That I don't know. Guess there's only one way to find out! :-) Poker Room offers 30% up to $200, and that's supposed to be pretty easy to clear. And I forgot to mention earlier that Bodog offers a bottomless bonus. Yep, 100% of whatever you put in. The catch is that it's a pain in the a$$ to work off because you have to contribute money to the pot in a raked hand in order to earn points. That, and site traffic isn't huge. On the other hand, with a large enough deposit, playing some of the higher limits, it might be worth it, it would just take a lot of time. More food for thought.

It is only a re-buy if you go bust first, hence the re-buying-in. If you still have chips it's an add-on.

I think your friend must have been playing NL. The T.S. has always charged a half hour timed rake at the NL tables. As of a week and a half ago (the last time I was there), it was still $3 rake per pot over $10 at the low limit tables.

Amen! This is true of any skill based, performance oriented endeavor from poker, to daytrading the markets, to golf. That last analogy is a good one to use since this is Masters weekend. I decided to do this bonus, for gits and shiggles, and am still in the process of working it off. Here's what I'm seeing so far:The upside ... they give you the bonus within a day or two of your starting to play, so you actually would have the full $200 to play with at the tables. Software is easy on the eyes and very fast. Play is relatively soft (it's not party poker, but then what is?). There poker room is very nice. I try to make it there twice a month. Weekends are jam packed, a lot less crowded during the week, especially early in the day. Late afternoons start to get busy but weekends are where the real insanity lies in terms of crowds. They run a $1/$3 spread limit, as well as $3/$6, $5/$10, $10/$20, $15/$30, $20/$40 and $30/$60 limits for hold 'em. They also have a number of NL tables starting at $100 max buy-in. When you phrase it like that, it'd kind of depressing. That's a whole lot of hours for 10,000. First of all, congrats! I'm getting married in November and my fiance and I are also doing all the planning so I know how much fun/not fun/fun/not fun it is! If you can handle country (some people just can't) a couple of faves of mine for this kind of occasion are "I Do" by Paul Brandt, and "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts.
