  1. Can't you jump over the wall and get really short laps in that course?yah, that's a really weak best lapsorry, i meant 5.37 seconds. yeah of course you can jump over the wall, and you can jump back over the wall too, so its an extremely short lap. 5.37 seconds i meant.
  2. ken griffey jr's slugfest for the N64. you guys have no outs. and mariokart64, someone said he was good at that game but i would have a hard time believing that he could take me in that. wario stadium, best lap: 5'37''.
  3. from this wording, its pretty obvious he folded. if he had called, no one would have said anything. calling is not controversial, while folding is. having said that, I think that a fold is actually correct. you really really REALLLY do not want him to double up. if he folds, you have 1740, other guy has 170, he has 490. you are still dominating him like 4 to 1. if he doubles up, you have 1400, he has 820, other guy has 180. now he has a good chance of winning this thing. whole new ballgame. the thing is, if you fold, he is still desperate. if he calls and wins, he isn't. and if you win, you wi
  4. well yeah, he sure sucks at poker. i agree, it's a winning proposition to take all your money and play against him. what the hell does daniel know? i mean, its been like, 4 tournaments since he's made the final table! what a noob!shut the **** up.
  5. I think it was A-Q. I am not sure though. I know that there was a Q involved. I think it went Ivey had A-A and Varkhonyi had ?-Q, and phil flopped a full house and varkhonyi ended up getting a fourth queen on the river.varkonyi AK Ivey 33flop A 9 3turn Ariver A900 to one shotgoodnight Mr. Ivey900 to 1 shot? i dont think so. more like a 25 to 1 shot. running aces, running kings, ace king....its about 4 percent.also, SoWhatKid wrote:yesterday they played down to 27 players as you know! But they reached 27 players so fast that all the players had a vote to continue playing or not and Ivey wa
  6. okay so what ended up happening was i limped from the small blind, pretty much positive he would raise because he sees me as a loose player that will limp with any 2 cards from the SB here. unfortunately, he checked. so at this point i put him on AJ. the flop came A64 rainbow, and i checked, he bet about 3k and i folded. he showed me AJ. not a whole lot i could do there, i guess i saved myself money by limping.by the way, normally the way we play is that if someone is dealt a card face up it is burned, but when it is a face card we usually just ask them if they want it.
  7. okay we are in a live 10 man tourney, 10 dollar buy-in, and down to the final 3. the big blind has about 40k, the button has about 35k, and i have about 25k. blinds 500-1k. I am the small blind.so, upon dealing, the big blind is dealt a jack face up accidentally. we ask him if he wants another card or just to keep the jack, and he decides to look at his other card, before exclaiming that he wants to keep his hand. he's a very open guy with his emotions and so i figure he either has AJ, JJ, or KJ suited. So he is the big blind with at least a jack, and another card higher or the same. i am in t
  8. OMG!!!!!1scandalous!!!yeah you handled it fine. one time i saw a flop with my friend chaz, and the flop came K93, all of clubs. at this point, chaz flipped over his cards, saying "um, i think something's wrong", showing pocket kings, for a set, and the nut flush draw. yeah, you heard me right. a set AND the nut flush draw.the sad thing is, i was mega chip leader at that point, and we resolved to restart the tourney with a new deck. butttttt all ended well because i dominated those suckas, taking home 1st place, and 20 thousand dollars.
  9. maybe if you were smart you would realize that TT now has a runner runner J9 draw.nothing changed? ........everything changed.sexton is soooooooo cool.
  10. how about just do the ten best players in the world.....look, its like this. doylechanDNgusiveygreenstein2005 champannie i guess cause they have toledererhellmuththis would be a good table. people like juanda, jesus, lindgren, and TJ, they should all be on it, but only room for 10 players, and these ones above (besides annie and the 2005 champ) are better. well, juanda is good but he'll get the snub. by the way, chip reese? when's the last time he won a tournament?come on.
  11. dammit, i thought of that question like 3 months ago, and quizzed my friends on it, and they didnt understand. i win.
  12. by the way, i dont think anyone has mentioned that the average stack at that point was 11 million and the blinds were 400k/800k with a 100k ante. thats about 12 and a half BETS, total. basically, if you dont win a hand you are screwed, if tuan doesnt win this hand he is down to what, 3 million? simply put, you must push in this situation if you have any hope that you have the best hand. what, is he supposed to fold instead and leave himself with like 3 bets?also, for everyone out there that says tuan le blows, shut up. you blow. i am sure that you have made similar thinking errors more than on
  13. He check-raised you with an underpair?!! an underpair?!?!?!?!thats what you get for value-calling your nuts.
  14. exactly what i'm saying. if you are someone like DN, its not a problem if you fold on the river to a scare card and are short stacked. but when you are an inexperienced amateur, you need to try to get your money in in good spots like these and take the skill out of the game. DN's way is correct if you are DN, but incorrect if you are someone like Kurt, who cannot outplay the table to build his stack back.
  15. the whole point is that it doesnt matter. daniel specifically said that he didnt make a mistake at all. basically, there is a conservative way to play the hand and an agressive way to play the hand. kurt chose to risk elimination, feeling that having all the money in with the best hand was worth it. other people feel like survival is the best, and are willing to potentially lose money if boston folds on the river to a blank. survival is important in tournaments, but that doesnt mean that any play that goes against survival is automatically incorrect.the other thing is that Kurt is not a good e
  16. well i'm underage and i always figured that if i got down to the final 2 or whatever i'd just lose on purpose and take the prize money. that seems like the reasonable thing to do.or i could just give the seat to my dad, cause he plays.
  17. i want to see:iveygrinderwilliamsraymerjesussklanskyTHAT would be the nuts final table.
  18. ivey is the best.negreanu is 2nd.raymer is very very good, but not comparable to these guys.and yes, he is the real deal.
  19. ............i don't have anything to say.
  20. how many 16 year olds do we have on this site anyway?me, this guy, aceofspades, and a bunch of others.we should find a way to do a tourney between us, or a league or something. problem is i dont have any online money and i'm not allowed to deposit....but i could make something happen through friends probably. anyway, i think thatd be tight.900 bucks, nice job. my friend got up to 400 and started playing 3-6 NL....he got massacred. lost 250 in one hand with quads...lost to KKKK. as for your question, i dono, i always kinda feel that if a seven dollar bet scares you, a 20 dollar raise probably s
  21. true that. i think that we really need to clear this up, because this is the most important and controversial post i've seen all year.
  22. yeah so i agree with smash here.it's not like he is playing some celestial form of poker that no one has ever thought of. he is one of the best players in the world, and he is maybe at the very top of his game. but that doesnt mean that he is so much better than hellmuth, doyle, daniel, gus, pham, greenstein, even mizrachi for that matter.yes he is unbelievably good, but to say that he is playing so much better than every other pro just because he is on an insane run is ludicrous.a couple months ago, daniel was on a completely ridiculous run, and lindgren wasn't. now lindgren is and DN isn't.
