  1. looked like it, i only saw the last 1/2 of the match but the hand that ended it should have doubled Jorge upAny idea how much they're playing for?
  2. any idea who twin-caracas is? My friend is playing him right now.
  3. 1,000 is not that much anyway. Once and a while a friend of mine who is actually, you know, good, will sit at the .50/1 table i'm playing with like 20,000 and then raise every hand every street just to see what happens
  4. You think I should have raised AT out of the BB there?

  6. While I agree with everybody about the potential dangers of piggybacking on a wireless network I'd say that you should just go ahead and do so for a couple of days until you get your internet hooked up. I've used neighbors wireless connections a number of times and had no problems. That said it is illegal and is unethical and has other potential problems, so it's all up to what you're comfortable with really.
  7. I disagree that playing the 4 person matches is -EV. Here is my math to justify it, but who knows, maybe I'm thinking about it all wrong.Assume that you have a 70% of winning any given HU match at a certain level. (right around the % you have to have to be making money HU)Assuming you play 10 times straight HU at the $5 level your profit loss will look like thisInvestment: $5.25 x 10 = $52.50Return: 70% x 10 = 7 so you win 7 times out of 10 7 x $10 = $70.00 3 x $0 = $0.00 You're total profit is $70.00 - $52.50 = $17.50Now lets assume that you play 10 4 person matc
  8. I'm trying to get more into PL hold'em and I was hoping somebody could clue me in on what some of the bigger changes to my game should be. Especially how it plays as opposed to NL.
  9. Thanks for the replies. My biggest mistake tends to be that I'll get a caller w/ a similar stack pre-flop. Then I fire a pot sized or 3/4 pot sized bet at the flop and my opponent goes in which puts me in a tough spot just because when the blinds are big enough you're really leaving yourself short stacked then if you fold (although you pretty much have to because it's a slim chance you're still ahead if you ever were). Also I think I've been playing too aggressively with it in late position and re-raiseing with it when I should just be called and seeing a flop. I'm playing twice tonight so ho
  10. Lately I've been having a lot of trouble playing AK in tournaments. My biggest problem tends to be in late/middle stages when the blinds are really starting to catch up to your stacks. I just always seem to get over invested with this hand. Does anybody have suggestions or maybe hands they have played with AK. If I remember I'll try and get a HH of an AK i've played like a donk to talk about. Thanks.
  11. does anybody know what the best guarantee tournaments are? AKA which ones have the biggest short falls in # of players vs. prize pool?
  12. Im just going to repeat what's already been said, but low level SnG's are CRUSHABLE. Move off party if you can't play the all in fest and play low level at stars or UB, the players are just as bad but you get enough chips/time to play with so you can do a lot post-flop. You'll have up and downs, but you can destroy these games. I'm coming off a 12 straight SnG win streak at stars right now.
  13. I'm up to like 25,000 now, doubled up through the table chip leader.
  14. yeah, i'm in it, sitting on a little over 12000. table 43. I didn't have to rebuy for once, just the add-on.
  15. I recently started playing the tournaments w/ rebuys on Party and I was wondering if anybody had an idea about what the best strategy was for adding on. Should you do it everytime since many/most will do so? Or only if not adding on would leave you at or below average? Any ideas/theories?
  16. Are they really not showing ANY other games than hold'em? That's really disappointing.
  17. I'm sure the flow will come back after a few episodes, but I liked the long burn of fox in the begining about all the crappy shows they tried to fill the slot with since getting rid of family guy
  18. It was friggen sweet. American Dad still sucks ass though.
  19. I agree that you throw the A-9 in the muck pre-flop. This isn't the hand to break the raisers hand with. For starters you might be a huge dog if he has AT-AA. Then even if the raisers has a JJ, QQ, or KK you're a pretty significant underdog. Based on those possible hands the only ones that don't have you completely ****ed after that flop are JJ and QQ. If you're going to try and break a player like that I'd be more likely to try it with a middle suited connecter (76-JT) where I can make a more sneaky hand that might give him an overpair to whatever I get. Thatway if I get 2pr, trips, a straigh
  20. Have you seen PP's new step tourny's? They're insane. A 15,000 buy in 'step higher'? That's nuts. I'm curious to see how often one of those gets together.
  21. I just got delt rolled up J's twice in 6 hands. What are the odds of that! Too bad the first time I lost a 90 pot to rolled up 3's that managed to fill.
  22. I'd really like to play but can somebody work out a pstars/fulltilt exchange so I can have some money on that site? just IM me at Eagle15C if you can. Thanks!
  23. Stud, NLHE, LHE, 2-7 Triple Draw, Razz, Stud Hi/Lo --> all Omaha games but only because I don't know how to play it really. Stud is great, and online players suck at it.
  24. All the casinos I've been to in Michigan they pool all the tips from all the table games and everybody gets a cut. Soaring Eagle, Turtle Creek and Leelanau Sands
  25. Playing really crazy like that won't hold up in the long run, but you can take a huge upswing. I was playing $.50/$1.00 on party and one of my friends who is a semi-pro sat down at my table with $6,000 or so just to be a dick. He promptly capped every hand irregardless of his holding. In the 15 minutes or so that he was there he had made more big bets then I had my entire session. Of course all of that had to do with getting pretty decent cards in that time, but in the short run you can run up a huge profit if you get winning hands.
