I dont think there is anyway that you can fold here. If villian shows a flush than take the cooler and move on. Its poker but I cant see any situation that we can fold here.

I have seen worse. AA cracked by 2-5off by runner runner 2's. Playing 2-4nl the other day. Dude called $12pf, $20flop, $45turn, $75river. No draws or nothing.

punching bags are only like $100. Buy one and go to town like I do when I have a losing session

Nut Straight On All Spade Flop
ChuckP replied to trussdude's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
Yeah with all that action before you I would run away from this hand. -
I don't know what else you are looking for on the flop. A rainbow flop with top set. Bet it out and try not to get sucked out on. That is what Omaha is about.
-
This is just a tough spot to be in with AQ. But it's poker and gonna happen every once in a while. Played correctly though. there is no way to know that villian might have AK without a raise.

Cooler City (?) #1 - Aa (live 1/2)

Your an idiot if you think a card room at a casino is rigged -
I am the same way right now. I am playing well but sometimes it just isn't enough. Three hands in a row a couple weeks ago AK, 1010, and 10J. I hit top two with both AK and 10J and hit a set with the tens. Only to get ran down with runner runners to a donk that was calling $60 for a redraw on the turn. I haven't played since. When this happens I just lose interest for a couple weeks and get my mind off of poker. Just take some time off man and clear your head.

You gotta call the for the turn then re-evaluate after.

I have no problem with the fold on the flop and a for sure fold on the turn. People tend to overplay aces and most of the time call huge bets when they know that they are no good. So fold them and live to play more hands.

Sb With Kk In A 5 Way Limped Pot
ChuckP replied to Deftones150's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
You should not ever be thinking for a way out of a hand before you even see the cards. That is ridiculous to even say. With 5 limpers into the pot the odds of your KK holding up are very low. So like everyone else has said. Make it more preflop to $1. Obviously 6-tabling is way too much for you to handle. I would suggest maybe 2 or 3 tabling. 6 is just seems ridiculous for you at this point. -
Cash games and tourneys are completely different. Every player has their strengths. If yours are tournaments that I would advise you to stop giving your money away in cash games and focus on tournaments. While working on your cash game lack of skills. Go buy a poker book on cash games or join PokerVT or Cardrunners. All of these are good tools to develop both styles.

What the hell is the point of this post. You were almost dead and drawing the 3 outs. Nice post though.

Scotty's Behavior At The 50k H.o.r.s.e. Ft
ChuckP replied to Lee_LightsOut_B's topic in General Poker Forum
He was acting like an idiot but rarely acts like that. There are players that act much worse than that on a regular basis. So cut him some slack. The only thing that I didn't like was that he was playing against two very passive players that didn't deserve what they were getting. -
Yeah you got called by a donk and he hit on you. but these are the types of players that you want to play against. so don't be too pissed.

Playing 2 Small Pair Against Overpair?
ChuckP replied to king0fhearts80's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
Don't call preflop with 8-2 unless your in the blinds and its limped. Period. -
I would lead out every time in this situation. Too bad it doesn't happen too often. This is a great board and is inviting villian to make a dumb bluff play on the river. You will get paid off even more on the river if he tries to bluff if you slowly build the pot along the way. He will have to bet more on the river to try and make a convincing bluff and you will have sucked as much out of him as possible.
-
I dont mind the isolation bet if your in a tourney but this is a cash game. It seems just a classic case of overplaying AQ. After the reraise by V2 autofold. There is no way that your AQ is good at the time.
-
Anytime there is two to the flush on the flop and I have top two or a set I never slow play. In the long run when you slowplay this, you are going to get ran down more often than not. There are always going to be drawing hands to this and the turn and river proves this. No doubt about it, bet the flop. If you get raised, reraise. If button has a set than good for him and like pitchers do in baseball after giving up jacks, tip your cap. But there is no getting away from this with top two on the flop. I am going to assume that you lost the hand just by the language you use. But I am pretty sure
-
That is a sick river but why would you not reraise the turn?

Live 500nl Facing River Shove
ChuckP replied to JoblessBast's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
You shouldn't have checked the turn. That was your first mistake. It is very possible he caught up on you and 2 paired. You bet the turn and I am sure you win the pot. -
KK is not a great hand in a 3way pot. The pot itself is big enough for you to be satisfied taking down with a 4xraise. Your odds are terrible in comparison to the other players in the pot to make your hand. So take the pot as is.
-
call the flop and see what happens. I would not call a 1/2 pot or pot bet on turn though. I do not get too involved with draws early in tournaments for a good size of my stack. There is always better spots to get it in.
-
I tend to fold in this spot too. Unless you have some read on SB or your button raises have been reraised a ton by SB. There is always a better spot to get it in.
-
I thought you were just trying to be a smart ass. I ruled them out because villians stack was right about where mine was and had been playing really tight in the later stages of the tourney while looking for a spot to double up. He had been playing only premium hands.
