  1. Upon reflection even when having a steady squeeze in my 20s I don't know if I could honestly say we banged every day, at least not for an extended period.
  2. Daily? You way over shot the available runway with that kind of guess. 2-3 times per week would probably land squarely on side of the over.
  3. He wants to be the goddamned COO. Have you not been paying attention??? Jeez. Strat please re-listen to the solutions to a stalled technical career cast a few more times. Learn it. Know it. Live it. I felt like you were making great progress and then the frustrations took over and you shit the bed.
  4. Strat, If you had a check list of job duties for your role and check list of job duties for your direct supervisor's role (what's that title btw?) how close are you to being able to say you're doing 100% of your duties, including any temporary special projects that come your way, as well as 50% of the duties that your boss is responsible for?
  5. Yes, while the villain's end goal was basically the same in both universes, the means to achieve that goal differed greatly between the movie and the GN. SPOILERS ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ In the GN the Veidt labs create a creature and let it loose in NYC to kill a bunch of people. Ozymandias does this to pull the USSR and US from the brink of nuclear exchange to unite the world against the "interdimensional attackers." In the movie, Ozymandias detonates a bunch of reactors and mimics the radiation signature of Dr. Manhattan who has
  6. Direct boss has been at a conference all week, was back in the office today. Today was my least productive day this week in terms of moving the ball forward on any of my projects/tasks/deliverables. I really hope correlation isn't part of causation but, in my gut, I don't think that's the case.
  7. Basically they monitor your 401k and look to optimize (diversification, rebalancing, fee monitoring etc.) based your responses to their risk/goal retirement questionnaire for $10/mo. https://www.blooom.com/philosophy/
  8. Strat, forgive me if I've asked this before but what's your take on blooom for us lay folks?
  9. This time of year always sucks for me. My allergies ramp up into 5th gear and so I feel not necessarily sick but in that phase where you feel like you're coming down with something only for weeks at a time. About 70% of the time I end up with a gnarly sinus infection somewhere between late September and mid-October. While I don't have that this year I just constantly fell run down, have a runny nose and slight cough most days from sinuses draining. Sorry you're under the weather naps, that was my lame attempt to commiserate.
  10. Would you plunk down €25k to play in a tournament knowing that the casino owner was also in the tournament? A) Absolutely fine. After all, casino owners are renowned for their honesty and straight forward dealings. 2) No last) **** no. -edit Does it change your answer if the location of the casino is in Eastern Europe?
  11. From 19 and 31 to a NLCS sweep. Cinderella story
  12. What the **** was that? He ate my chicken!
  13. is the goddamn ****ing shitbag douchenozzle swear filter broken? this has been a test
  14. I got bored with it. Danny McBride's shtick has worn thin for me. It was predictable and not all that funny during the couple of episodes I watched.
  15. Joker. I really enjoyed it. There's a scene that I kind of suspect was intended to be, or at least I interpreted as, a litmus test to see if the audience "got it" or not. I think anyone who laughed, which sounded like about 90% of the audience, did not get the point of the movie. I wish they would have been a little more subtle in some spots with the unreliable narrator but I really enjoyed JP's performance.
  16. I can't verify that so I hope you're telling the truth. I don't think my heart could take someone bearing false witness when claiming to adore my #content.
  17. totally anonymous validation < validation from anonymous screen names
  18. I've been watching Succession. Cringey, super rich assholes are entertaining. The cinematographer, make up, and costumers all deserve Emmy's just for making Sarah Snook so frequently look so bangable because many of her google image search hits are yeeesh.
  19. Glad it's finally playoff season, I can start watching baseball with a decent level of interest.
