There's no way to work out a bet that long but yes. If you're surrounded by like-minded people, go to church and only watch Fox News, your perspective on this is going to be skewed towards the THANKS, OBAMA narrative. Once the epitaph on this age is written, the actions of Obama will go down as wise from start to finish. Wall to wall success. Success from 08-12 heading off a depression, success getting us out of the middle east and here shortly, success against the shitbags that expectedly rose up to fill the vacuum created by the absence of our presence which shouldn't have been there to beg

I actually think we should elect only black presidents from this point forward.

American cars in the 80s were at their absolute nadir. They couldn't get any worse. The US autos had become every-man-for-himself looter enterprises where all parties, from the management to the labor, didn't give one **** about the company or the product, they were just out to get everything they could in management wages and union concessions. It was a miracle they even lasted to the great reckoning of 2008. By all rights, they should've died completely off in the 90's but their full size truck offerings were still strong and kept a pulse in the corpse. These days, cars are 200K out of -
Obama's turning out to be one of the great ones. The fact that he personally went down to the SAC HQ in Florida to command our flying death robots in the low intensity, high selectivity campaign against IS is proof of this. If we had some turdhawk conservative in there, there'd already be 250.000 boots on the ground and a trillion worth of no-bid contracts issued to Raytheon. Watching the Roosevelt series on PBS over the past few nights. Teddy Roosevelt had a large and vocal coterie of haters, too. History judges presidents, Bush will go down as a Top 5 worst president, Hussein will be at

We're nearing the 30 year mark of the gaming boom. CA v Cabazon was over 30 years back. Historically, 20 years is about how long it takes for a radically disruptive X factor to overcome inertia of the status quo. They started importing Japanese cars in the 70's, American automakers laughed, "THEM JAPS MAKE JUNK!" as they continued to crank out 10,000-Miles-To-Your-First-Major-Failure Ford Tempos and Chevy Citations. The internet hit critical mass around 1995, but not really until the mid 2000's. Old media knew they had something to worry about but had their Pollyanna talking points abo -
As far as Pissbing/Rockhold, if I'm going to break out of 2014, that's going to be the fight I do it in because I shove Rockhold on anything -400 or better. That card is actually pretty decent from a 'serious fan' standpoint.

Big bet on Myles Jury. Tempted to take Roy since I think he just has so many more tools than Hunto but am not.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver had a segment on the Scotland Independence Debate. He noted that Britain actually passed a law banning the kilt, just to troll the Scots. It was called the 'Dress Act of 1746'. The next time you listen to some intellectually dishonest retard prattling psuedo-science and laughably fragile narratives about why marijuana is banned, meditate on the dress act, then research the history of marijuana criminalization. Literally the exact same thing. The first commissioner of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics said this: And while everything he s

A friend of mine unexpectedly OD'd some months back. I thought she was very good looking. \ Death is such a huge pain in the ass in every way.

His 'brilliant delicacy' cost him a blowjob. Women with extreme piercings and/or tattoos go down that road to signal to the world that they're available sexually to most anyone who isn't deformed. While 'delicacy' is a fine tactic for normal civilians, body-mutilators respond best to bluntness that positively acknowledges their attention-seeking mechanism then further validates them, personally, beyond their piercings and tattoos. "Hi, my name is Jane, I'll be your waitress this evening." "Hello Jane. Do those rings cause you any problems giving oral?" (Her, some stupid response that at

Boy do I hope Roy Nelson beats Hunto so a rematch with Arlovski makes sense... Only man to ever knock Big Country out.
-
All the good places are in neighborhoods where you shouldn't go. Some of them are OK in the day (Calumet Fisheries, Dat Donut), others aren't . Turns out there are fringe benefits to addiction.
-
Made a bit back on Arlovski but will still most likely close the year down, barring a huge run and some reckless bets. Beltran.Newton was a gas fest, Newton would be very interesting if he had gas and possibly UFC caliber but until he gets that under control, its a leak. He is essentially undefeated since 2010 (the Vegh splitter was Sanchez/Pearson'esque in its awfulness) so the numbers are there but he hasn't fought anyone that looked like they belonged in the big show. My guess is he's low level UFC gatekeeper level right now (@ HW). A Matt Mitrione type.At LHW, he's a poor-mans DC.
-
Anyone else watch Beltran v Newton? Great, great fight. Newton just has more tools but it reaffirmed why I've always been a Beltran fan (even though he got k'd completely tfo and he's 3-7-1 since 2011)

The Shalom Deli in the loop was run by a Japanese family. The best part about going there was watching as Jewish tourists would walk in and instantly realize they'd been completely buffaloed.

I think that was in Portland, OR which has become Hipster Mecca over the past decade. I'm not going to bother googling for accuracy but IIRC, hipsters gentrified the **** out of what used to be a low income black part of town (NE Portland), Whole Foods wanted to move in and the old residents of the neighborhood, realizing that Whole Foods was a gigantic icon of whiteness, opposed it.

Speaking of Chicago Footlocker on New Jordans Day, anyone see this? https://www.youtube....h?v=iD246Wk2DT0

As far as design, they're definitely black licorice. Love or hate. As far as 'shoes', they win in pretty much every way, which is my only concern. If they came out with Lime Green Air Jordans that wore and lasted like Mephisto Abels, I'd buy them and not give a **** about how they looked.
-
Solid design. I wear pretty much exclusively Mephistos, my favorite are these In the past 10 or so years they've really changed their designs away from the classic European styling to more 'sporty' like a Nike-Designed-Lesbian-Timberlands aesthetic. In the mid 00's, realizing that the classic Mephistos were going to eventually be completely gone, I spent poker cash buying up every pair of NOS Mephistos in my unusually large size that fell into that design range. At the rate they wear, I'll have shoes for the next 300 years. Also, there's a Serbian shoemaker here who rebuilds them

Look at how awful this FN is. http://en.wikipedia....elson_vs._Story Granted, you never know when an amazing fight is going to go down but those are some seriously uninspiring matchups. Again, this is the next FN. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_Fight_Night:_MacDonald_vs._Saffiedine Decent main, shit unders. This formula has got to end.

True story (25% of all stories I start off with "true story" are actually lies ranging from 'partially true' to 'completely fabrication') I was once in bond court, pretty slow for a weeknight. Two girls in front of me before its my turn. One is a white girl there on a heroin charge. The judge goes into a 10 minute tirade about the horrors of heroin, how he sees it every day, how it ruins lives, proceeds to walk her on a signature bond (basically released on recognizance) Next up, black girl, early 20s, four kids, arrested for having a bit over an ounce of pot in a big zip log, not di

He absolutely runs shit like that. There have been websites in the past that were critical of the UFC that were immediately cut off from interviews, etc. I agree, part of me is impressed that Dana commands that kind of respect and snap-to-attention but then there's the part of you that has to acknowledge how petty and lame it is. Either way, that host is a total nutrider and that was a pathetic showing.
