  1. There are very few mixed games going on in Vegas, unfortuantely.Aladdin used to run a 5/10 HORSE and 2-7 every Thursday, but they no longer do that. There is a regular 40-80 game at Wynn now. It's the Bellagio game that moved over to the WYnn (A common occurence lately). They play Omaha/8, Stud high-low no qualifer and 2-7.The Wynn also goes in spurts with it's 5/10 PL mixed game. Sometimes it'll go for 2 weeks straight and then be non-existant for a month or two.Oh andyes, MGM has had a 4-8 HORSE game from time to time. Not a lot of time though. And I've heard of one over at Tuscany of all
  2. Rumor has it that Doyle and Chip are the 'poker ambasadors' at the new Venetian poker room opening up on April 2.If they have to play exclusively at the Venetian, then I would assume that the big game would naturally migrate over to the Venetian. Just a guess.mc
  3. Sorry to hear about your loss.mc
  4. Found this quote from Kenna James on a poker forum at Bluff Magazine:As to the goals part...I didn't have any. Pretty much I just fly by the seat of my pants. Always have and probably always will. My bankroll was whatever I had in my pocket more times then not. Maybe not the best way to do it but it sure made it interesting.discuss...mcwww.mikecunningham.blogspot.com
  5. Hold on. Schnoodle_C said: That being said, I am glad he is looking into poker related jobs to supliment his income. So, I haven't lost hope for him to land on his feet. I don't have to land on my feet, I'm on them. Contrary to popular belief, I do make a living playing poker. This is all I do. This is all I have done for almost six months now. (Six months is at the end of this month).I eat from the money I make playing poker, I pay the rent from poker, pay taxes, pay for entertainment (movies not hookers!) from poker. That's all I do.The reason I want to be a floor supervisor in a poke

  7. Now I'm not on here to defend what I did. Maybe to explain it and to answer some of the questions that have arisen from it.Someone on my blog commented that I should take a shot at the big game when I see that it is soft and I have an edge. I did that. O'neil's game is great for mine. I sat down as long as he was going to be in the game. When he got up, I got up.Someone mentioned what happens when you have AA and someone else has KK and they spike a K on the flop and you lose it all? What happens? I go back exclusively to the low no limit games and rebuild. I AM NOT AFRAID TO GO BROKE
  8. It's a difficult thing to understand if you aren't sitting in my shoes. I fully admit that what I did wasn't very smart, but I also admit (to myself) that to be the best you sometimes have to put your neck on the line.Read Professor, banker, suicide king, and find out how Ted Forrest did it to play Andy Beal. You have to take risks in this profession. It's part of the profession no matter what anyone says.In regards to $10k being a little low, that's not my whole bankroll. I distort the figures a little b/c I don't want anyone knowing exactly what kind of money I have (or don't have haha).
  9. Not that I'm some big Moneymaker fan, but if you want to see luck in winning a WSOP main event, go watch Ferguson and Cloutier battle it out. Jesus must have gotten his money in as a big dog at least 6 times and either split the pot or won the last one.Now that was one lucky mo fo.www.mikecunningham.blogspot.commcpoker.usmc
  10. Thanks wandigo. I just saw this thread and of course, thought of me!www.mikecunningham.blogspot.commc
  11. Someone asked why they are playing at the Wynn and not the Bellagio. One of the dealers told me that Steve Wynn and Andy Beal are life long friends.mcpoker.uswww.mikecunningham.blogspot.commc
  12. I just got home from playing at the Wynn all day. I was in a great 5/10 Pot Limit Dealer's choice game on table 5.The Beal/Brunson game was on Table 2. so I was kitty corner to the game. They were using 25,000 dollar chips. Each rack is worth 2.5 million and each stack is worth 500,000.This is NOT a private game. the Nevada Gaming Commission does not allow private games. ANYONE can sit down as long as they have the minimum buy in. Oh the minimum buy in for this 25,000/50,000 blind Limit HOld em game is 10 MILLION.I personally saw Beal with over 12.5 million in front of him. Todd Brunso
  13. As always there's mine which is forming a cult following:www.mikecunningham.blogspot.com
  14. Great suggestions by most. I will add that Wynn has a $500 tourney on Friday as well as their $300 tourney's on Tues through Thurs. Also, Caesar's is having a $2000 tourney on new Year's Eve with Nicky Hilton, Jennifer Tilly, and other pros.I knwo it's more than $1000 but just throwing it out there for an idea.mcwww.mikecunningham.blogspot.com
  15. I didn't read all the responses, but if you are curious to find out what happens when someone quits their job and does this full time, you can check out my blog at www.mikecunningham.blogspot.com
  16. I was in the Plaza tonight. They have a private room and would do a tournament for us. They charge their normal tournament fee (+$10). If there are enough people interested (at least 20), I will call and schedule the tournament. I was thinking either Dec. 23 or Dec. 26. Let's say 7pm. How about a $50 +$10?Maybe we can get a moderator to make this a sticky. If you would be interested, let me know through this message and if you have any suggestions as well.If there is enough response throughout this weekend, I'll make the arrangements on Monday.mcwww.mikecunningham.blogspot.com
  17. If there are a ton of people coming in there are several casinos (Bally's and Tuscany off the top of my head) that will do tournaments for a group. You can count me in. Also, maybe we could get a surprise visit from DN as well.www.mikecunningham.blogspot.com
  18. I use pokercharts. They used to be free, but now charge a whopping $20 a year. If you are serious about poker then $20 isn't much to really help your understanding of your game.www.pokercharts.com is definitely the website for it. Check it out. They have a ton of options including tournament play and cash play. Very user friendly.mcpokerwww.mikecunningham.blogspot.com

  20. I wanted to make sure that everyone read my latest entry to my blog. Since most of you read my really bad entry, it is important to me that you all read this really good entry.I thank each and everyone one of you who emailed me, posted on my blog, and posted on this website in support of me. It meant a lot and was extremely helpful.I started the blog to be real to share my expereiences of going pro. I extremely appreciate Dan N.'s blog and showign the big time going pro story, so I wanted to show the not so big time, grinder mentality of going pro. With that comes good and bad times. That
  21. Surprisingly my favorite blog is my own.www.mikecunningham.blogspot.com
  22. Ok, I tried in vane to read all the post in this topic to make sure that my comments haven't been posted yet, but I stopped after everyone started ripping on majorleag and got off topic.I play full time at the Wynn. It was my big misfortune to be playing at the Bellagio instead of the Wynn when Danial was there last night.Someone posted earlier that if some unknown person sat down with that much money everone woudl be talking about how juicy the game is/was. That's very true.My first week at teh Wynn someone sat down with $30k at the 1/3 NL table. There was a list a mile long to get into the
  23. That's not true. There are a few places that have single table tournaments. I suggest you check out allvegaspoker.com before you come out here.
  24. Anyone know of any stud in Vegas? I know and have played in the 20/40 game at Bellagio but am looking more for a regular 10/20 game. The Wynn also has been getting a regular 10/20 horse game.ANy help would be appreciated.
  25. SI did mention me for a short second on the SI on campus edition. If you go to http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ...us.blitz/1.html and look halfway down the page, you will see it.
