  1. I have an ebony fret board on my guitar and bass. Over the years it has got a good amount of "gunk" build up on the board. Anyone have any tips or cleaning solutions they make to get rid of this without damaging the fret board? Thanks

  2. Sorry for not having this converted, my converter site was down and i wanted to post while it was fresh in my head. Is there any justification for 3 betting 3rd street here? Playing with John, i know he can play pretty tight, but before this hand came up, he had seen me complete with a few small up cards and have to fold on 5th street when villains hit some ugly cards. I felt calling him was the right move and i fell victim to fancy play sydrome on 6th street, but donked 3 of a kind on the river, though i did take one of his 6's away on 6th.feral_cow_icon.gifFeral Cow PokerFull Tilt Limit Stud $0.25/$0.50 ante $0.05 - 5 playersSeat 1 Falcone1983: $26.60 [X] [X] 4c.gif Seat 2 StirTheShake: $10.30 [X] [X] Th.gifAs.gif Seat 3 Hero: $11.25 [9s.gif] [3s.gif] 9d.gif8c.gif7h.gif6s.gif [9c.gif] Seat 4 John Cernuto: $6.60 [X] [X] 6h.gif7d.gif5s.gif4s.gif Seat 7 henry starr: $7.55 [X] [X] 8h.gif3rd Street: ($0.25) (5 players)StirTheShake folds, Hero completes it to $0.25, John Cernuto raises to $0.50, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.254th Street: ($1.25) (2 players)Hero checks, John Cernuto bets $0.25, Hero calls $0.255th Street: ($1.75) (2 players)Hero checks, John Cernuto bets $0.50, Hero calls $0.506th Street: ($2.75) (2 players)Hero bets $0.50, John Cernuto calls $0.50River: ($3.75) (2 players)Hero bets $0.50, John Cernuto foldsHero won $3.70(Rake: $0.15)

  3. Recently i started playing online again. Been building my roll from 30 bucks playing 0.02 / 0.05 and have since moved up to 0.25 / 0.50. I am primarily playing stud, but lately, even though i am winning, i feel my line every session is, get big pairs, complete, bet to the end unless something screwy happens, win with two pair on the river. Has anyone run into this? The reason i am concerned is that once i start moving up into 1 / 2 and 2 / 4, this line will no longer work as much as it does now.

  4. THe speed was pretty fast paced. It only slowed down when multiple people went to showdown and they tried to figure out what people had. The dealer kept things moving, but i enjoyed the pace just fine. I played about a 3 hour session, average people to the flop was around 4, but sometimes 7 were in, but alot of people were out on the flop

  5. Well i finally got to play some live Omaha hi/lo in Vegas, thought i would share my experiences. I sat down at the venetian where they regularly run 4 - 8, and 8 - 16 limit games with a half kill (they also spread a 8 - 10 mix game with all the HORSE games plus 2 - 7 triple, Badugi, and PLO if you get enough). The table was 9 seated and was mostly filled with regulars who seem to play every morning. I sat down and proceeded to literally get 4 out scooped the first 4 - 10 hands. Then the following hand came up in a kill pot, sorry there is no converter.BB Hero [ K h 10 h 2c 3 c ]Action: folds to button who raises, small blind folds, hero calls. Heads upFlop: J h Qh 4 c Action: Hero Bets, button raises, hero 3-bets, button callsTurn: A sAction: Hero checks, button bets, hero raises, button 3-bets, Hero 4-betsRiver: 7 dAction: Hero bets, button raises, Hero re-raises, button callsI dont remember how much was in the pot but it put me up a little after the brutal beats. The guy was nice and claimed he had the Ace high flush draw and the second nut low. Guess i got luckyOverall it was fun, about half the table was nice and knew what they were doing, the other half knew the rules and thought they were experts, but played only low hands. If the board came high, one bet would usually take it down for me. Only pet peave was that more than once i had to correct the dealer or player with what the high and low hands were. Other than that i highly recommend the Venetian for Omaha hi/lo. Great cocktail and food service and they treat their players well.

  6. I am heading out to Vegas next week for the tourney as well to play some cards. I am trying to find some other games besides hold em, stud preferred. I heard the mandalay bay spreads alot of stud games. Is this true? What other card rooms spread stud? Thanks

  7. Just finished playing for over an hour. Never took a hand worse than 7432A to the river and lost every hand but one. I lost 6 times with 23456, 5 times with 7432A, and 3 times with 6432A. Stupid poker

  8. Well what happened in the end was seat 3 bet on 7th street and seat 4 folded, which through me through a loop. I sat and hemmed and hawed about it thinking for her range. Maybe she would 3 bet 3h 4h 5h preflop, but seems unlikely. In the end i honestly just said, she has an 8 low and that is it. I called and she rolled over Q Q buried, A 8 5 2 J, so i scooped. Literally the next hand she took the same line and i raised her with aces up and she called down with K K buried.

  9. The part that threw me off the most was that seat 3 just called behind. One can say, he just called to trap us, but he could also call because he was weaker than we thought. Especially after he just calls down the rest of the way. I agree that i need to raise, the way the hand played out, it seems like if i became the agressor, than i either lose one of them, or they just call down as they did

  10. I will give the results after, but i really felt lost in this hand after 3rd street. 11. I guess i am mis understanding what you are saying. I feel the biggest part of this hand is the turn play. If my play should be different on other streets then let me know. I am trying to plug some leaks, but i think my flop 3 bet with flush draw and 2nd nut low are fine, but i am dissapointed with my turn play. As it looks, i think my turn play looks defensive saying, i think i have the best low with a chance at the high, but saying this phrase also means i should raise the turn correct?

  13. Thanks for the thoughts guys. I do agree from both sides, i am a little more nitty than i like, but it goes both ways, sometimes it saves me bets, but other times i also loses me some. I bet out to scream i have an ace here hopefully getting raised by A K or something inferior, when i just got called i said, alright, this guy probably has a low draw, and then what i said previously. The only thing i dont like is how transparent my hand is, but in this scenario i have to, i want the whole pot. In the end, the Villian turned over.... *drum roll please......* 9 9 3 3 doulbe suited, great preflop call dude! So i took it down and then mumbled to myself for awhile before posting here.

  14. The notes i had on the guy said he plays very straight forward. When he called on the flop i put him on a random 25, 24, 4 5, etc type of hands. When i got raised on the turn it screamed A 9 to me, but i just couldn't think of an A 9 hand he would have here, but it could very easily be possible, as well as A 10.

  16. Yeah, i am playing limit currently, i am starting low and working my way up so sometimes i think there is value in being tricky with lots of people in to get more out of it, rather than scaring mediocre hands off. Since these are low stakes, like you said, most people say it looks good, looks bad, or i can see and extra card in case another low one comes. Sometimes so many people are in there is value in having lots in and taking half, but of course scooping is our primary goal. Thanks for the tips

  17. I have played this game for years, i know it is the second best starting hand, what i am looking for is if there is any discussion to just call and eithe disguise or keep more people in the pot, yes it seems silly, but i havent played in a year or more and i am interested to what people think
