I am sorry I posted and asked. I had the top set and knew from his previous play he would call.I lose to the ONLY card he can get. Them's the breaks. I know Eddie in your eyes I misplay all my hands. I wonder what your track record is?Maybe you do misplay all your hands. You misplayed this one pretty poorly. There is very little you are getting called by here, and you got beat by a 1 outer. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, advance directly to the Bad Beat Forum. And I'm not sure about Eddie's track record, but you can get into that argument with me, and You Will Lose I guarantee you

Raise more preflop is the only intelligent comment thus far, if I do maybe he folds right then and there, but it is also dangerous to put too much money in with middle pairs.Again I don't think I overbet the turn as I wanted him to fold, or call but have it be expensive to do soI was ahead pre-flop, flop, and turn.I lost that's the way it goes. He has 1 card to save him.I appreciate your comments, and opinion but since I was at that particular table at that time I stand by my firm belief that I was destined to lose that hand no matter how I played it and still feel I played it correctly.

Lastly, tell you why I disagree with all the assesments. It is much better to take a pot down that maybe smaller than what you might make then to get greedy and lose a big pot.At the turn it was very, very clear he had a set or pocket aces, kings or some other pocket pair.I am not going to slow down and give him a chance if he has a higher pocket pair to make a cheap higher set.I was happy if he folds or calls at that point. So the play was right based upon that thinking. Didn't work out but again only one card beats me, he caught it, good for him.I would play it the same damn way each god damn

Since apparently most of you have come to the conclusion that I am the worst player out there please critique the hand below and tell me how/if I could have played this better.I am being partly sarcastic but also serious.PokerStars Game #2442249970: Tournament #11525894, Hold'em No Limit - Level II (15/30) - 2005/08/28 - 11:57:54 (ET)Table '11525894 28' Seat #2 is the buttonSeat 1: majorleag (5145 in chips) Seat 2: gamblemoore (3405 in chips) Seat 3: DRILHER (1260 in chips) Seat 4: acesover8s (1690 in chips) Seat 5: bacdoc33 (1440 in chips) Seat 6: Texas Joe (2185 in chips) Seat 7: superman2 (

Just connect your PSP via the USB cable and go to www.us.playstation.com/psp and you can download it to your pc and then install via the cable.I did it that way and it works great and is very easy to do.

dumbest comment ever made after being trapped?
majorleag replied to majorleag's topic in General Poker Forum
Exactly. That's why you raise more than the minimum. If he's going to call a 400 chip raise he'll probably call at least a 600-800 chip raise given the pot size at that pointYou maybe right, maybe I could have gotten a few more from him, I was happy with that outcome though and I took him and everybody else out to win shortly thereafter. The issue was just how goofy his comment was to save face, that's all. Apparently you had to be there cause nobody else finds it funny.I did though, and still do. Nobody, but nobody puts more money in to a pot that they know/believe they will lose. -
Yeah I know you could and I did that, but thought it sucked. This is still not perfect but is pretty awesome for what it is, and you can do quite a bit more.

dumbest comment ever made after being trapped?

First the question was not about my play but his comment, but read my last post. You are completely incorrrect. I maximized the amount of chips I could get by allowing him to catch up and then by check raising him.Since you are so confident that I played it awful, tell me genius, if you had flopped the nearly nut full house, how would you have played it?By going all in and scaring everybody off? I want to learn how to play this game so please, oh please tell me how that would have been a better play? -

I would have to respectfully disagree wiith you here. I was not completely certain that he had a strong enough hand that he woud call if I go all in for example.I was however pretty sure that he would call my raise, so I am confident that I maximized the amount of chips that I could get out of that situation. -

If you are searching for a point, then you need not look any futher than the top of your head!!It is just funny that after betting and being trapped, he feels the urge to safe face by saying I thought you had it.Hell no you didn't think, I had it cause if you did you would check your nut flush and take your lumps versus putting more money in.That's all, most people will find that to be funny. At least people with a pulse and a sense of humor! Well, I think I have a very good sense of humor and pretty sure I have a pulse, however, I would have to disagree with you. Not funny. Sorry. To each his -

After I give this guy a free card on the river by checking to him, he bets with the flush and I come back over the top. After he calls and loses he says "I thought you had it" I asked him "Just out of curiosity if you thought I had it why would you bet on the end when I gave you a free card?" No response.I just found that comment to be very, very amusing!PokerStars Game #2434282548: Tournament #11808652, Hold'em No Limit - Level I (10/20) - 2005/08/27 - 11:20:04 (ET)Table '11808652 1' Seat #9 is the buttonSeat 1: Da Toothpick (1400 in chips) Seat 4: majorleag (2774 in chips) Seat 5: raiderb

For any of you, video gamers who have a PSP, it's worth downloading the new 2.0 software update. It turns in to a fully functioning web browser.

I know that this will be very hard to believe, but I actually do have a life outside of Poker and this fine, fine forum. Therefore the Death's Family Crest mystery will have to wait until possibly Monday. I might get ambitious and try and go to a library or something this weekend to find out.Of course if you believe that, then I would like to make you an offer you can't refuse!Since it is within the rules to use technology to solve the mystery of Smasharoo, I may continue that quest this weekend, but it may cut into my family and Poker time so probably not.Soon Smash soon!Tempus Fugit

No I realize that there are more than likely more than one Smasharoo, however you have a certain style, shall we say flair for the written word.It is not easily disguised and I have seen other writings elsewhere that if they are not your poetic handiwork then you my friend have a doppelganger! The game is afoot!

No Nikki, sorry to be confusing, I am good at that. I was actually referring to a post long ago from Smash that had some info.He actually participates in many forums. My guess is his total lifetime post count is somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 billion!I am truly impressed, cause I have no fucking clue how he is able to write novels, play poker, and post 24/7.What a machine!!!!Actually Smash's picture was even online at one time but he managed to get that excised. Can't even find it using the wayback machine. Impressive indeed. Smash is not quite off the grid, but pretty close for a gu

No he is dead too! Besides his Romance novels weren't as good as yours!
-
I assume it is supposedly what you posted previously.
-
Well you are definitely NOT Jennifer Wilde as he/she is dead, and from your 7,000 plus posts, I can only assume that you sir are very much alive. The hunt continues!
-
No my guess is she no longer works here, Her name is not familar to me and I checked the company directory and don't find her.
-
Yes you are right many, many books but you have left enough clues that it is only a matter of time my friend. Of course not that I expect you to confirm it when I discover it, but I won't need you to because I will know when I do.See if any of these ring a bell:Jennifer Wilde = Tom HuffStephanie Blake = Jack PearlPamela South = Donald BainChristina Savage = Kerry NewcombShana Carrol = Kerry Newcomb with Frank SchaeferSmasharoo = one of those above ?, someone else entirely?, time will tell!
