Players who use small ball want to outplay you post flop. To combat this just shove preflop every time you want to play a hand. They can't outplay you then so you end up outplaying them. Its simple maths.

I seem to have trouble playing hands like this OOP, especially when a hand like what has come up, comes up. Even moreso if I 3 bet it pf, because I feel like I need to take the lead and just bet this flop and turn knowing on the turn that i'm generally behind and I keep c/c the river UI, its definitely a leak in my game. But yeah, I just fold because flatting feels wrong and 3 betting is too aggressive here for me I think. Keep in mind I'm being specific to my SB play here, this hand in the BB is a whole 'nother story.

How often is BB going to bet the flop? If so I like a c/r on the flop then bet the turn. If he flats the flop then raises the turn you're behind and can muck.EDIT: for some reason I read it as BTN raised and hero flatted out of the BB, so the above advice doesn't really stand.If you know he'll bet the turn when checked to then IPITS, otherwise I just bet bet bet.

Lol. This week I plan to **** variance like it owes me money.

So I lost around 200 BB's in the last couple of days and decide that if I have another losing sesh I'm going to take a break, maybe play some NL for a while or something....... Then I jump on today and make 31 BB's in 300 hands. This game is going to send me grey or bald before I'm 25. LHE ... I think.
