kd] (3 players)UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, JackJack bets, UTG calls, UTG+1 folds.River: (7.75 BB) [5s] (2 players)UTG checks, JackJack bets . . .I'm probably folding to a check/raise but figure I'll get called by a naked ace with two
  6. Where do they let you buy in for $40, for one, second of all, I lose $40 playing a flush draw properly. You need to sit with much, much more next time you go, if you want to play TAG poker.ZachAt my B&M the min buy in at 3/6 is 30 bucks. At 15/30 it's 150. At 20/40 it's 200 and so on.Wow, it's 10x the BB here. I just thought Party Poker was screwed up.How the hell do you play half decent poker with 5 BB?You don't. That's the beauty of it.Turning Stone is the same way ... $30 min. at 3/6 ... $50 min. at 5/10. It encourages the random "shades and hoody" kids to take shots after "getting
  7. Abba ... on the bonuswhores website, in the upper left column on the front page, click on "Bonus Grid" (if you haven't done this already). This gives you a page with a lineup of all the sites they review, with clearance rates sortable by limit. Personally, I prefer high clearance rate to huge bonus size. For example, the Crypto monthly reloads all clear at close to $9 per hour per table. But there's only about $260/mo. at those sites. I like reloads at the usual suspects (Party, Empire, Stars, Paradise) when they offer them, and they all clear very quickly at 2/4 and above. As for the sites
  8. Hey Steve, glad you revived this thread. I'm wondering if you'd care to elaborate on your above comment. Too loose in spots? Too tight? Overly aggressive in others? Always appreciate your insight.Leaf - Yeah, I'm not Steve, and yes, my comments on limit are usually to be ignored.. BUT I found their preflop chart far too loose. No, no, not at all. Appreciate the feedback.
  9. Just a checkup ...I don't have a meaningful number of hands on any of the villians so no reads, but the whole table was very loose ... about 37/6 table average.Pacific Poker 3/6 (8 handed)Preflop: Leaf is CO with [Qc], [Qd]2 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 raises SB calls (3-cold), BB calls (2 cold), limper calls (2 cold), raiser calls.Flop: [Ks], [Qh], [5h]SB checks, BB bets, 3 calls.-----> Anyone wait for the turn to raise this on the coordinated board?Turn: [7d]Check, check, check, Leaf bets, all call.River: [Ah]Check, check, check, Leaf ...?The straight got there, the flush got there, possible ov

  11. Sure. Never been there but I know where it is. Farthest North I've been (in NY) is the Ogdensburg/Massena area.I'm near Ithaca, so I'm not that far upstate. But hell ... anything north of White Plains is "upstate" for most people!
  12. If you go into the "Layout Manager" in HUD you'll see a pulldown list on the upper left side which lets you customize what stats are displayed. One of your choices is "(Player) Icon". Choose this and check the box next to the pull-down list that says "Visible" to make the icon visible in your layout. These are the standard PokerTracker icons for any given player.
  13. Move this post if you absolutely must, but I'm posting this in strat on purpose because this is really the group I'm talking to ... if ya get my drift.I just wanted to take the time to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and best wishes for a fabulous 2006, in poker, but especially in life. It's the regulars on this forum that have made this my favorite poker related website, and to all of you I truly wish nothing but the best! Now go tip a glass to another year in the books!Leaf -
  14. Maybe it's Lori ... how sweet would that be??EDIT: Stupid double post ... mah bayad ...
  15. Quote of the night so far (and there've been quite a few):DN: "man I play so good ... one day kid, I'll teach you and won't charge you 50k"
  16. Seeing much more trapping and there was a great value raise with second pair a while ago (DN had Q4) that I never would have picked up on.
  17. DN has definitely kicked it up a notch tonight. Good to see.
  18. Ithaca College grad ... so it's gotta be half-way decent.(The wife made me say that ...)
  19. Just swingin' around with DN in the 1-teens and doucheclown in the 220's ...
  20. Heh ... I'll never complain about "swinginess" again.
  21. Nah ... just end of year sluggishness I'd expect.
  22. Same to you my friend. And all the best in '06!
  23. After a 2001 lawsuit MasterCard stopped letting U.S. customers deposit to gambling sites.Neteller acts like an online bank account so there are no such similar restrictions. If you plan on playing online much, I think Neteller is a must, for convenience sake.
