  1. No believe me I am glad he did what he did as it saved me some dough. I did ask him why and he claims that he had been playing another tourney and was distracted. While I certainly can buy that arguement as I have made stupid mistakes for the same reason myself, I can tell you with 100% certainty that:If I am in more than one tourney and one of them I have pocket kings, in that's the one that I will be paying the most attention to at the moment.Unless of course I have pocket Aces in the other! lolSeriously though I would imagine that kings, and then flopping the near nuts should kinda get your
  2. How did you end up doing last night Ron?God some of the people playing last night reminded me of me 18 months ago.Wait on second thought they reminded me of me pretty much anytime!Very painful night last night, but at least I had Ron to keep me warm, if you know what I mean! Oh that's right we were talking about Poker video games. I think/hope Stacked will be THE game that not only casual players can play but that poker players will appreciate. It is curently scheduled to ship October 11th on PS2, Xbox, and PC, with the PSP version shipping on October 25th. Means you should see it on y
  3. LOL, that was the first thing that came to mind when I read the flop. Its funny how others criticize play, yet can't recognize the simple nuts.My original post does point out that he has the nuts on the flop unless one of us is holding 8's.But let's face it while possible it is not too likely that we are holding 8's. He got no money where as if he let's me in cheap and I hit an Ace on the turn I pay him some more.yes but even pocket 8's arent the stone cold nuts.runner runner Qh and 10h when someone holds Ah J h. or along those linesOf course anything can happen on the turn and river. I gue

  5. I did put in my original post that if someone is holding 2 8's they have the nuts.I think my point was pretty clear but whatever.
  6. Is this not a great example of the worst way to play a flopped full house? This is the first time I have used the converter, so be gentle with me if I have not done it right (except you Ron, or Royal, you can give it me rough as you like)PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (9 handed) convertermajorleag (t1250)UTG+1 (t1220)MP1 (t2110)MP2 (t885)MP3 (t1625)CO (t1705)Button (t1255)SB (t2110)BB (t1340)Preflop: majorleag is UTG with [As], [Jd]. majorleag calls t30, 1 fold, BB calls t30, majorleag calls t30. 7. God I pray for his sake that he really has been reading this site and is kidding!God himself can't help him if not.
  8. You are killing me!!!Time to take my nice leisurely 1 and 1/4 hour commute home! I will probably foolishly be at the tables tonight so I may see some more witty reparte!Otherwise I am sure it will be waiting for me in the am.
  9. I have seen many, many strange boards like we all have, quads, etc.The strangest though that I remember and really only because of the way it fell was and the suits I don't remember and aren't relevant:5, 6, 5, 6, 5One guy is all elated because he assumes a chop until the other guy turns over aces.Just strange to have it come out alternating like that to put the boat on the board. This was in a B&M casino.
  10. ROFLMAO!Today has been a very rough day at work, so that helped, very funny thanks.Yeah believe me I know that a donkey with really cool, big monitors and a quick pc is simply a donkey with better equipment! It was just really, really bad timing to have already registered for 4 tournies and then have the power decide that, hey this would be a great time to for me to give it a rest.To show how frustrated I was and really wasn't thinking, after the minutes tick by and then they turn to a half hour, hour, etc., the little light bulb above my head goes on all cartoon like.Hmmmm I have a laptop from
  11. Believe me I will take any advice I can get.Sometimes I don't see the obvious, the hidden or anything else! One of my biggest issues which is really a quick fix is playing too many tables with equipment that is not really the best for the job.Yesterday, I totally screwed up the DN tourney which I really wanted to make a decent showing with because I was trying to get 4 stinking tables back up after the nearly 3 hour power outage.I need a bigger monitor, and or monitors and a better pc to really be able to play more then 2-3 at a time.Of course if the power hadn't gone out and blinded me out of
  12. Pogue,Thanks for the feedback, I truly do appreciate it. I assure you though that it really depends on many variables and I rarely if ever play the same hand the same way. If I am in early position for example and want to weed a few people out especially for example if I have kings and don't want to run in to a weak Ace that someone plays cheap I will definitely bet 3 or 4 times the BB, maybe more.If I want more action I may just make a little goofy 2 times bet.It really depends, but I do mix it up, it may not seem that way from what you saw but I do.
  13. ok I was definitely under the impression that patent attorneys made less than regular attorneys. I will trust you though.Mea culpa. Most attorney's of any kind work on billable hours and while I don't know what every attorney makes, they make pretty good dough.I have consulted with both Patent and Trademark attorney's and I can tell you that even for a Junior partner, low on the totem pole you will pay $250-$300 per hour.I think Raymer would have had to be making 6 figures easy. Just my opinion.
  14. No I believe the source was his brother:Incredible!
  15. Love your new Avatar! Not that the old one wasn't just as spectacular, this one steps it up a notch.
  16. Found the converter and will use it in the future. Thanks so much for your help and insight Allin. I am so glad that the forum has such helpful and encouraging people like you to help the newer folks with this type of information.Again I am sooooo grateful that you exist and are on this earth.I will thank god daily for blessing me with your prescence.
  17. Wow, another very helpful and insightful reply. My sincere apologies for not making my post clearer, only intelligent people need post a reply.
  18. Cinci,Thanks for the feedback. I am not familar with the converter or I would have used it.I don't see it as an option when creating a post, where is it at.Thanks!
  19. It is a valid question. It really depends. In this particular instance I figured that it would accomplish one of two things or both, get me more callers, thinking that the bet was possibly a blind steal attempt and or get one or more players to go all in and or put me all in.I knew the guy with 5's would push because he had been up and down like a yo-yo and had played some really bad hands. I was pretty sure that with him having to act after my baby raise, odds were pretty good that he would push all in.I accomplished everything that I wanted, except of course the end result. But with Aces,
  20. Come on now, you know Doyle is staking him, and they do have computers and electricity in the Intensive Care Unit!Actually I have seen him playing quite often on PS lately. He was playing with Raymer the other day at two different tables.I think he is going to recover just fine from being broke, and being broke. Financially and by the bus of course! Just in case it isn't obvious, sw.
  21. No, you don't. Really. You don't.Confucious say, "you funny, you funny, funny man"Confucious say, "Crowded elevator smells different to a midget."Stop making me laugh dammit!! I am having a hard enough time concentrating, and for fuck's sake it's late for me and I am tired and I am also out.WTF 2 monster hands, my Ace, 5, but I am the short stack, against his Ace, 7 and of course what does he catch, drum roll please.............Yes that's right ladies and gentleman a 7!!!!So I finish in 24th out of 700 and have absolutely nothing to show for it.Another fucking 3 hours of my life gone, that
  22. No, you don't. Really. You don't.Confucious say, "you funny, you funny, funny man"
  23. Oh Shit what was I thinking? That's why he played that fantastic hand and why I lost! Now it is all very clear to me.Still don't know what the converter is, although I have a speculation as to what it is but:A. I am tired and too lazy to check right now.B. I am still in this fucking quallifier.C. I don't care.D. I don't care.E. I don't care.
  24. I don't spreken your lingidy? What the hell are you talking about?
  25. Yes I know this belongs in the bad beat forum most likely, but I know it will get more eyeballs here and then they will move it.Other than the obvious which I know, that I should have checked on the river, and maybe saved myself the last 8,500, is there anything else that I could/should have done, with this clown playing a King, 3? I thought I bet pretty strong to get rid of him and take this pot down, but he would not go away. I know the last bet on the river was a mistake, since it became pretty damn obvious he was not going away.PokerStars Game #2470098843: Tournament #11808994, Hold'em N
