  1. droberts: I think with an overpair on a board like J93dd you can get away with a bigger flop bet. He wont fold a jack for hardly anything on the flop and If he has called pre with some speculative hand that now has a draw he is definitely calling $1.9-$2 on the flop, if not more. As played just jam the river, you only have $4 left, if he hasn't folded that jack so far no reason he will getting 4-1 here. You are right that you can't really c/f, our stack is too small for him to consider bluffing, so we have to bet.
  2. Yeah, my thinking. Figured much of his range was Ax hands and I was ready to fire the turn. Small turn bet was weird.Watched about half that vid. I hate flatting an UTG raise with ATs. As played it looks like he could easily have had AQ/AJ. Also, do you always 3bet so big? I virtually never 3bet more than pot unless against some huge fish who will call anyway. Usually 1-2bb less than pot.
  3. Whats this, a thread on fcp where people actually post about poker? Seeing as how I started playing again I might come back here....Hand for fun. Villan was pretty out of line with his 3-betting, and I was pretty out of line with my stealing. What do we think he has?Converted by a herd of feral cowsHEM/Full Tilt NL Hold'em $0.10/$0.25 - 6 playersUTG+1: $21.50 CO: $58.89 (Hero)Button: $28.95 SB: $25.00 BB: $34.02 UTG: $25.35 Preflop: ($0.35) Hero is CO with X X (6 players)2 folds, Hero raises to $0.75, Button folds, SB raises to $2.25, BB folds, Hero calls $1.50Flop: ($4.75) (2 players)SB b

  5. I don't hate it. Its generally better just to raise flop or raise more on the turn, but often we just scare off 1 pair. Deeper stacks you would definitely have to show more speed early on. The goal was to get villain all in, which you did, and no obvious draws hit. I wouldn't consider folding the river for 1 nanosecond.
  6. Ahhhh!!! Hate you!!!But you are right, it is good strategy. Not much fun for anyone involved but it works.
  7. You need to learn to stop worrying, and love the rockets.
  8. He was on break due to wsop obv... speaking of which...Oi! wsop is over, back to the grind ya slacker!
  9. Don't overplay one pair. Pretty simple, but is one of the huge basic differences.
  10. I'm sure someone will be happy to transliterate into braille.
  11. New lobby is pretty nice, it could do to be a little more compact though.
  12. I bet about 1$ on the river.I also bet more on the flop. Raise flop to $1.5, and then half pot on the turn will be around $2.2 which is fine. You could also raise a little more pf, but .5 is ok.
  13. Its marginal against this one player, but its the 6 people behind us who could wake up with a hand that makes this a fold to me.
  14. Hey, never noticed that you are a fellow kiwi.Gl with life sir.
  15. This. villain has 99-33 96.7% of the time here.
  16. Hand 1: bet more on the flop so its not quite so obvious we have AK, otherwise fineHand 2: fold pre otherwise ok, maybe raise a little smaller, .6 is more than pot.Hand 3: there are some players against whom I may lead the turn here, but your line is ok. You don't get value by raising the flop, you have a draw in a multiway pot, best value is to just call. If you raise you often end up HU vs a made hand for a larger pot which is not what you want.
  17. Stove it vs all 2 pair + hands and see what you get. Too tired to do it myself :)If he has a high steal percentage you an 3-bet pf occasionally here.
  18. First off, the big blind is not late position.I like just flatting the raise. Could be wrong, but we won't go broke often if we do, and could win heaps of AQ or AJ because hey, people always 3-bet AK right? Often we are going to be stacking off or playing a bigger pot out of position if we raise. If we are going to 3-bet though, I would say we should be stacking off with AK.
  19. I fold turn or river depending on villains stats.Yes people bluff the river with a flush draw here, no they don't do it nearly often enough to make it worth calling.
  20. I hope you enjoy that 10k hand break even stretch when it comes.
  21. Ha, very nice.I seem to remember a hand where smasharoo did this in his 50-1000$ limit thing.
  22. I approve of this win.Awesome effort dude, enjoy the tittie rubbing!!
  23. fyp The deeper you are the less likely you should be to 4bet this hand.
