  1. I had to buy a new hard drive and redownload Pokerstars a few days ago. Had to download pokerstars.net. No problems there. But when I tried to cashout my whopping $250, there's no cashier tab on the homepage now, so I can't get access to my account. How am I supposed to cashout? Send an email to customer support? A little help here, please?Much appreciated.

  2. It doesn't show it airing in the southeast Michigan area. That's no goddamn surprise, the NBC heads up sh*t rarely aired and they sure as f*ck don't show PAD around here.
I'm not seeing it here in Milwaukee's TV listings either. Will it be on Carplayertube or Pokertube after it airs on TV?
  3. I think it was Chris Ferguson that explained it as "10% short term luck and 90% long term skill" that prevails and gets you the money in the long run.Playing the proper cards, in the proper posistion, against the proper opponents, and excercising proper bankroll management that makes a winning player over the long term.Sounds logical to me.

  4. i saw a dealer i think it was at the bellagio 5 years ago who would race and beat the auto shuffler. i wondered how he didn't get tired after a few hours.
We had a dealer at the B&M here about 2 years ago who was the nicest, friendliest lady, but dealt like she was on Red Bull and crystal meth! 50 hands an hour easily without breaking a sweat. She made mad tips, though. One time I made the mistake of having my hand in the way of her deal, and she literally gave me a paper cut on my finger!Last I heard she was out with carpal tunnel. Go figure.
  5. Here's another thing I was thinking about. When I first started getting interested in this game we call poker I was researching online what books to purchase. Some random website had HL suggesting a book called "The Zen of Poker." It's basically #100 poker Zen-like ways to approach the game. I re-read it whenever I'm feeling like I've lost my patience. Anyway, one of the rule in it is something along the lines of "to be successful you have to embrace breaking even." Whenever I sit down I always think of how much I want to win or I put a limit on how much I am gonna allow myself to lose before quitting. But I never think about how I will feel if I break even. Sometimes that gets to me more than losing.
I've read that same book myself. One of the comments is about poker being a long term results game, and the long term is alot longer than we think, and not to look at any session individually, but think of it as one long session. Wether or not we win today, we most likely won't remember this session say, a year from now, so there's no need to be upset or elated at our results that particular day. It's meant to keep us level headed throughout our poker careers by looking at the bigger picture.Great advice. If only I could remember that as I'm getting sucked out on for the nth time....... :club:
  6. Is anybody else the Type-A, OCD, uber competitive, hate to lose at anything type, like me?When things don't go the way we plan, it feels like the poker gods, or bowling gods, or golfing gods, or your sport here gods, are smacking you around like a tennis ball?I'm certainly not proud of the fact that I'm that way, and at least I can say I'm not a sore loser (Outwardly, at least. :club: ) I don't berate people or tap the fish tank. I may want to push them in front of a bus, but would never blow up at them. I save it all for when I get home, where I have a punching bag in my basement to take out my frustrations on. I understand losing is part of the game, like Ivey said. Don't mean we have to like it. But I go into a funk for a while til I cool down. But when I win, I'm a happy little camper.Maybe I should see a psychologist about my self esteem issues.......? :ts

  7. I'm in the midst of a 200BB downswing playing 3/6 LHE live twice a week.I've had 12 losing sessions in a row and counting.Combo of other players chasing and catching, me missing draws, and I'm starting to get gun shy, and starting to play like a wuss.If this keeps up much longer, I'm gonna climb to the top of a water tower and start picking of girl scouts with a RPG launcher....Seriously though, losing sucks. :club:

  8. Started the year playing 3/6 live and ran goot with 6 winning sessions in a row. Was up and down for 4 or 5 sessions after that.I have now had 10 losing sessions in a row.I'm down $1000 for the year so far. Only 167BB, but still......Variance is making me her bitch! :club:

  9. rd.jpgA girl phoned me the other day and said... Come on over, there's nobody home. I went over. Nobody was home.
My father's dying wish was for me to sit on his lap.....He was on the electric chair.....
